At the dinner table, the atmosphere was so warm it felt almost tangible.

Liu Ruyan’s eating manners had become noticeably gentler. She took small bites while bombarding Xia Feng with questions like a curious child about the massage.

“How exactly did you do it? Did you learn some kind of martial arts secret manual?”

Xia Feng leisurely shoveled rice into his mouth, enjoying the sparkling admiration in her eyes.

That divine massage was a golden reward produced by the Great Love System. Of course it was a secret among secrets.

He casually threw out terms like “human meridian theory,” “acupoint stimulation,” and “circulation of qi and blood,” making them sound profound and mysterious.

As expected, Liu Ruyan listened in utter confusion, question marks practically popping up over her head.

Seeing her adorably puzzled expression, Xia Feng laughed and interrupted her. “Alright, it’s too complicated. You wouldn’t understand even if I explained it. Just know that your husband is amazing.”

“Oh…”

Liu Ruyan nodded as if she understood.

But the way she looked at Xia Feng was even more filled with admiration.

Inside her sharp businesswoman’s mind, she had already begun calculating the commercial value of this skill.

Good heavens…

With Xia Feng’s master-level massage technique, if he opened a high-end private clinic, wouldn’t clients line up all the way to France?

Officials, magnates, billionaires. They would all line up obediently to throw money at him.

At that point, forget stuffing money into sacks. They could haul it in shipping containers.

After dinner, Xia Feng was about to stand up and clean the dishes.

Liu Ruyan suddenly sprang up from her chair, grabbing all the plates first.

“You go sit and watch TV! You cooked dinner, so cleaning up is my responsibility!”

Her face was serious, as if declaring an unshirkable duty.

Seeing how enthusiastic she was, Xia Feng let her be.

A female CEO willing to wash dishes for him. That sentiment alone was worth accepting.

He smiled, shook his head, walked to the living room, and sank comfortably into the soft sofa, turning on the television.

But he had barely settled in when a helpless and panicked scream came from the kitchen.

“Hubby! Help! Help me!”

Xia Feng’s heart skipped a beat. He flipped up from the sofa in one swift motion and rushed toward the kitchen.

When he reached the doorway, he froze.

The kitchen looked like it had been flooded.

His newlywed wife Liu Ruyan stood helplessly by the sink, completely soaked from head to toe.

The faucet had apparently gone out of control, spraying water at a bizarre angle. Most of it was drenching her.

The already thin cartoon pajama set clung tightly to her body once soaked, almost turning semi-transparent.

The graceful curves beneath were fully revealed.

Spring scenery overflowing, impossible to contain.

Xia Feng felt his throat go dry.

He hurried over, reached beneath the wildly spraying faucet, and after a quick adjustment, shut off the main valve with a click.

The rushing water stopped instantly.

He turned to look at Liu Ruyan, standing there like a drenched chick, both pitiful and irresistibly alluring, and could not help feeling both exasperated and amused.

“My dear CEO Liu, you can even turn washing dishes into this kind of disaster?”

“I… I didn’t know the switch worked like that…” Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

Liu Ruyan muttered in a small, aggrieved voice.

Xia Feng sighed, unable to scold her further. “Alright, alright. Go upstairs and change into dry clothes. Don’t catch a cold. I’ll handle this.”

“Okay…”

Liu Ruyan responded pitifully, lowering her head and leaving a trail of wet footprints as she hurried upstairs.

Xia Feng skillfully finished washing the remaining dishes and quickly mopped the kitchen floor dry.

When he returned to the living room, Liu Ruyan was already sitting obediently on the sofa, waiting for him.

However…

Xia Feng’s eye twitched when he saw what she was wearing.

It was a black sheer nightgown.

Very thin.

Extremely thin.

So thin that… well, it was basically transparent.

The color and style underneath were clearly visible.

Was this woman doing it on purpose?

When Liu Ruyan saw him, she immediately waved him over with a sweet smile. “Hubby, come sit.”

Xia Feng walked over and sat down where she had just been sitting.

The next second, Liu Ruyan naturally turned and plopped directly into his lap.

She adjusted into a comfortable position, curling up entirely in his arms, resting her head against his lower chest. She closed her eyes happily like a well-fed cat.

“I’ve always wanted this kind of life.”

Her voice was soft, filled with contentment. “Coming home after work and seeing you. Eating food you cooked. Watching TV together…”

“It’s all your fault, you blockhead! If you had realized your feelings earlier, I wouldn’t have had to wait so many years for nothing!”

One of Xia Feng’s hands wrapped around her slender waist while the other gently stroked her long hair. “Yes, yes. My fault. I made you wait.”

They stayed like that quietly, savoring the warmth they had finally gained.

Neither of them paid attention to what was playing on TV.

Soon, it was 10:30 p.m.

Time for bed.

They turned off the television and walked hand in hand back to the bedroom.

The door closed. The curtains were drawn.

Next, Xia Feng once again worked hard for those precious system points.

…

The next morning.

Liu Ruyan did not go to work.

Not because she did not want to. She simply could not get up.

The night before, Xia Feng had fully unleashed his terrifying 15-point endurance.

Now Liu Ruyan could barely move. She did not even have the strength to open her eyes and just wanted to continue sleeping.

Looking at Liu Ruyan lying stiffly on the bed, Xia Feng found it rather amusing.

He bent down, kissed her smooth forehead, and went to the kitchen to prepare enough breakfast and lunch for her entire day, placing them in insulated containers.

Before leaving, he softly instructed her, “Wife, I’ve left the food on the table. When you wake up, remember to eat on time. You’re not allowed to skip meals, understand?”

Only then did he change clothes and head off to work energetically.

After Xia Feng had been gone for quite a while, Liu Ruyan finally managed to crack her eyes open slightly.

Her face was filled with lingering fear and the expression of someone who had narrowly survived disaster.

She reached for her phone from the bedside table with trembling fingers and called her best friend, Chen Mi.

Chen Mi’s signature lazy voice, thick with morning irritation, came through the phone. “Liu Ruyan! You’d better have something earth-shattering to say! Calling me this early, are you insane?”

Liu Ruyan had no mood to deal with complaints.

In a weak voice, she asked the terrifying question that had haunted her all night.

“Mimi… let me ask you something… When men do that kind of thing… how long do they usually last?”

Chen Mi was stunned.

How would she know?

She had been single for years. All her knowledge came from the internet.

After thinking for a moment, she answered uncertainly, “Doesn’t the internet say… around ten minutes or so? Why? Why are you asking?”

Hearing this, Liu Ruyan’s voice trembled with near tears. “Then why… why did last night… last the entire night?!”

“I thought I was going to die! Really!”

Just thinking about Xia Feng’s performance made her legs tremble.

On the other end, Chen Mi was equally stunned.

All night?!

She was silent for a full five seconds before speaking in a very strange tone. “Wait… you called me early in the morning just to brag about this?”

“I thought your house was on fire or something! Damn!”

“I’m not bragging!”

Liu Ruyan hurriedly explained. “It’s just… I can’t move at all right now. My bones feel like they’ve fallen apart. I can’t even go to work. It’s terrifying! What should I do, Mimi? If it’s like this every day, I’ll really die!”

Chen Mi was speechless.

What else could she do?

“When he wants to do it, just refuse him.”

“No!”

Liu Ruyan rejected the idea instantly. “What if he thinks I’m boring and starts disliking me?!”

“…”

Chen Mi had completely run out of options. Half-jokingly, she said, “Then there’s nothing else you can do. Unless… unless you’re generous enough to let him find another woman to help share the workload. But I doubt you could accept that.”

She had only said it casually, venting about Liu Ruyan’s contradictory mindset of wanting everything but not being able to handle it.

However…

On the other end of the phone, Liu Ruyan’s eyes suddenly lit up as if a door to a new world had opened.

That’s right!

Just find another one!

That way her husband’s needs would be satisfied, and she would not be exhausted to death.

A genius plan that achieved both goals at once!

“That’s right! Mimi, you’re so smart! Just find another one!”

“Thank you, Mimi! I love you to death!”

With that, Liu Ruyan hung up abruptly as if she had just solved a major life problem.

Leaving Chen Mi on the other end, still holding her phone, utterly dumbfounded.

“Wait… what? She… she’s actually going to let him find another one?!”

Chen Mi got out of bed, walked to the window, and pulled open the curtains to check the sun.

“The sun… isn’t rising from the west…”

Because of Liu Ruyan’s astonishing train of thought, Chen Mi fell into deep self-doubt.
