POV Miria

After the farmer took the lamp, he decided to leave it to his descendants since he didn't have many material possessions to offer the next generations. Since I couldn't look out into the world through the man, I only watched what was happening from time to time.

Imagine my surprise when, eight years later, his son used the wishes to ask for a magic sword, defensive items (like armor and a shield), knowledge of magic, the ability to read, and an elemental blessing. As it turned out, the young man wanted to become an adventurer! And yes, he got a bit mixed up while formulating the requests, causing his mother to step in and help divide the remaining demands so that each one became an individual wish. Well, after that, I was able to see their relationship through the son, since the only elemental blessing I could grant was that of fire.

I continued inside the lamp for a while longer, observing the world. From what I've noticed, I am trapped in a country that possesses several different biomes, including deserts, freezing regions, grassy plains, and dense forests. It was thanks to this immense variety of resources that this nation prospered. The name of this country is "The Great Continent"—and yes, it's no joke, it's an entire continent all to itself, somewhat similar to the Australia of my old world. The difference is that this place is much more varied: the North and the South are extremely cold, while the middle is divided between a desert area and a field of plains filled with countless trees. Of course, I can also spot other continents from afar, but those other territories are much more primitive; it's basically the same difference that existed between indigenous peoples and Europeans in the Middle Ages.

Meanwhile, I see countless people traveling toward a massive structure... I think it's the very same tower I built back then! Mortals now call it "The Sage's Tower." It became famous for housing a sage who is said to know absolutely everything, as well as possessing an immense library filled with a vast wealth of knowledge.

And so, I remain inside the lamp while this world seems to be expanding at a rapid pace.

POV Leo Cromon

After establishing myself in the tower, I began working on a device to keep an eye on the magic lamp. For this, I used an item I suspect was created by the lamp itself as a base. Upon checking the artifact's status, I saw that it was still safely stored away. Yes, that was great news. I spent the following days immersed in creating and researching things, until finally, someone entered the tower.

"Um... what kind of place is this?" a young woman's voice asked.

She was a young lady with a curious gaze. I am young too, but I carry a massive amount of knowledge with me. I answered immediately:

"This is the Tower of Knowledge. It is currently the place with the largest archive of wisdom in the world."

She stood there in shock, unable to fully grasp what I had gathered there. Shortly after, she began bombarding me with questions like, "How was this tower created?", "What do you mean by 'currently'? Does that mean there will be another place with more knowledge in the future?", and "What is the actual goal of this tower?".

I answered every single question with absolute sincerity. When I told her my story, she was so deeply moved that she ended up bursting into tears. To calm her down, I extended my hand and told her she could have access to any knowledge she wanted.

"Any knowledge at all?" she asked, already calmer, though tears still glistened in her eyes.

I asked what kind of subject she would like to read about, and she replied:

"Do you have books with fairy tale stories?"

I promptly told her we did, explaining that we had both a section dedicated to fiction and one for real history. She opted for the fiction area and ended up isolating herself there for a long time. This is perfectly normal, since many real histories tend to end in unhappy finales.

I returned to my research laboratory and stayed focused on my work. That young woman decided to take up residence in the tower, which was entirely understandable given that the place contained so many fascinating stories and practical knowledge. Over time, more people began coming here—likely this young woman's family, who initially tried to take her back by force but eventually gave in. After that, a flood of new people started frequenting the place. I explained the tower's inner workings and its true objective to everyone.

Until one day, the lamp was stolen. I was shocked. Through my device, I watched the sacred artifact being used for the most foolish things imaginable: from selfish wishes for wealth or beauty to mundane household chores like washing dishes and cleaning the house! Seriously, those criminals went as far as clearing their names through bribes and, at the gang leader's suggestion, used the lamp to make people forget the crimes they had committed. My god, if I didn't have this protective artifact to see the truth, I would have forgotten and believed in their innocence too.

By a stroke of irony, the lamp ended up in the hands of a chef. He spent his wishes on culinary purposes until he was completely out of ideas on what to ask for. It was then that the Genie suggested he use the final wish to cure her amnesia. What do you mean she had amnesia? Of course, I had no way of asking her directly, but now a lot of things made sense: her expressions without knowing things. Well, that explained a lot.

Right after, the chef ordered a farmer to plant the exotic seeds he had requested from the lamp. I was intrigued by this. Perhaps when those seeds bear fruit and become famous, I will run some experiments to find out which biological family they came from and how the Genie managed to create a new type of plant from scratch.

I continued watching the transmission until the moment the chef gave the lamp to the farmer. He seemed to be an extremely humble man; I would dare say he is the most humble person I've ever seen in my life. I needed those wishes in the past, and while I didn't act out of greed like those thieves, I definitely wasn't as simple as that man. I just hope he doesn't wish for the Genie's freedom... But thinking about it, if she really is the Goddess of Fire, it wouldn't be a problem. She is the deity with the most feelings and is extremely starved for affection; if she regained her memories, she would probably want to get to know that man better.

Fortunately, he didn't free her, which left me much more at ease. Now, the lamp has become an heirloom for the future generations of that family.

Sometime later, the Royal Mage Grendan showed up at the tower in a hurry, saying the lamp had been stolen by thieves. It seemed he still didn't know anything about what had happened in the outside world. I spoke calmly:

"Calm down, Grendan. Everything is fine."

"How can everything be fine?!" he replied immediately, alarmed. "The lamp was stolen by criminals! Do you have any idea what kind of damage they can do with an artifact like that?"

Since he was too agitated to listen to me, I decided to take him to my laboratory so he could see the current situation through the monitoring artifact. He stared at the crystalline screen and saw the lamp resting peacefully inside the cabin of a simple farmer, without any sign of being a bandit hideout. Grendan was left open-mouthed. It was then that I explained in detail everything that had happened days ago. He finally understood the situation and said he would discreetly inform the kingdom that the lamp was safe.

Eighteen to twenty years have passed since that day.

Today, I am known by everyone as "The Sage." An entire city has formed and prospered around our tower, and of course, I didn't bar its growth. To be honest, I need successors since I cannot live forever; I intend to have children and pass down all the practical knowledge I have accumulated. Fortunately, due to the countless visits that young woman made to the tower in the beginning, we ended up becoming very close. Today, we are a couple. Her name is Clasy.

Well, I intend to continue observing the lamp from afar. One of my disciples, who was already tasked with monitoring the transmission, assured me that everything is fine. I took a quick look at the screen, and indeed, everything is stable. It seems the farmer's son, having become a quite famous and sought-after adventurer, accumulated a good fortune and managed to help his family. They no longer pass through hardships.
