POV Miria
I watch the world slowly change with the wishes—whether it's the tower helping Leo, who is now an elderly man, has taught a great deal of knowledge, and still uses the map, or even the recipes the chef used to popularize the country's cuisine. And, of course, over time, the farmer's family made a lot of money thanks to their adventurer son, who is now old as well. It seems time is passing by.
When you possess the memories of a goddess, you get used to just watching, or talking to people and spirits. Yes, I talk to fire spirits, though only the rational ones and those who are mentally stable. It's actually quite nice to have someone to talk to, even though the spirits constantly praise me and agree with everything I say. Well, this body belongs to a goddess, so it makes sense for them to act this way; I am far above them in the hierarchy.
It's funny because under normal circumstances, I could never have reached this level. The evolutionary ceiling for any common spirit is the classification of Higher Spirit, making it completely impossible to surpass that limit. However, due to the rules of the lamp, here I am at the highest rank of classification, which is a God.
I relax. From time to time, I talk to other spirits. Damn, should I make someone steal this lamp? Or buy it? Let me find someone wealthy near where the lamp is located... Found him. This person will do.
I begin speaking to this person:
"Hi George, do you have a minute?"
George grows alarmed.
"How do you know my name? What are you doing inside my head?"
The people around him start looking alarmed as well. I speak to calm him down, revealing what I am:
"Calm down, I am a goddess. It's normal for me to know these things. Could you do me a favor?"
He begins to calm down and asks in his thoughts:
"A goddess? Which goddess are you? The one of light? Or water? Or perhaps fire?"
I answer immediately:
"I am the Goddess of Fire. I need you to buy the lamp in which I am imprisoned. The person who owns it is near you."
He replies, sounding a bit less enthusiastic:
"The fire one? My faith lies with Lucy, the Goddess of Light, but I will help you. Do you know what the person looks like or their location?"
I reply calmly:
"It's a man walking with his children. He is near the inn where you were staying."
George looks over and spots the family: a father walking with his two children, a boy and a girl. He approaches them and offers any amount of money, but the man refuses. George has no choice but to offer for the man to come to his house.
"I offer another functional lamp in exchange. If you want to make the trade, just come to my house at this address."
The man looks at it and says:
"I'm not sure. It was my grandfather who got this lamp. Even if the other one serves the same function, I am not completely confident in this."
George, understanding his doubt, offers something else that interests the man.
So it is decided. They go to George's house, which is a castle, and he asks what the man wants. The man requests a royal title. George found it very complicated, but since they had already agreed on the deal, he had no choice but to give him a massive amount of gold and give him tips on how to purchase a title.
So after all that, the man leaves, and George, now holding the lamp, speaks to the Genie:
"It's done. Now, where do you want to go, goddess?"
After watching everything unfold, I say:
"Freeing me would be good, but since I know you won't do that, I think you could give me to a blacksmith. I hope he wishes for a very powerful sword."
George laughs because I am entirely right: he would never free me.
He hands the lamp to one of his servants and gives instructions on where to deliver it.
I get totally excited. Even though I became a woman, who says women can't like weapons? Some of my old tastes remained, while others emerged due to the body's influence.
Then I see a dwarf. Yes, a dwarf! I already knew about them because I had acquired knowledge about demi-humans, though I had never actually seen one, and the original Miria never wrote about demi-humans, even though she had seen them before.
The maid explains the lamp and mentions that it can grant any wish. The dwarf says nothing; he just takes the lamp and waits for her to leave. As soon as she steps out, he rubs the lamp.
