Detective Joseph and the Recording Crystal Ball
Joseph brought Selina into the great hall.
Below the platform, everyone was waiting for him.
He relished this feeling, as if everything was under his control.
He calmly sat down and raised his hand, signaling for everyone to quiet down.
Everyone’s gaze lingered on Selina beside Joseph.
Selina was dressed provocatively, with no intention of concealing her figure.
Some retainers below showed expressions of disgust, seemingly displeased with this woman’s presence.
“Everyone, the purpose of gathering you here today is to announce one matter.”
“I, Joseph Louis, will marry this woman beside me, Selina, making her the future Empress of the Empire.”
As these words fell, the entire hall was thrown into shock.
Only a few who were in the know remained composed.
But such news was too explosive; someone immediately stepped forward to object.
“Your Majesty, this is against protocol!”
“Then you tell me, what are the rules?” Joseph stared down at the retainer.
He remembered clearly that this was someone promoted by Eliana during her lifetime.
Before this, he had already disposed of many such people.
He had thought these people would behave, but he never expected that after all these years, they were still not satisfied!
Why couldn’t they just remain quietly silent?
What benefits did Eliana give them to make them so steadfastly loyal?
“I believe this woman is unsuitable to become Empress! We need a proper lady as the public face of the Empire!”
“Are you saying you are defying my will?”
Joseph wasted no words, his gaze fixed directly on this minister.
The minister did not reply, merely lowering his head, sticking to his decision.
At the same time, many other officials stepped forward to support his statement.
“Good, very good. It seems that after all this time, you have all forgotten who is truly in charge of this nation! Do you think the master of this nation isn’t me, but Eliana, who has been dead for many years?!”
Joseph slammed the armrest of his throne and stood up, glaring furiously at the crowd!
No one dared to respond.
“I am the master of this entire nation! My word is command! I will do as I please, and I don’t need you to tell me what to do! Just like when I decided to execute that castoff from the Rumelter Family before! If I deem him guilty, then he is guilty!”
“Your Majesty, regarding this matter, I have a different opinion!”
Ronny stepped out from the crowd.
As one of the leaders of the Royal Knights, his words carried significant weight.
He knelt on one knee and spoke earnestly.
“Yesterday, concerning the several murder cases within the Empire, we have caught the real culprit. As for Henry, he was merely framed!”
With that, someone dragged the half-dead Demon Scorpion inside.

During the process, Lore and Demon Scorpion exchanged a fleeting glance but quickly looked away.
Ronny pointed at Demon Scorpion and explained seriously.
“It was this man who killed the civilians. During the struggle yesterday, he also killed my other companions! If Henry hadn’t helped me, I would have surely died on the spot!”
Gasps of surprise erupted throughout the hall.
Everyone present knew the relationship between Henry and the Rumelters.
When everyone believed Henry was guilty, Ronny actually came forward to speak for Henry!
The tide of the situation seemed to be shifting.
But Joseph would not accept Ronny’s one-sided account.
“This is merely your testimony. Are you trying to say the Rumelter Family framed Henry?”
All eyes turned to Lore.
As the head of the Rumelter Family, he held absolute authority.
Lore stepped forward, his tone calm.
“Your Majesty, regarding this matter, I do not know who the culprit is. I merely provided the Empire with an investigative direction; it does not mean I believe Henry is the criminal.”
Hearing Lore’s words, clear anger flashed in Joseph’s eyes!
How could he not tell that Lore was trying to distance himself from this matter?
“Perhaps this is all just an act put on for your benefit, Knight Ronny. Remember your true allegiance!”
Joseph stared intently at Ronny, an invisible pressure bearing down on Ronny’s head.
Ronny bit his lip hard, seemingly caught in a dilemma.
But after struggling internally, he still voiced his conclusion.
“I believe Henry is not the criminal! The real murderer is the man before us!”
“Then where is the evidence? Where is your evidence?”
Joseph roared in anger, pointing at Ronny as if he completely distrusted him.
Ronny looked up with difficulty, his eyes filled with disbelief.
Even his word counted for nothing now!
Seeing Ronny didn’t refute him further, Joseph continued pushing his narrative.
“From what I know, that castoff abandoned by the Rumelters is a cunning bastard. He deceived Jessica, making her disrespect me. At the same time, he murdered civilians and is now trying to use this accomplice to escape!”
Joseph looked at Demon Scorpion on the floor.
“Tell me, is Henry your accomplice?”
“What’s in it for me if I tell you? Can I avoid death?” Demon Scorpion sneered.
But Joseph raised his head magnanimously, appearing quite haughty.
“You can, but you have still committed crimes. You must atone within the Imperial Capital and work for the Empire!”
Hearing this, Ronny’s expression changed dramatically.
He hurriedly spoke up to stop it.
“Your Majesty, you mustn’t! This man is a notorious killing fiend! If you release him, the lives of the citizens will be threatened again!”
“Silence! You traitor, I now suspect you have an improper relationship with Henry! From this moment on, you are no longer a member of the Royal Knights!”
Ronny froze on the spot.
He had never imagined the situation would develop like this.
His Majesty the King seemed never intended to listen to him, single-mindedly determined to put Henry to death.
What was wrong with him?
He would rather believe a captured criminal than his own words!
Hearing Joseph’s words, Demon Scorpion actually stood up from the ground, a smile appearing on his face.
“Of course Henry is my accomplice. If it weren’t to save him, why would I take such a huge risk to break him out of prison? I just never expected that guy would betray me, trying to use me to escape! But His Majesty is wise, seeing through the deception at a glance.”
“That’s bullshit!”
Ronny swore, but soon soldiers came forward to restrain him and escort him out of the hall.
Hearing Demon Scorpion’s explanation, Joseph nodded with satisfaction.
This was the answer he wanted.
To destroy someone, he only needed to wield his power slightly.
This was the effect he wanted to achieve.
He wanted everyone to know that he was the master of this Empire!
“Would His Majesty rather believe a criminal than an upright Royal Knight?”
Reina Noel’s voice sounded from below the platform.
She stepped forward slowly, holding a crystal ball in her hand.
“What a coincidence, it seems my student happened to record the events of yesterday.”
