They got him. That was his first thought.
The enemy had already taken control of the Black Wing Corps.
Brainwashing? Or maybe they used a high-level Illusion art to show them a fake Rosella?
”You’ve GOT to be kidding me!” Rosella shouted, throwing her hands up.
”Calm down, Your Highness,” Marqui said, his voice tight with urgency. “We need to think about what to do next.”
These were people they’d built the corps with, side by side. There was no way they could just attack and chase them off.
”I’ll prove I’m the real one,” Rosella declared, her jaw set.
”How?” Marqui asked.
”I’m walking out there. There’s no one else who can be me. Only me!”
In the game, Rosella would’ve kept her cool a little better than this.
”You saw the castle guards,” Marqui continued, his mind racing. “The Black Wing Corps soldiers are probably under the same kind of mind control.”
Love nodded in agreement, her kunoichi instincts already calculating escape routes. “Likely. From here, I can see the fake Your Highness as well. But if everyone believes that thing is the real princess, there’s no point in trying to explain.”
”Love, you can see it?” Marqui asked, surprised.
As expected of a kunoichi.
”Um… here, take the spyglass,” Love said, handing it over. “She’s at the center of the corps, on the most flashy horse.”
Marqui peered through it.
”Hey, let ME see first!” Rosella demanded, grabbing for the glass.
”…Your Highness,” Love said carefully. “You might not want to look.”
”Why?” Rosella asked.
Marqui handed the spyglass to Rosella without a word.
”Uh… Wait. That. No, no, that’s just wrong!” Rosella stammered, her face draining of color.
Marqui wondered what someone from this world would make of it. A clockwork puppet?
Steel skin. Ball joints. Yellow diamond-shaped eyes. She wore an outfit similar to Rosella’s signature costume. But there was no mistaking it. That was a robot.
”Our first priority is escape,” Marqui said, already scanning for exits. “We can’t win with just the fortress soldiers and the corps we brought. And more importantly, we can’t force soldiers of the same nation to fight each other.”
With Lili Lim gone, they couldn’t flee to the demon realm. The question was where they should go.
For what it was worth, there was another Cat Demon God here (aside from Lili Lim), but he could only travel alone.
”Ugh… fine,” Rosella sighed, her shoulders slumping. “Haah…”
”Well, personally,” Marqui said, a faint grin tugging at his lips, “I wouldn’t mind living quietly somewhere with just you, Rosella. Away from all this fighting…”
”Trust me, I’d love that too,” Rosella replied, meeting his eyes. “But I’m a princess. I have a duty to reclaim the kingdom for my people.”
And for that, they had to run. Survive first.
As they started moving, fortress soldiers climbed up to the rooftop. Marqui thought about asking them to help them escape. But he swallowed his words when he saw their faces.
They drew their swords and circled around them.
”Whoa, hold on. You actually believe what they told you?” Marqui asked, spreading his hands in disbelief.
They shot back immediately, voices overlapping in righteous fury.
”There’s NO WAY the princess would make such vulgar moaning sounds!”
”Exactly! She would NEVER reach climax from something as crude as her rear end! Which means YOU are the fake!”
”Princess Rosella doesn’t poop or fart!”
”What is this, a Showa-era idol fan club?” Marqui muttered under his breath.
Marqui glanced at Rosella.
”Th-they have a point, Your Highness,” he admitted sheepishly.
”Why do… why do men always have to project such weird fantasies onto princesses?” Rosella groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose.
In porn manga, princesses moaned exactly like that. It was totally normal.
Taking them all out would’ve been easy. But escape was still the better call.
With a quick exchange of glances, Love threw down a smoke bomb.
The fortress soldiers scattered in confusion. Oh, Medirina’s confused too.
As smoke filled the air, Marqui grabbed the High Elf’s hand and ran.
”Shit. They’re getting away! Block the stairs!” a soldier shouted from within the haze.
They headed toward the Ruulegard Kingdom side.
”JUMP!” Marqui yelled, pulling everyone toward the edge.
He was pretty sure Medirina could use Wind Spirit Magic too. No time for a plan. All he had was trust in his pet.
They leaped from the rooftop, dropping toward the cliff below.
”Eeeek! Wind spirits, please!” Medirina shrieked, her eyes squeezed shut.
A gust surged up beneath them, carrying Marqui, Rosella, Medirina, and the Cat Demon God (the other one) safely downward. Love, meanwhile, ran vertically down the fortress wall and onto the cliff face. Kunoichi skills were something else.
They touched ground slowly.
Actually, Rennes had used the same escape method in the game back then. Medirina had pulled it off beautifully that time too. So Marqui had figured it would work here as well.
”Everyone’s… made it, it seems,” Marqui breathed, his heart still pounding.
The system seemed to recognize them as a party automatically. He could see everyone’s status. Even Medirina, the lowest-level among them, hadn’t lost a single HP.
They were already on the Ruulegard side.
He doubted they’d send a big group after them. So long as they didn’t decide to march on the kingdom while they were at it.
”So. What now?” Marqui asked, turning to the others.
”Marqui-sama,” Love said, bowing formally, “I’ll go to the demon realm and inform Lili Lim-sama of this situation.”
”Yeah. I’m counting on you,” Marqui replied.
The Cat Demon God (the other one) left the party.
Another option was to head straight to Ruulegard Kingdom and ask Rennes for help. But that might backfire. If they wanted to paint Rosella as a fake, then running to Ruulegard would just give them an excuse to attack. They could claim the kingdom had planted her as a spy.
If they could regroup with Lili Lim, escaping to the demon realm was an option. But apparently, the living aren’t supposed to stay there for extended periods. Still, for short-distance long-range travel, the fastest method was to duck into the demon realm and pop out somewhere else on this side.
”Let’s find somewhere to lay low first,” Marqui suggested.
”I’ll scout ahead, then,” Love said, and vanished into the shadows.
Love left the party too.
They decided to wait while keeping an eye on the fortress.
An unfamiliar roar echoed in the distance.
Marqui remembered it.
It sounded like a jet.
”Marqui, what IS that thing?” Rosella asked, pointing at the sky.
It looked like a person. Flying. With flames shooting from its feet.
”Gwuh?!” Marqui grunted, his eyes going wide.
It was the robot that claimed to be the real Rosella. From here on, he’d call her Mecha Rosella.
Mecha Rosella landed right near them.
”This bastard!” Rosella snarled, drawing her holy sword.
”Medirina, stand back,” Marqui ordered, stepping forward.
They didn’t know Mecha Rosella’s full capabilities yet. It was too risky to let the weakest among them fight.
In response, Mecha Rosella drew her own sword.
Wait a second. Was that a Demon Sword?
Marqui recognized the shape.
It was the same Demon Sword Rosella had used in the game. Deus Eater.
A shockwave erupted from the pitch-black blade, splitting the ground.
Marqui and Rosella dodged in opposite directions.
He could see Mecha Rosella’s status.
”Level… one hundred twelve,” Marqui breathed, his blood running cold.
That was Final Boss power. Exactly the same level as Rosella in the game’s final battle.
And what was this? Boss correction? Her HP was ridiculously high. The kind that drops through the floor once she joins your party.
”Her defense is ridiculous,” Rosella said, her grip tightening on her sword. “But with THIS sword.!”
Rosella closed in on Mecha Rosella.
True, the Stone Throne Sword had an ability that shaved defense just by landing a hit. But when Mecha Rosella deflected that holy blade with her Demon Sword, she spun around and immediately countered.
The horizontal slash aimed at Rosella’s torso. Marqui blocked it.
Heavy. Way beyond human strength. Oh right. Robot.
”If we’re comparing levels, I’m still.” Marqui started, but then.
Mecha Rosella’s eyes flashed.
He threw himself backward just in time. A beam shot past his stomach. A loud BOOM echoed behind him. It fired a beam from its eyes. Not just for show. This thing was a genuine combat robot.
”Can you just STOP ignoring the world’s genre?!” Marqui yelled, half-laughing at the sheer absurdity.
While he was busy yelling that, the next attack came.
Its mouth opened, and he saw the barrel of a gatling gun. He scrambled away in a panic.
RATATATATATATATA! Bullets tore up the ground, sending rocks and dirt flying.
He hid behind a large boulder.
”How DARE you hurt Marqui!” Rosella screamed, charging Mecha Rosella again.
Only to come running back as the mouth gatling opened fire on her.
”Huff… puff… WHAT IS THAT THING?!” Rosella panted, doubled over.
”You use similar magic yourself, Rosella,” Marqui pointed out.
”That’s NOT magic!” she shot back.
To the people of this world, it was an unknown weapon.
Two level-100-plus fighters, and they were on the back foot. Just having a ranged attack faster than magic gave them THIS much of an advantage. And getting close didn’t make it any easier to defend against.
”Rosella. Freeze its gun barrel with magic,” Marqui called out.
”Got it,” she nodded.
Could they blind its eyes too? The ranged attacks were all focused on the face. If they could force it into a pure sword fight, two-on-one. They’d definitely win. Probably.
They timed their magic activation. Rosella burst out from behind the rock. At the same time, Marqui started moving. Planning to coordinate with her spell.
But then Mecha Rosella’s chest piece popped open, and a pair of breasts launched at them.
”BOOB MISSILES?!” Marqui shrieked, his brain short-circuiting.
BOOOOOM! Direct hit, massive explosion.
Marqui’s body went flying high into the sky.
”MARQUI!” Rosella screamed.
He slammed into the ground back-first, pain shooting through him. Which meant he was still alive. Two-thirds of his HP gone. That’s an RPG world for you. With enough HP, you can survive just about anything.
”Rosella! Focus on magic!” Marqui shouted, forcing himself up.
And he could still shout, too.
”Freezing Barrage!” Rosella cried, unleashing a volley of ice.
The ice projectiles Rosella launched hit harder than Mecha Rosella’s bullets. They froze it from the face down, locking its upper body in ice and restricting its movement.
By the time Rosella hurried over with a look like she was about to cry, Marqui was already back on his feet.
”Are you okay, Marqui?” she asked, her voice trembling.
”One more hit from that and I’m dead,” he admitted, wincing.
Not having a healer was brutal. And they didn’t have time to wait for Love to get back.
Mecha Rosella’s eyes were glowing. Trying to melt the ice with its beam?
”What a piece of work…” Marqui muttered.
”We need to run, Your Highness,” Medirina called from somewhere behind them.
He couldn’t see the High Elf. Trusting that she’d managed to escape, the two of them fled.
His first thought was the church in the forest.
Where Bianche had been.
”Your Highness,” Marqui said, pushing open the door, “this looks like the lodging quarters. It’s empty. Let’s use it.”
They could rest here.
Probably the room Bianche had used. Simple, but it had a bed. Peaceful.
A good night’s sleep would restore all HP and MP.
”Ugh, I’m all sweaty,” Rosella complained, fanning herself. “I want to wash up. And stop calling me ‘Your Highness’. You were calling me Rosella earlier.”
Rosella pressed close, her sweaty scent hitting Marqui. And he got hard immediately.
”R-right. Just stay here,” he stammered, backing away. “I’ll look for food.”
He stepped out of the room and searched the lodging.
He didn’t think the Black Wing Corps would march on Ruulegard immediately. But they couldn’t afford to let their guard down. Just based on Mecha Rosella’s combat power alone, he suspected a single unit could wipe out the Ruulegard Kingdom army.
Splitting up from the Cat Demon God (the other one) had been a mistake. With his appraisal ability, he could’ve given them more detailed info.
In any case, bullets and missiles were finite resources.
He also wanted to know whether the robot ran on magic or something else entirely.
He headed to the kitchen and looked around.
”Instant ramen…” he said, staring at the packet in disbelief.
He really didn’t understand this world’s food culture.
Still, this would fill their stomachs.
He headed back to Rosella’s room to report what he’d found.
He opened the door.
Rosella was standing there, completely naked.
Even though she understood the situation in her head, it seemed that when her life was in danger, she’d go into heat and try to leave behind offspring.
Marqui stripped down to nothing as well.
As they drew closer, they each picked up the scent of the other’s arousal. Facing each other head-on, he slipped his fingers between her legs.
With a wet, slick sensation, his fingers found her swollen clit and rubbed against it.
”Aaah… hah, hah, hah, do it now. Make me yours.”
They’d tried before, but penetration hadn’t been possible.
But now, strangely, it felt like it could work.
Rosella’s hands came to rest on his shoulders, her glistening eyes gazing up at him.
They headed for the bed. Rosella lay down on her back first.
Marqui climbed onto the bed and spread Rosella’s legs open.
A sweet, tangy scent wafted from her folds, pulling his desire off course.
The wet, glossy pink of her labia beckoned to him with overwhelming force.
He aligned his hips and tucked the tip of his c**k against her entrance.
The head of his c**k felt pleasure from the labia alone, and his excitement climbed even higher.
He leaned his upper body forward, and they gazed into each other’s eyes again.
”I’m going in.”
”Mm, come to me.”
There was no unnatural resistance this time.
He thrust his hips forward.
Shlup, shlup, shlup! The head pushed past her entrance, enveloped in warm, slick wetness.
”Mm… aaah… it’s coming… mm… it hurts…”
He was in.
He felt a wave of emotion. But seeing her furrow her brow and adorably say “it hurts” made him even more excited than before.
He thought she was so cute. So damn cute!
And so, unable to hold back, he began to move his hips.
”It’s in. Aah, w-wait… it still hurts.”
”Hah, hah, hah, damn, Rosella, you’re so cute it makes me want to make you cry.”
”You idiot! You sadist!”
He pressed his body over hers and held her tight.
”Mmfh, so cute. Hah, hah, Rosella, you smell so lewd and good.”
He nuzzled his nose against the side of her neck.
”It’s my first time, you know!”
He reflected on that.
”Sorry, I’m way too excited.”
”Mmuu… be gentle with me.”
He truly didn’t want to rush through their first time together.
He slowed his movements, savoring every inch of Rosella’s tight warmth.
Countless ridges of flesh wrapped around the head of his c**k, naturally drawing him deeper inside.
It felt incredible.
”We couldn’t do this before…”
Had the coercive force disappeared?
Maybe because Mecha Rosella had appeared.
In other words, Mecha Rosella had taken over the role that the real Rosella was supposed to fulfill?
If that was the case, did that mean Rosella was now an inconvenience to the world?
He wanted to protect her.
An overwhelming surge of love washed over him.
”Rosella, I love you.”
Tears welled up from her eyes and spilled over.
”Finally… you finally said it.”
”Hadn’t I said it before?”
”No, you hadn’t. Ahh… I love you too.”
Their faces drew together at the same moment, and their lips met.
They pecked at each other, and when their tongues extended, they tangled them together in a frenzy.
Rosella’s arms wrapped tightly around him, and both of her legs locked around his waist.
Breathing hard. Hah, hah, hah. They kissed each other deeply, their tongues lapping at each other’s mouths.
They felt each other’s warmth, stroking and confirming the sensation of each other’s skin.
He pulled his face away.
”Marqui… it feels good now. So…”
Shlup, shlup! He quickened his pace, ravaging her depths with vigorous thrusts.
”Aah! Mmph, ah, ah. It still hurts but… it feels good.”
Her warmth clenched around him in a desperate, pleading squeeze.
The tight heat demanded that he conquer it.
Thud! Shluup! Nectar splattered from her entrance as he drove his c**k deep into her innermost depths.
”Aaah, amazing… it hurts but at the same time, something even better is surging through me.”
Rosella arched her back.
Feeling her breasts pressing against his chest, he felt something rising from the depths of his urethra.
Blurp, brrppp! Sploosh, splut!
Pleasure and joy erupted.
He poured his seed deep inside Rosella.
If v**inal s*x was now possible. Then so was pregnancy.
”I’m coming… aah, it’s so hot… mm…”
He saw Rosella’s face, a mixture of bittersweet longing and bliss.
Medirina didn’t think it was a failure.
She had sung her Confusion Song to let the two of them escape.
When Marqui and Rosella broke free, several mounted knights had already come charging out of the fortress.
Medirina, hiding behind a rock, noticed immediately and provided support.
The result was that she was surrounded by burly men.
”Hah… hah… what’s going to happen to me?”
Based on the pattern so far, she’d be stripped naked and gang-banged.
Just imagining it made her crotch soak through.
Her desires had been suppressed, and this was the result.
If she hadn’t been suppressing them, she would’ve taken off the black cloak herself.
”I’ll interrogate that elf.”
A woman in ornate, ethnic-clothing-style attire approached.
She came close. And whispered in a voice so quiet it would be impossible to tell she wasn’t an elf. Right into her ear.
”My name is Mika. Stay quiet. When the time comes, I’ll help you escape.”
She almost reacted in surprise but kept her expression neutral.
Still, she felt she could trust her.
There was a clear sense of resolve in the woman’s eyes.
Summary:
Marqui and Rosella discover the enemy has taken control of their own army using a robotic impostor, forcing them to flee the fortress while being pursued by their own soldiers. After barely escaping to Ruulegard territory, the mechanical copycat tracks them down and engages in combat, revealing terrifying abilities including gatling guns and explosive projectiles from its body. They manage to temporarily freeze it and escape to a church in the forest, only for Rosella to end the chapter by greeting Marqui in the nude.
Rosella’s desire surges in the face of mortal danger, and she and Marqui consummate their relationship for the first time. The act, once blocked by some unknown force, now proceeds naturally. Possibly because Mecha Rosella has assumed Rosella’s original role in the world. Marqui confesses his love, and they share an intimate, tender moment. Meanwhile, Medirina is captured by soldiers after covering their escape. A mysterious woman named Mika approaches her and whispers a promise of rescue.
