As Bakugo and I were positioning ourselves inside the building for the test
He turned towards me and said,
"Listen up, fish eyes. I'm going to defeat them, so do whatever you want, but don't get in my way. Got it?!" Bakugou said to me while glaring to make sure he was understood.
"Hmm, tell me, Bakugo, what is more important to you, winning or beating Midoriya?"
“What kind of question is that? Of course it's winning! I'll win by beating up that damn Deku.”
“Are you sure about that? Because right now it seems to me like you are more concerned about beating him and proving that you're better, more than anything else.” I call out Bakugo's attitude.
“I'll even bet that the moment you step out of this room, the first thing you'll do is run straight towards Midoriya while ignoring Uraraka. I'll also bet that instead of trying to incapacitate him immediately, you're going to try making him use his quirk before beating him to prove you are better.”
“Aren't I right? So, knowing all that, tell me, Bakugo, what is more important to you, winning or beating Midoriya?”
“Are you trying to die? If you have something to say, do it!!”
I shook my head before answering him,
“Sigh, I'll say this only once, so listen well, Bakugo.”
“First, you don't impress anyone with that delinquent act of yours; this is U.A., not some back alley or a playground. All you are doing is making yourself look like a fool, and we both know that's not true.”
“Second, I don't like losing. If what stands between me and victory is you and your ego, we are going to have a problem.”
“You…” Before Bakugo could say anything, he felt a hand pressed against his throat as if ready to tear it apart at the slightest movement.
“Shut it, I'm not done talking. Third, don't assume you are the only one who can threaten people; you'll be surprised to learn what I can do to you. Now you can go and do whatever you want, but if you forget the test and get played, don't blame me for ending everything in my own way. Are we clear?”
With that said, I made the black ghost release Bakugo.
“You fish-eyed looking bastard, I'm going to kill you.” Bakugo was looking ready to attack me, sparks coming out of his hand. Before he could act, though, we heard All Might's voice announcing the start of the match.
“Seems like you're out of time, so what will it be? Are you going to stay and fight me or go comfort the other?” I stood before Bakugo, relaxed and without showing any tension.
“Tch, just you wait, I'm not done with you.”
‘ What a classic villain-like line; worst of all of it was the normal timeline I knew he would lose. Haaa, what a bother’
Bakugo left the room to go find Midoriya and Uraraka.
Meanwhile, in the observer room, All Might and the other students watched as Bakugo left the room.
"There goes Bakugo. " Denki said.
"Midoriya and Uraraka just entered the building," Iida said.
"Hey, I wonder what Arata said to Bakugo; he looked really pissed. Jiro asked as she pointed to Arata.
"Yeah, I wonder too. Could it be that they argued?" Mina said.
“Knowing Bakugo, that's likely the case,” Asui responded to her.
They all looked in confusion at the monitor. All Might watched as Arata walked up to the bomb before he sat down and closed his eyes.
‘While Midoriya had incredible strength, even if he is unable to use it multiple times, with his intelligence he can make that one time count. Uraraka, on the other hand, with her quirk could incapacitate most people with a single touch, that is, if used correctly, especially if she got a hold of any debris to use as a weapon. The best thing for me to do is to have them separated and take them down before they can do anything.’
The reason I was provoking Bakugo early was to have him go extra hard on Midoriya and make sure he and Uraraka end up separated. Since I don't know what kind of strategy Midoriya is going to use against me, the best thing to do is to act first and take out both of them before they can get close or do anything.
Once Bakugo was gone, I took control of the black ghost and took off running after him. The element of surprise was my greatest asset right now. ‘ I'll use this opportunity to capture Uraraka once she and Midoriya are separated.’
I passed through the corridors that made up the top floor and found my way to the stairs. I grabbed the railing and jumped down onto the floor.
After my feet hit the concrete, I moved through the hallways of the bottom floor, always making sure to look around corners to not miss anything and be as quiet as possible so that I didn't alert anyone to my presence.
After some time, I heard someone running towards me. I looked around the corner to see Uraraka running in the corridor. I just waited for her to run past me before using the paralysis scream to incapacitate her.
‘ Well, that was a bit anticlimactic but expected nonetheless; fighting an unknown invisible enemy will always be unfair.’
Uraraka stood frozen in place, unable to move, with an expression of panic and terror. Incapable of understanding her situation. All she could do was to wait.
‘Well, everything has been taken care of over here. The paralysis should last between 10 and 15 minutes, more than enough time for the test to end. Now let's go check on my partner…’
I trailed off, retracing Uraraka’s steps before hearing Bakugo's voice.
"Are you looking down on me? Deku." He said, pointing his right arm at Midoriya.
They were in a narrow corridor, each facing one another with just enough room to fight.
"I am not afraid of you anymore!!"
"I always knew about your stalking, you know," Katsuki said, ignoring Midoriya’s words.
"Since you know me so well, I don't need to remind you of the nitroglycerin I sweat, right. Do you know what will happen if I release all the nitroglycerin accumulated in this bracer, right?" He said, putting his finger in the bracer's pin and pointing his hand toward Midoriya.
A second later, the bracer released a very big explosion, strong enough to shake the whole building and blow a hole through its side.
Thankfully, Midoriya managed to narrowly dodge the explosion and was currently lying on his back, shocked at the attack used on him.
"Ar-are you out of your mind?!"
"Use your quirk, Deku."
"!!"
"I want to break you at your full strength! Don't you dare hold back on me!!"
The voice of All Might erupted on the floor where they were, speaking to Bakugou.
"Launching such a powerful attack while indoors is foolish, young Bakugo! It doesn't matter if you are a hero or a villain! If you use another attack like that, I will have no other choice but to end this exercise forcibly, and you will lose, young Bakugo.”
Ignoring All Might and not letting any time pass for Midoriya, Bakugo rushed toward him with his explosions. Midoriya tried to counterattack by grabbing Bakugo's arm, but the latter used an explosion to perfectly fly above Midoriya and used another explosion on his back.
"Gaah!"
"Here's your beloved right swing!”
The situation wasn't looking very good for Midoriya, as after the explosion he received on his back, Bakugou just hit the boy's side with the metal bracer on his right arm at full strength.
"Aaah!" Crawling up, Midoriya ran at one wall and put his back against it to support himself.
"Why don't you use your goddamn quirk!? Are you still looking down on me?!" Bakugo asked, running toward him at full speed, ready to end the fight.
"I-I want to surpass you!"
The two of them were near each other, preparing to unload their attack.
"Detroit..." "Fucking..."
“ENOUUUUUGH!” Before they could go through their attacks, a scream resounded through the corridor, paralysing both of them.
A minute later, the voice of All Might echoed through the whole building.
"The heroes... have all been incapacitated. The villain team wins!!"
Hearing that, I began to descend the stairs and walked towards both the paralyzed Bakugo and Midoriya. I looked at the beaten-up Midoriya before turning to Bakugo, looking at him without showing any expression on my face and with a relaxed tone.
"You really thought that I would have let you do as you please? You are quite rude, you know."
“Haven't I already told you? I don't like losing, and if what stands between me and victory is you, we will have a problem.”
I look again at Bakugo's frozen expressions before shaking my head and starting to walk away, leaving the building through the hole he made.
"Stop your childishness."
The match was officially over.
