While thinking of fuinjutsu, his thoughts inevitably wandered to Uzushiogakure and its downfall.
According to Naruto canon, the other villages feared their power and, during the second ninja war, banded together to destroy it.
He wasn’t sure if Hiruzen abandoned Uzu and let it be destroyed like the another of theories suggested, but it was true that Konoha was in bad position during that war.
There was also the possibility that Madara and Black Zetsu manipulated the villages to destroy Uzu as well.
Fūinjutsu sealed all nine tailed beasts and had the potential to distrupt the ‘eye of the moon plan’.
Thinking about it now, Black Zetsu really did the most to help free his mother.
He was right up there with Danzo who was responsible for alot of the bad things that happened to Konoha.
Danzo really was the ‘scapegoat hokage’, if you blamed him for any tragic event that happened in Naruto it would be true.
He created Pain, caused the Uchiha massacre and even helped Orochimaru’s ‘Konoha crush plan’.
If Danzo was blamed for Konoha not aiding Uzushiogakuru, Akira would believe it.
If possible he would like to save more Uzumaki’s and not have them end up like Karin and her mother but that would require further planning.
He didn’t think he could save the entirety of Uzushiogakure, even if Madara didn’t manipulate behind the scenes, it was true that the other major villages cooperated to destroy it.
Though maybe he could help warn Mito without telling her about his memories.
It wasn’t that he didn’t trust her, but Edo tensei could forcibly control the dead and if Black Zetsu knows that his thousand year old plan is compromised, it would distrupt the timeline.
Akira didn’t really care about following canon exactly, but his knowledge of the future was undoubtedly one of his most powerful ace up his sleeve.
To be honest, he hated those Protagonists that work hard to keep the timeliness intact but he did understand partly why they did it, because they were weak.
Changing the timelines meant outcomes that were unpredictable, and if you didn’t have the strength to deal with the consequences of that outcome then it was better to play it safe and keep the timeline intact so that the outcome was safe.
But Akira didn’t intend to do that for long, he had the potential for one of the most broken eyes in this world and if he let canon play out like it was supposed to, then what was the point of even coming here?
‘I can start making bigger changes after I’m more powerful, at least until I master Flying thunder god which would allow me to escape most situations.
I can’t keep relying on grandma’s protection.’ Akira thought.
Mito was undoubtedly the biggest umbrella shilding him from the evil of this world.
Her sensory abilities can track malice, meaning Zetsu won’t come and spy on him and she kept Danzo from getting his wrinkly hands on him.
______________
Another 2 years passed and Akira’s life fell into repetition, though that wasn’t to say it was boring.
Waking up, eat, spend some time with Tsunade and Nawaki before they left and then study with Mito for the rest of the day then going back to sleep.
Akira didn’t yet have the photographic memory of the sharingan, but he was able to learn the basics of ninjutsu and fuinjutsu with Mito.
Things like the 3 different chakra control exercises that ,even though he knew them from the anime, he was able to get some of the smaller details that the anime might have missed.
‘Hmm, placing the leaf on forehead is the beginner exercise because the forehead is closest to the brain allowing for control to come easier.
I always did wonder why only this method was taught in the academy while tree and water walking wasn’t.’
Chakra is made up of physical and spiritual energy.
The physical energy comes from the body and is often tied ro the amount of chakra one has.
That’s why the Senju and Uzumaki have higher chakra reserves than the Uchiha even though the Uchiha have higher spiritual energy due to the sharingan.
Spiritual energy, on the other hand, leans more towards controlling the chakra and chakra potency, that’s why Sasuke was able to develop that many powerful variations of chidori, while Naruto relied on his massive reserves to brute force Wind release: rasenshuriken.
He also learned that basics of fuinjutsu with Mito, and she was surprised at how much enthusiasm Akira was showing to a subject usually thought as lengthy and tedious by many.
Seal matrices, symbols and compression runes were all very fascinating to him.
Akira remembered fuinjutsu being akin to computer coding and he knew just how powerful it really was.
After all a certain rabbit goddes got sealed inside the moon for a thousand years.
Right now he was studying storage seals that can store inanimate objects.
“Akira the the bigger the objects you want to place inside the storage seal the bigger the seal itself has to be. This doesn’t only apply to storage seals but to explosion tags as well, even Tobiramas flying thunder god, theoretically a bigger seal can transport more than one person.” Mito patiently explained.
“Then the reason it’s so small is because he created it as an offensive jutsu and it would have been ineffective if done bigger?” asked Akira.” Can the seals be made smaller?”
He remembered that in the battle Hashirama had against Madara, he carried a huge Scroll on his back that carried a variety of different weapons of various sizes.
Even Naruto had a huge Scroll for when he resumonned his shadow clones that were in sage mode on Mount Myoboku.
“You’re right, good job Akira. And no there is no known way of shrinking seals because only few people used bigger seals like that, making it a pointless endeavor because of the state the world was in at the time.” Replied Mito.
” But I can tell you’re interested in making the seals smaller so I can help you if you want.
I used to be known as the Uzumaki princess back in the day.” she said, proudly puffing her chest.
“Really, you’re amazing grandma!”
Akira was definitely interested in shrinking the seals, he wanted to have a small seal like Sasuke on his arm but he wanted to be able to store more.
And if he could shrink the flying thunder god mark down it would be harder to locate.
“Ok get some rest, today’s the day you finally mold your chakra.”
“Finally!” exclaimed Akira.
He didn’t have a problem learning but, any more and he would have thought the genre changed to slice of life.
After dinner he sat in lotus position with both Mito and Tsunade watching over him.
“Brat, why are you sitting like that, trying to attain enlightenment?” teased Tsunade.
“…”
Mito covered her mouth and chuckled, “Don’t mind her as long as your comfortable. Now I know you read Tobirama’s notes on how to mold chakra 3 times so go ahead and start. If anything goes wrong we’ll help.”
Ignoring Tsunade, Akira started.
He felt the physical energy in his body, it was weird trying to grasp the thing that made his body so energetic but after a minute he felt it.
Spiritual energy was easier, probably thanks to his past life’s memories but molding them was the real task.
He then guided them both towards his ‘danitan’, which was said to be in the middle of the stomach, and then tried combining them.
It was surprisingly easy, probably from reading the notes and having high spiritual energy to guide the chakra better.
Just when he thought it was over, the chakra in his dantian suddenly started going towards his eyes.
