The sharingan, also known as the copy wheel eye, has 3 stages before mangekyo.
Each stage is defined by a new tomoe and enhances 3 key aspects, perception, copying and genjutsu respectively.
During these stages, all 3 aspects are boosted, but one ability takes precedence.
The first stage, represented by one tomoe enhances perception more so than the other two.
Akira felt his insight into the world’s visual aspects deepen.
He also felt another, less talked about ability of the sharingan being activated as well.
A form of photographic memory, while it only allowed things seen with his sharingan to be recalled perfectly, it was still a very useful ability, one he planned to abuse the heck out of.
Now all he needed was shadow clones and becoming a powerhouse was all but guaranteed.
“Akira, are you okay?” asked Mito.
Given her ability to sense chakra, Akira wasn’t surprised she felt a sudden surge in his eyes.
“Yes grandma, it’s just, I feel like I can see the world better.” He said, opening his eyes and showing his newly awakened sharingan with 1 tomoe slowly spinning.
“That is the sharingan you inherited from your mother’s bloodline, but usually it doesn’t open this early, and under very different circumstances. Are you sure you feel fine?.” asked Tsunade.
She was already examinig his body, worry evident on both their faces.
” No sadness, no pain, no sudden urges to throw your head back and laugh like a madman?.”
He gave her a speechless look.
Both Tsunade and Mito knew how the Uchiha usually unlock their sharingan, it was also the reason they understood Tobirama’s caution against them, though he might have taken it too far.
“Yes Tsunade-nee, I feel fine.”
‘Though I am itching to give you a beating.’ He wisely kept that part to himself.
“If that’s the case then continue sensing your chakra.” Mito encouraged.
Though she was also confused, she didn’t dwell on it since she knew Akira wouldn’t lie about that.
She would just have to revisit Tobiramas notes.
Even though he hated them, he was also the one who knew the most about them.
She was sure that if he were to claim second at being knowledge about the Uchiha, no one would claim first.
Akira did as he was told, sensing the chakra in his dantian.
But while he was doing that something else happened, he found he could sense the chakra of people in a radius of around 10 kilometers.
He even felt the huge amount of malice radiating from the nine tails inside Mito.
He found he could also sense a different energy in the air itself, which he guessed was natural energy.
‘Is this the Mind’s eye of Kagura?
My father was part Uzumaki and Senju’s normally could also sense chakra from a great distance like Tobirama.
Given that both Ashura and Indra bloodlines in my body are pure, it does make sense to awaken it.
Now I don’t have to worry about Zetsu’s mayfly technique, only his impersonating technique.
If I find a way to sense malice like Naruto then I won’t have to worry about them at all.’
He quietly sensed how much chakra Tsunade had and compared it to his own.
She told him that her reserves were higher than the average jonin, and she was only seventeen this year.
His own reserves were a little less than hers putting him at around solid jonin tier, at just 4 years old!
‘Guess I don’t have to worry about chakra anymore, and since I have the sharingan my chakra will keep getting denser.
Soon I’ll be able to be like those fanfic Protagonists, punching Madara and kicking Kaguya.’
Akira told them about his sensing abilities.
“Ten kilometers when you just unlocked chakra, that’s amazing. Usually even Uzumaki ninja who have Kagura mind’s eye train at least a few years to reach that distance.” exclaimed Mito.
She also had awakened at, and being a genius herself started at only 6 kilometers.
After her initial outburst she became happy.
Marrying Hashirama and moving to Konoha meant she left her home behind, yet she never regretted following the man she loved.
Unfortunately, her children and grandchildren never unlocked the Uzumaki special traits.
But having her Grandson who awakened one meant she could start teaching something other than her signature sealing techniques.
She even wondered if he could somehow replicate the nine tails malice sensing that she had access to, she didnt have high hopes but she would still try.
“Akira even though your chakra has been unlocked don’t perform any jutsus yet. First get accustomed to how it feels and we’ll start with the leaf exercise to build chakra control.” said Mito.
“Alright grandma.”
“Good now get some sleep, you have a full day tomorrow.”
While getting up, Tsunade caught him off guard with a head pat.
“Good job brat.”
Furious he tried swatting away her hand but she was faster, gone like the wind.
‘What is she, a resident of head pat village with a population of 1?’

Morning came late, at least to Akira who couldn’t wait to start utilizing chakra.
Even though he was in this world for 4 years already, something about finally being able to use chakra, the most important driving force for power, made him realize that he was actually in the Naruto world.
A world where power was tangible and where he eventually had to rise to the top so that he could live happily.
Breakfast was loud, Nawaki going on and on about school and wanting to be hokage, Tsunade acting annoyed but still listening attentively and Mito watching all three with such deep love that only a grandmother could have.
One change from cannon that Akira thought was a very positive one was that Nawaki didn’t just shout about wanting to become hokage like early Naruto, but actually worked for it.
Seeing Akira, who was younger than him but already learnt more set a fire in the boy that kept burning brightly.
And yesterday, after finding out Akira awakened a sensory technique, decided he would learn the one Tobirama left behind.
Another reason that Akira thought that being Mito’s grandson was a cheat in and of itself, was the notes that Tobirama left behind.
They included all of his jutsu he recorded for future descendants, and he also left behind all his Forbidden jutsus as well.
Unlike the ones in the Forbidden scroll, these had all of his personal thoughts when creating them and he left them with Mito because he trusted her to find someone appropriate to pass them on to.
Truth be told, any Forbidden jutsu in Konoha could be blamed on Tobirama and his hate for the Uchiha.
The chakra sensing technique that Nawaki was learning was one for rapid tactical assessment on the battlefield.
Unlike the Mind’s eye of Kagura that rendered chakra useless for other techniques beside itself, Tobirama’s could be used on the move.
Akira also wanted to learn because while he could sense chakra from a very far range and even detect if someone is lying by their chakra fluctuations the way Karin did in canon, it rendered him immobile.
While Naruto didn’t have Mind’s eye of Kagura, one of the reasons he could have sensed nature energy while immobile was undoubtedly because of his bloodline and being Ashuras reincarnation.
“Grandma can I learn multiple shadow clone jutsu to help me read more books?” Akira carefully asked.
Tsunade spat out her drink all over Nawaki.
“….”
“Absolutely not, it is a Forbidden jutsu for a reason and you just unlocked chakra yesterday. I don’t want to have to visit my little brother in the hospital.” She replied indignantly.
“Tsunade is right, even though I know you like to read and you have larger chakra reserves than normal that is still to early for you.” replied Mito.
‘Well, worth a shot.’
“Then can we visit Uzushiogakure, I always wanted to see your hometown and I can learn more about fuinjutsu there.”
