The Nine Heavens and Ten Lands suffered a total defeat, and the Immortal Kings and True Immortal level figures had all likely been wiped out during the ten or so years Zhang Daoyuan was in Secluded Cultivation.
At the very least, as Zhang Daoyuan looked out now, he could not see a single item left behind by True Immortal level figures anywhere between Heaven and Earth.
All that remained were the endless Foreign Army and the countless cultivators of the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands.
They were still fighting at this moment.
Of course, it would be more accurate to call it a massacre rather than a battle.
After the top-tier combat power had all fallen in battle, the remaining figures were in complete disarray.
The foreign territory was looting the treasures of this world on a massive scale, while killing the cultivators of the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands along the way.
If this order were reversed, the number of dead cultivators would likely be even higher.
It would be calculated in the tens or hundreds of billions.
After the rules of the Sky Abyss swept across the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands, the Immortals of the foreign territory no longer existed in this world.
However, there were still a great many figures within the Human Dao Realm, and they were everywhere.
Ling Xin followed behind Zhang Daoyuan, and then witnessed a grand massacre.
A Golden Light Grand Path spread out beneath Zhang Daoyuan's feet, and boundless golden vital energy submerged the firmament.
Figures below the Supreme Realm had their bodies explode on the spot before they could even get close, turning into flesh and blood that merged into the Great Scarlet Heaven.
Occasionally, a few Supremes from the foreign territory would soar into the sky.
But even the most formidable figures could only exchange two or three moves with Zhang Daoyuan before being beaten to death.
Such figures would be absorbed by the weapon above Zhang Daoyuan's head, turning into an imprint that appeared on the Heaven and Earth Exquisite Mysterious Yellow Pagoda.
The surviving cultivators in the Great Scarlet Heaven soon formed an army with Zhang Daoyuan at the lead.
However, this army was rather scattered; the many cultivators were gathered together but lacked structure or system.
After all, the Immortal Ancient Era emphasized the Unity of Heaven and Man, with cultivators being integrated into one with Heaven and Earth.
They were all ethereal and immortal-like, rarely resorting to weapons, and appeared transcendent.
They rarely had experience in joint army operations, so they were somewhat disorganized when gathered together.
Looking down from the firmament, one could see it clearly.
Zhang Daoyuan stood at the very front, with a vast expanse of cultivators behind him.
The large group of cultivators was further divided into smaller groups.
They were basically organized by their Sects.
They gathered together, deploying the formations of their Sects to sweep across the land in unison.
Looking down from high above, Zhang Daoyuan looked more like an incredibly sharp arrowhead.
He killed the strongest figures of the foreign territory who dared to soar into the sky, while the scattered Foreign Army behind them was slaughtered one by one by the cultivators following him.
Zhang Daoyuan's actions would not be misunderstood by the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands.
Because he was the most outstanding genius in this world, and basically everyone knew him.
Although many people were unable to attend the grand gathering held in the South Sea Purple Bamboo Forest over ten years ago, the scenes from that time had spread throughout the entire Nine Heavens and Ten Lands.
Not to mention that even before holding that gathering, Zhang Daoyuan was already the most renowned Heavenly Prodigy in this world.
Some people might not know the Elders of their own Sect, but it was impossible for them not to know Zhang Daoyuan.
The reconquest of the Great Scarlet Heaven was swift.
It was a fact known to everyone that the Sky Abyss was about to explode, forming an endless Sea of Laws.
The Immortal Kings and Immortals of the foreign territory were well aware of this.
The top-tier Heavenly Prodigies and the most powerful figures had already left in advance after obtaining enough benefits or suffering enough injuries.
The figures left behind were all second or third-rate.
Even though the Great Scarlet Heaven was vast, by the time the sweep reached the thirty-second day.
The cultivators from the foreign territory in the Great Scarlet Heaven had basically been wiped out completely.
Countless cultivators breathed a sigh of relief and looked towards Zhang Daoyuan at the same time.
Although Zhang Daoyuan had not said much during this time and appeared very cold.
His ability to kill the top-tier foreign cultivators with just a few strikes naturally earned him endless prestige.
"Senior... Senior Zhang, what should we do next?"
The land was still full of vicissitudes, with ruined buildings and hard-to-eradicate Traces of War visible everywhere.
There was blood everywhere, and Skeletons could be seen all over.
The once-famous Blessed Lands were ruined beyond recognition, and the top-tier Inheritances had basically all been destroyed.
Do not be fooled by the fact that many people felt relieved during this operation in the Great Scarlet Heaven.
In reality, the top-tier Inheritances of most Sects had already been taken away and copied by the foreign territory.
Although some Classics had been recovered now, they were not the most important ones.
"Regroup, sweep the foreign territory out of the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands, then rebuild the Border Pass and re-establish our Sects!"
Zhang Daoyuan replied almost without hesitation.
This was a path that had to be taken.
He wanted to rebuild his own Sect, Bodhi Mountain, and the other cultivators also needed to rebuild their own Sects.
Of course, the prerequisite for all of this was to first sweep out the cultivators from the foreign territory who had invaded the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands.
Returning to Bodhi Mountain with large piles of corpses, Zhang Daoyuan forced a large number of the foreign cultivators' corpses to Dissolve into Dao at Bodhi Mountain.
Although most of them had not reached the peak of the Human Dao Realm and were figures below the Supreme Realm.
But when hundreds or thousands of cultivators Dissolved into Dao here, it still became a Blessed Land.
Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy even descended from the firmament, turning into visible mist, and finally into droplets, forming a small lake.
The thirty thousand and six Bodhi Trees originally planted here grew faster under this nourishment.
A gentle breeze blew, swaying the leaves, and a crisp sound of rustling leaves echoed out.
Sitting here in meditation, one could almost enter a state of Enlightenment.
The broken stone tablet of Bodhi Mountain still stood there, while Ling Xin collected one Skeleton after another from between Heaven and Earth, burying them under different Bodhi Trees.
Those were the corpses of the disciples of the Bodhi Mountain Sect he had collected during this time.
Every time he buried someone whose identity was confirmed, he would carve their name onto the Bodhi Tree.
But in the end, even after spending great effort, he only managed to collect about a thousand Skeletons.
The rest could basically no longer be found.
The fighting had been too intense; weaker figures who were defeated might have directly turned into a Blood Rain, leaving nothing behind.
Powerful figures might have been specifically collected by the enemy to be used to Refine Weapons.
Zhang Daoyuan did not interfere much; he instructed Ling Xin to guard the place.
He himself, according to the previous agreement, took command of the many powerful cultivators of the Great Scarlet Heaven and began to reconquer the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands.
Cultivators from the foreign territory were still wandering in this world, continuing to loot treasures as much as possible while searching for the items they wanted.
And this time when they went out, there were more intense battles compared to before, because the mutation of the Sky Abyss had also been Perceived by the native cultivators of the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands.
