“Everything is ready,” Jiang Rong saw other top-tier games holding events, and she remained calm.

Due to the limited time for the competition, all the games would try their best to attract players during the event period.

Game events are a routine method for games to attract and retain players externally.Full novel: In the Interstellar Era, Becoming a God Through Making Games — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Therefore, during the competition, each game would at least hold one event.

Just like Jiang Rong’s game, she had already organized an event earlier.

But a new problem arose: the timing was too close, and if the content of the events was too similar, it might backfire.

Fortunately, Jiang Rong had thought this through from the start of her game.

“Chezui Home is divided into two parts: adorable pets and decoration. The last event focused on pets; the second one will focus on decoration,” she planned.

The content of the event was set long ago, and collaborating with the Home Furnishing Guild was an unexpected bonus. However, it did not interfere with Jiang Rong’s plan—to integrate the guild’s furniture with her own scheduled activities.

Bai Yang and other players were feeling anxious about the data of Chezui Home, just as they saw an announcement that the game would soon launch a new event.

“Chezui Home is holding its second event?!” players were stunned.

“Great! We missed the last event, but now we finally have a chance for the second one,” cheered new players who had just downloaded Chezui Home.

They arrived later and knew that the first event had already ended, so they felt some regret. But now, they happily found they could participate in the second.

“The content of the second event should be different from the first, right?” some players couldn’t help but frown.

For new players, the similarity in event content didn’t matter much.

But for veteran players, having the same event again made it hard to feel the same excitement as before.

“The content of the two events is different,” Jiang Rong confirmed.

“That’s good,” the veteran players sighed in relief.

Soon, the second event in Chezui Home was ready to launch. After logging in, players immediately checked the rules.

“This time, the event is about collecting home fragments, which can be exchanged for themed furniture.”

“What’s themed furniture?” players were confused.

“This is a temporary experience of themed furnishings,” Qu Yuan found the experience button and pointed to it.

Just like the first event, players could personally touch the adorable pets, and now, they could also temporarily experience themed furniture.

Qu Yuan pressed the button, and several themes popped up, including 【Ice】【Fire】【Forest】【Ocean】【Spring】【Autumn】—a total of six sets.

“Let’s start with Ice,” Qu Yuan clicked on the first 【Ice】 theme.

In an instant, Qu Yuan felt the temperature around her drop to a cool, but not cold, level. Looking at her shop, it had transformed dramatically.

First, the glass—the initial transparent white glass of the shop had been replaced with something still white, but now decorated with frost and snowflakes.

The flooring also changed to resemble ice crystals, making it feel like being on an icy surface, but without slippery smoothness, so she could stand steadily.

Then there was the furniture—mostly in white shades, like the icy chairs and tables in the lounge area, made from translucent materials that looked crystal-clear.

The pet staff’s items also transformed into ice elements, with shapes altered accordingly.

As for the pets themselves, they now wore snowflake decorations, making them look even cuter.

“It’s like being in an icy world,” Qu Yuan’s eyes widened.

Suddenly, she felt a coolness on her cheeks. She looked up and saw delicate snowflakes gently falling from above.

The snowflakes weren’t cold or obstructive; instead, their presence made the whole shop appear more breathtaking.

Especially when snowflakes landed on the fluffy pets, they didn’t melt away immediately but instead fell in a beautiful snow-like effect.

The pet staff didn’t feel cold; instead, they played with the snowflakes happily.

Qu Yuan’s heart was pounding, and with great effort, she managed to finish experiencing the【Ice】 theme.

“Next is the【Fire】 theme.”

With the【Ice】 theme as her baseline, Qu Yuan wasn’t surprised by the【Fire】 theme’s style.

The shop’s glass in the【Fire】 theme was predominantly red, with flame-like animations flickering on the windows.

The floor turned into flowing red, making it feel as if she were standing above simmering lava.

The matching lounge and pet areas also changed accordingly, all reflecting fiery elements.

In fact, the overall temperature inside the shop didn’t increase much, but visually, it radiated warmth.

“Unlike the【Ice】 theme, there are no snowflakes here,” Qu Yuan looked up, a bit disappointed.

At that moment, a breeze entered from outside, caused the wind chime at the door to sway, and a warm sensation spread over Qu Yuan’s body—so comfortable she couldn’t help but smile.

“Ah! I can’t imagine how happy I’d be spending winter in a【Fire】 themed shop!” she thought excitedly.

【Forest】 theme!

Ying Jia took a deep breath and clicked on the third【Forest】 theme.

This time, her entire appearance turned green, with green vines and leaves appearing on the transparent glass, tinting the entire glass in green.

As for the floor, it was a plush grass-like texture, making her feel as if she had stepped into nature itself.

“Vines! And the chairs—they are swing chairs made from green vines,” Ying Jia was stunned as she looked at the furniture in the lounge area.

The chairs, woven from green vines, were also swing-style.

She quickly sat down to experience it.

The vine swing moved gently, and Ying Jia felt as if all her worries had vanished in that moment of joy.

Suddenly, a bright green bird swooped over from somewhere, flying close to Ying Jia.

She instinctively tensed and tiptoed to stop the vine swing from swinging further, extending her hand forward.

The green bulbul circled in midair for a moment before landing on her finger.

Ying Jia held her breath, worried that any movement might scare the little bird away.

Suddenly, a cat’s meow sounded—immediately, the green bird fluttered its wings and flew away.

Ying Jia saw a few cats, using tree-stump-like cat trees as cover, pounce forward, then jump into the air as if trying to catch the bird.

Their claws nearly touched the bird’s wings.

At that moment, her heart was pounding near her throat.

Then she saw the cats’ paws pass right through the bird’s body. As the cats landed gracefully, they looked up and meowed, clearly puzzled.

Ying Jia heaved a sigh of relief. “Looks like the bird isn’t real.”

Soon, more birds flew in, some alone, some in flocks.

Ying Jia noticed that, without the disturbance of cats, the birds would perch anywhere and even interact politely with people. But once a bird was caught by the cats’ actions, it quickly flew away.

“Next theme,” Ying Jia took a deep breath.

The next theme was 【Ocean】.

The overall atmosphere of the ocean theme was blue, with the glass windows and floors turning ocean-colored.

Unsurprisingly, the view outside the glass windows was quite spectacular.

Faint bubbles rose from the bottom to the top outside, accompanied by passing schools of fish—some familiar, some unfamiliar—as if the entire shop was immersed in the sea.

The floor was mostly ocean blue, with swimming fish visible inside, and irregular white circular paths scattered across, resembling coral reefs where people could stand.

Ying Jia found herself immersed in the scene. Though she knew the blue parts of the floor beneath her feet were safe to step on, she still preferred to walk mainly on the white reef-like stones, which gave her a greater sense of security.

Arriving at the lounge area, she saw that all the seats were opened clam shells, each with a pearl perfectly positioned as the seat.

The tables had transformed as well—rounded on the top, forming half circles, supported underneath by several irregular slender legs.

Ying Jia gently touched one table and received its information: it was a “jellyfish table.”

Most importantly, the jellyfish table was soft—a springy, bouncy texture that made her reluctant to leave it.

After quite some time, Ying Jia finally left the lounge and headed to the pet staff area.

There, the colors became richer and more vibrant. Clusters of coral and seaweed appeared everywhere. For the pets, it was like a miniature maze, and they were playing joyfully.

Suddenly, Ying Jia noticed a transparent bubble rising from beneath her feet. Unable to resist, she reached out to touch it, and the bubble popped and vanished.

Immediately, more bubbles rose from the floor, floating lightly around the shop.

Their presence lent a dreamlike, ethereal atmosphere to the entire store.

“The fifth theme!” Liang Man struggled forward to the fifth theme.

“Spring,” she guessed, “should be similar to Forest—mostly green.”

But once inside, she realized she was completely mistaken.

Where the Forest theme was dominated by green leaves and vines, the Spring theme was a riot of colors.

Outside the glass windows climbed lush vines adorned with vibrant flowers. Though green was present, the brightly colored blooms stole the attention.

The floor, like the grassy floor before, was soft and plush—but the color was entirely different.

Liang Man recognized it and said, “Those are petals.”

Indeed, the Spring theme’s floor was paved with various soft flower petals, gently shifting, creating the feeling of walking through an ocean of flowers.

In the lounge area, the tables and chairs transformed into floral shapes, each set unique. Some were regular seats, others designed like cradles.

Unlike the rectangular vine swings of the Forest theme, the flower cradle in the Spring theme was a rounded cocoon-like form that enveloped the entire body, allowing the back to relax fully.

Liang Man tried the flower cradle and found it a completely different experience from the vine swing in Forest.

The only similarity was that she loved both.

Furniture in the pet staff area adjusted accordingly.

Liang Man placed flower wreaths on the heads or necks of the pet staff one by one.

At that moment, a pleasant scent reached her nose.

“Wow, is this flower fragrance? It smells wonderful.”

Some of the little pets couldn’t help sneezing and pawed at the wreaths, making Liang Man smile.

Suddenly, she noticed some movement outside the glass.

She widened her eyes and saw flower fairies—fluttering butterflies.

Their wings bore colors as myriad as the blossoms, and as they danced, it looked as if the flowers themselves had taken flight.

Before Liang Man could fully absorb this beauty, butterflies flew into the shop, several circling around her in groups.

Watching the butterflies swirl around her, Liang Man took a deep breath and resolved, “I must secure this theme!”

Meanwhile, Bai Yang, streaming live, had already reached the sixth theme.

“The sixth theme is Autumn; let’s take a look together,” she said.

Entering the Autumn theme, her vision lit up with golden hues.

It was golden—the color of harvest!

The glass windows turned gold, decorated with gilded ginkgo leaves. Unlike withered fallen leaves, these radiated a unique vitality.

The floor transformed into a carpet of golden autumn leaves. As Bai Yang walked, the leaves fluttered; after she passed, they settled back down.

In the lounge, the tables and chairs became wooden tree-like forms, complemented by hanging ginkgo leaf vines, making the space neither dull nor monotonous.

The entire shop shimmered in gold; combined with the perfect glow of the sunset, the atmosphere was warm and serene.

Suddenly, Bai Yang heard sounds and looked around, unable to locate their source.

It was the sound of flowing water.

Alongside the water were other sounds.

“Cicadas,” Bai Yang moved closer to the window and found where the sound came from.

The cicada calls came in bursts, intermittent and broken.

The water’s flow was constant; even without seeing it, one could imagine a gentle, winding stream.

Together, these two contrasting rhythms created an autumnal symphony.

“At first, the cicadas’ calls are a bit harsh, but after getting used to them, they’re quite pleasant.”

“That’s because cicadas don’t sing continuously; if they did, you wouldn’t think so.”

“All right, we’ve seen all six themes. Which one does everyone support?” Bai Yang brought the focus back.
