Even from dozens of meters away, the terrifying shockwaves from the battle made Sakiko’s entire body tense.

Only now did she truly understand what Makoto meant when he said battles between the core characters were beyond anything they could interfere with.

And this was only a fight between Itadori Yuji and Choso.

According to Makoto, beings like Jogo and Ryomen Sukuna stood on an entirely different level above them.

Just imagining most of the area inside the Barrier being destroyed later made Sakiko instinctively wrap both arms around Makoto’s arm.

Makoto, meanwhile, kept sensing the movements on both sides, not daring to lower his guard for even a moment.

Fortunately, Chen Guohao’s group had clearly been intimidated by the horrifying battle ahead as well.

They didn’t dare come any closer.

Time passed second by second.

After one final violent collision, the battle abruptly fell silent.

Footsteps echoed through the empty subway station.

Choso slowly walked toward Makoto and Sakiko like a man who had lost his soul.

Just seeing his blood-soaked body was enough to make every hair on their bodies stand on end.

Choso sensed the two of them as well.

However, he merely glanced at them from the corner of his eye before continuing on his way.

He was completely consumed by the agony of having fought his own brother and had no interest in dealing with them.

As long as they didn’t attack him, Choso couldn’t be bothered to kill anyone else.

Only after Choso disappeared down the stairs at the other end of the bridge did Makoto and Sakiko finally relax.

They had safely survived the Choso encounter.

“What do we do next?” Sakiko whispered.

“We save Itadori Yuji.” Makoto naturally scooped Sakiko into his arms again.

This time, she didn’t struggle at all and immediately began adjusting her emotions.

They soon found Yuji.

The high school student lay in a pool of blood, barely breathing.

Makoto knew perfectly well, however, that with Ryomen Sukuna residing inside him, Yuji was nowhere near easy enough to die here.

Looking at the 50 Fate Value floating above his head, Makoto couldn’t help feeling impressed.

‘Even as the protagonist, Itadori Yuji really does have one hell of a miserable life.’ “I’m starting.” Sakiko slowly extended her hands.

White motes descended onto Yuji’s body, causing his wounds to gradually close.

But Yuji’s injuries were even worse than Ijichi Kiyotaka’s.

At this rate, it would take several minutes before he could regain consciousness.

Makoto’s attention quickly shifted away from him.

Saving Yuji had never been his true purpose for coming here.

He was waiting for two enemies who had their eyes on Yuji—or more accurately, on Ryomen Sukuna inside him.

Hasaba Nanako and Hasaba Mimiko.

As followers of Geto Suguru, the twins had been forced to watch as the corpse of the person they admired most was stolen by Kenjaku.

Enraged, they desperately wanted to let Geto Suguru finally rest in peace.

Unfortunately, they were far too weak to oppose Kenjaku’s group directly.

They had even cooperated with Kenjaku in hopes of eventually achieving their goal.

But Kenjaku’s future plans depended entirely on Geto Suguru’s body.

There was no chance he would willingly give up his greatest advantage.

With no other option, the twins turned toward Ryomen Sukuna.

They planned to awaken the thousand-year-old King of Curses and persuade him to kill Kenjaku.

Unfortunately for them, Ryomen Sukuna wasn’t the kind of person who repaid favors.

After only a few words, he killed both sisters.

Makoto considered them pitiful because they’d awakened jujutsu as children and were imprisoned and abused by their village for being monsters.

Their loyalty to Geto Suguru ultimately reduced them to minor characters who were instantly killed by Sukuna.

Yet being pitiful didn’t mean they were innocent.

The twins wholeheartedly believed Geto Suguru’s ideology that ordinary humans were nothing more than monkeys.

The number of ordinary people they’d personally killed had long since reached double digits.

This time, as Kenjaku’s accomplices, they’d harmed countless more civilians.

No matter how tragic their past had been, the moment they chose to stand against ordinary people, Makoto’s sympathy for them disappeared completely.

His true objective was to kill the twins.

And if possible, he wanted to take one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers as well.

As one of the highest-level Cursed Objects in the entire Jujutsu Kaisen world, a Sukuna’s Finger would surely be worth a fortune if he brought it back to the Main God Space.

As for whether losing one finger would eventually cause Ryomen Sukuna to get cut in half by Gojo Satoru…

That wasn’t Makoto’s problem.

Before long, two separate sets of footsteps echoed from the distance.

The farther group was messy and clearly contained several people.

They seemed frightened, cautiously feeling their way forward.

The other pair of footsteps was far more brazen.

Those two clearly didn’t consider Makoto or Sakiko a threat.

“Someone’s coming?” Their footsteps were so blatant that even Sakiko heard them.

Makoto nodded.

“Stop healing.

Get behind me.” Sakiko glanced at Yuji, whose condition had already stabilized somewhat.

Then she immediately stood and moved behind Makoto.

Two girls rounded the corner and appeared through a broken section of wall, locking eyes with Makoto and Sakiko.

The girl in front had long light-brown hair tied into a neat bun behind her head.

Her beige cardigan hung open over a fashionable outfit, paired with a dark-blue pleated miniskirt, knee-high socks, and brown leather shoes.

Half a step behind her stood Hasaba Mimiko.

Her straight black hair reached her back and was cut in a neat hime style.

Her dark-blue pleated skirt fell below her knees, while she tightly hugged a strange doll with a rope tied around it as though it were something precious.

Both girls looked around sixteen or seventeen.

Their faces were youthful and attractive, yet their eyes contained none of the innocence of ordinary students.

Their gazes first fell upon Yuji lying in the blood, then shifted toward Makoto with the cold scrutiny of predators assessing prey.

“Who are you?” Hasaba Nanako, dressed in the flashy gyaru style, spoke first while holding up her smartphone.

The harmless-looking camera was pointed directly at them.

Makoto knew perfectly well that the phone was the medium for her Cursed Technique.

“It doesn’t matter who you are.” Hasaba Mimiko tightened her grip around the doll in her arms, visibly tense.

“Leave now, and nobody gets hurt.” “Sure.

We’re leaving.” Makoto raised both hands and gave them a harmless smile.

He slowly backed away with Sakiko.

However, while retreating, an invisible spatial barrier had already formed in front of them, faintly distorting the light.

They were standing inside a restroom where the lights flickered on and off.

Against that unstable lighting, the minor distortion was almost impossible to notice.

Just as Sakiko thought they were really going to leave— Click.

Hasaba Nanako pressed the shutter button on her phone.

In that instant, both Makoto and Sakiko felt as though their bodies had been frozen solid.

“Now that you’re here…” Nanako smiled coldly.

“Don’t even think about leaving.” … Read 10+ chapters here!
