Under Li Huizhen’s control, hundreds upon hundreds of bullets transformed from Fukuzawa Yukichi bills fired at once.
The sound of air being torn apart merged into a continuous roar throughout the corridor.
Rows of fluorescent lights shattered overhead, while the walls were riddled with bullet holes.
Chunks of concrete and debris flew everywhere, filling the corridor with smoke and dust.
Her boyfriend, Park Jeong-ho, happened to be standing directly in the line of fire.
Unable to react in time, his entire left arm and shoulder were shredded by the bullet storm.
He screamed and collapsed, blood pouring from the severed limb and staining a large section of the floor red.
Chen Guohao dropped flat the instant the gunfire began, narrowly avoiding the barrage.
Kobayashi Yuu was short enough to crouch against the wall, escaping with only a bloody cut across his forehead from flying debris.
Every Cursed Spirit in the corridor was killed by Li’s attack.
If calling this place a corridor of blood had only been a metaphor before, it had now become reality.
Fortunately, the flesh and blood formed from Cursed Energy vanished along with the dead Cursed Spirits.
For a few brief seconds, the oppressive horror hanging over the corridor seemed to clear.
Looking around now, countless bullet holes covered every surface while Park’s screams echoed continuously.
Li stood there panting heavily.
Alongside the fear on her face was a faint, almost crazed smile.
It was the kind of smile that appeared after someone obtained enough power to overturn everything.
As though as long as she had money in her hands, she could finally control her own fate.
Li bent down and reached toward Park.
But when the screaming man stretched out his remaining hand toward her, she simply moved aside.
Instead, she ripped open one of the suitcases on the ground and grabbed another huge handful of Fukuzawa Yukichi bills, preparing for the next wave of enemies.
At that moment, the Hasaba twins’ pained groans reached her ears.
Only then did Li realize her previous attack hadn’t merely killed the Cursed Spirits.
She’d shot the sisters too.
Several bloody holes had been punched through their bodies.
If Jujutsu Sorcerers weren’t physically tougher than ordinary humans, both girls would’ve already been dead.
And it was only now that something hidden on them became exposed.
Hasaba Nanako had broken the seal, revealing the finger of Ryomen Sukuna.
Ominous Cursed Energy poured from it, releasing a deadly attraction toward Cursed Spirits below a certain level.
“Ryomen Sukuna’s finger!” Chen cried out in shock.
Li gave him a confused look, so Chen hurriedly explained what little he knew.
He only knew that it was one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers and that it possessed an overwhelming attraction toward Cursed Spirits.
As he spoke, greed gradually appeared in his eyes.
If they could bring something like that back to the Main God Space, the returns would be enormous.
Unfortunately, another swarm of Cursed Spirits surged toward them at that exact moment.
“You suppress the Cursed Spirits.
I’ll retrieve Sukuna’s Finger,” Chen told Li.
Li immediately refused.
She was afraid Chen would simply take the finger and run, leaving her behind as cannon fodder.
She shouted at him not to move and demanded that they settle exactly how they would cooperate from this point onward.
Chen’s eyes burned with fury.
He found this woman utterly unreasonable, yet her terrifying firepower forced him to stop.
While they argued, Li once again hurled Fukuzawa Yukichi bills through the corridor to clear the approaching Cursed Spirits.
This time, she’d completely forgotten Makoto and Sakiko were nearby.
Fortunately, Makoto and Sakiko were still hiding around the corner and escaped the bullet storm.
Even so, the wall beside them was instantly covered in countless bullet holes.
Sakiko’s hands and feet trembled slightly.
“What do we do now?” Makoto glanced toward the Hasaba twins, who were already on the verge of death.
“We retreat.” Sakiko didn’t understand.
Makoto, however, knew that once Sukuna’s Finger was unsealed, Jogo would be coming.
But just as the two prepared to leave, an overwhelmingly destructive mass of scorching Cursed Energy surged from the corridor where Chen’s group stood.
Terrifying heat swept through the passage.
Even steel began melting beneath it.
The newcomer was an enraged Jogo.
He believed someone was genuinely trying to kill Itadori Yuji.
Makoto’s pupils contracted.
He grabbed Sakiko and immediately turned to run.
Then Yuu’s terrified cry came from behind them.
“Makoto-nii!
Save me!” Makoto looked back.
Kobayashi Yuu had been so frightened that he’d completely lost the ability to move.
The boy stretched a desperate hand toward him.
Even after witnessing the cruelty of this world, Yuu still remembered that the first person who had shown him kindness was Makoto.
Sakiko looked up at Makoto, silently asking whether they should save him.
Makoto hesitated.
By the rules of the Main God Space, he obviously shouldn’t.
But according to his own personality—and the image he’d built in front of Sakiko—he couldn’t simply abandon the boy either.
Makoto gritted his teeth.
“Hold on tight.” Sakiko immediately wrapped both arms around his waist.
Makoto extended both hands toward Yuu and activated Spatial Manipulation with everything he had.
Normally, the maximum effective range of his Cursed Technique was three meters.
But right now, he needed to break past that limit.
That obviously wasn’t something he could accomplish easily.
Then an idea suddenly flashed through Makoto’s mind.
‘Don’t Bindings exist?’ He immediately established a Self-Imposed Binding.
For this single activation, his technique would lose all offensive ability.
His feet would remain planted on the ground, and he would also carry another person on his body.
In exchange, he would push the range of Spatial Manipulation as far as possible.
The Binding took effect the instant Makoto formed it in his mind.
His technique, previously capped at three meters, immediately stretched outward.
Its range doubled.
A spatial passage opened two meters in front of Yuu.
Makoto was anxiously wondering how to tell the boy where to go when Yuu’s eyes suddenly locked onto the distortion.
Spirit Sight allowed him to see where Makoto’s power had manifested.
Yuu gathered the last of his courage and charged forward.
He vanished into the passage an instant before the approaching wave of flames swallowed the corridor.
Makoto felt what it was like to place a living person inside his Storage Space for the first time.
The result was surprisingly ordinary.
He didn’t feel anything unusual at all.
Yuu, however, immediately began suffocating once the space closed around him.
That taught Makoto something important.
His Storage Space could indeed hold living beings.
It simply wasn’t large or breathable enough for anything alive to survive inside for long.
With Yuu secured, Makoto prepared to flee.
Then Li Huizhen unleashed an even more terrifying attack toward both him and Jogo.
She used an entire suitcase of Fukuzawa Yukichi bills at once.
This time, she showed even less concern for anyone around her.
She completely ignored Park Jeong-ho’s desperate screams and pleas.
Seeing what she was doing, Chen roared in fury.
There was nowhere for him to escape.
Caught between the Cursed Spirits ahead and Li’s attack behind him, Chen reached into his Storage Space, pulled something out, and put it over his face.
Makoto didn’t have time to see what it was.
He immediately chose to escape.
But as he raised a spatial barrier behind himself for protection, his eyes fell once more on the dying Hasaba twins.
Nanako was still clutching Sukuna’s Finger in her hand.
Makoto briefly calculated how much space remained inside his Storage Space.
Then he controlled his Cursed Technique with one hand.
The Hasaba twins disappeared into it as well.
