The private preparation lounge overlooking the grand Zenith Coliseum was bathed in a serene, cool-toned ambient light that offered a stark contrast to the chaotic, hyper-charged electrical storms swirling outside its reinforced crystal windows.

Chloe stood before a floating holographic projection of the Second Realm’s structural grid, her star-glass spectacles flashing as her fingers danced across the data streams.

"I’ve mapped out Lord Kaelen’s primary energy vortexes across the sector," Chloe reported, her voice brisk and focused. "The Zenith Spire relies on a centralized plasma grid. If we disrupt his core synchronization during the arbitration duel, his entire framework will experience a cascading feedback loop. He’ll lose control of the sector energy supply within minutes."Full novel: Infinite Universe Lord: Awakening Beyond the Cosmos — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lily sat across from the console, gently folding a set of travel straps on Arthur’s leather shoulder bag. She looked up, her dark eyes meeting Arthur’s with an expression of absolute, unshakeable confidence.

"Kaelen is going to try and overwhelm you with sheer kinetic force right from the start," Lily said softly, adjusting the strap of his bag. "He wants a quick, brutal knockout to restore his wounded aristocratic pride before the council delegates."

Arthur stood near the center of the room, calmly resting his right hand on his sturdy wooden walking stick. He gave a reassuring nod, a quiet, steady smile touching his lips.

"Let him try," Arthur replied smoothly. "Brute force without a stable foundation is just noise. He’s building his domain on a house of cards, and he doesn’t even realize the wind is picking up."

A deep, resonant gong echoed through the corridor outside the lounge, vibrating against the polished quartz walls.

GONG—!

"Arbitration countdown complete. Competitor summons initiated. Sovereign Lord Arthur, please report to the arena gates."

Arthur took a deep breath, adjusted his collar, and stepped forward. Lily and Chloe walked beside him down the wide, vaulted hallway that led directly to the massive sliding bulkhead doors of the Zenith Coliseum.

As Arthur stepped through the towering archway and onto the circular combat platform, a deafening wave of sound crashed over him.

Fifty thousand spectators—composed of multiversal aristocrats, mercenary leaders, sector delegates, and curious merchants—filled the tiered balconies of the colossal floating arena. The Zenith Coliseum was an architectural masterpiece of the Second Realm, constructed from shimmering astral titanium with an open-air view of the swirling violet nebulas below. A massive, high-frequency energy barrier hummed along the perimeter to contain the catastrophic power of high-tier domain combat.

From the opposite side of the arena, Lord Kaelen of the Zenith Spire made his grand entrance.

Kaelen strode forward flanked by glowing orbital rings of electric blue plasma that hovered like halos around his shoulders. His pristine silver armor gleamed under the coliseum lights, and his face was twisted into a mask of arrogant triumph. As he stepped onto the stone platform, a chorus of cheers erupted from his supporters in the upper tiers.

"Look at him!" an aristocratic spectator shouted. "The Zenith Lord is going to wipe that country boy off the map!"

Kaelen stopped fifty paces from Arthur, planting his hands on his hips and sneering loudly across the arena floor.

"You actually showed up," Kaelen mocked, his amplified voice echoing effortlessly across the stadium. "I almost respect your ignorance, peasant. Walking into the Zenith Coliseum is like stepping into a lion’s den wearing a coat of raw meat. Today, the council will see your little Starlight Domain dissolved into space dust!"

Arthur didn’t flinch. He didn’t shout back, nor did he adopt an aggressive combat stance. He simply walked to the center of the ring, planted his wooden walking stick beside him, and looked at Kaelen with calm, unimpressed patience.

High above the arena, upon the golden adjudication dais, the chief arbiter raised his heavy platinum scepter.

GONG—!

"The Council Arbitration Duel for control of the Second Realm Energy Vortexes is now officially commenced!" the arbiter’s voice boomed across the coliseum. "No lethal executions permitted; combat continues until one domain core concedes or is rendered incapacitated. Let the arena initiate!"

Kaelen didn’t wait another fraction of a second.

"Die!" Kaelen roared, thrusting his right hand forward.

BOOM!

The orbital rings encircling his shoulders instantly surged with blinding, high-voltage plasma. Kaelen exploded across the stone floor with terrifying, jet-assisted speed, closing the distance in a fraction of a second. He threw a devastating right hook wrapped in crackling, lightning-infused astral energy, aiming a strike powerful enough to shatter solid titanium.

The spectators gasped, many leaning back in anticipation of a brutal, instant KO.

Arthur didn’t try to block the raw electrical shockwave head-on. With calm, laser-like precision, he pivoted smoothly to the left, letting Kaelen’s fist whistle mere inches past his shoulder. The sheer static pressure singed the fabric of his jacket, but Arthur remained perfectly balanced.

As Kaelen overextended his momentum, Arthur swept his sturdy wooden walking stick in a tight, compact arc, cracking it sharply against Kaelen’s lead knee joint.

CRACK!

"Agh!" Kaelen let out a sharp gasp of pain as his knee buckled under the unexpected, pinpoint impact. He stumbled forward, slamming his hand onto the stone floor to keep from falling flat on his face.

The stadium erupted into sudden, stunned silence, followed by a wave of nervous whispers.

"Did you see that?!" an onlooker muttered. "He completely evaded Kaelen’s plasma charge with a simple step!"

Inside the ring, Kaelen scrambled back to his feet, his face turning a dark, mottled crimson. The humiliation of stumbling before fifty thousand spectators stung him deeper than any physical wound. His breathing turned ragged, and the erratic, sputtering blue sparks along his armor—the same structural flaw Arthur had pointed out earlier—began to flare uncontrollably.

"You... you sneaky little rat!" Kaelen hissed, his voice dropping into a desperate, unstable register. "I’ll incinerate you and your entire valley!"

Kaelen threw his arms wide, channeling the full, unbridled energy of his centralized plasma grid. The entire arena floor began to tremble as four massive pillars of white-hot electrical current erupted around him, forming a cage of lethal voltage designed to vaporize everything inside it.

High up in the VIP box, Chloe gripped the edge of her holographic console, her eyes widening. "He’s overloading his core! If Kaelen maintains that plasma output, his domain’s entire grid will suffer a catastrophic meltdown!"

Down in the ring, the air grew scorching hot.

Arthur’s calm expression hardened slightly into a razor-sharp focus. He unzipped his leather shoulder bag and drew the dark, humming Void-Steel Blade.

The moment the blade cleared the leather, it didn’t spark or crackle with violent energy. Instead, it drank in the blinding light of Kaelen’s plasma cage, pulsing with a serene, deep empyrean blue glow that instantly stabilized the spatial barrier around them.

"Your foundation is cracking, Kaelen," Arthur said coldly, his voice ringing with absolute, crushing authority. "You rely on voltage because you have no core."

"Shut up! Burn to ash!" Kaelen shrieked, hurling the entire wall of plasma straight at Arthur in a tidal wave of destruction.

Arthur didn’t dodge. He stepped directly into the path of the incoming electrical storm, raising the Void-Steel Blade with both hands in a clean, vertical parry.

CLANG—!!!!!

The resulting shockwave was so massive it shattered the upper viewing glass of the nearest spectator tier, sending a blinding flash of blue and gold light cascading across the entire Zenith Coliseum.

Kaelen’s plasma wave slammed against Arthur’s blade—and instantly stopped dead.

The pure empyrean energy radiating from the Void-Steel Blade acted like a sponge for the higher-universe voltage, absorbing the destructive energy and converting it into harmless, sparkling silver mist that drifted down like gentle snow.

Kaelen’s eyes dilated in absolute terror as he stared down at the point of impact. The electrical rings around his shoulders sputtered, sparked erratically, and then shattered one by one.

"No... no, impossible! My grid is invincible!" Kaelen choked out, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth as the feedback loop ripped through his nervous system.

"Your grid was built on sand," Arthur whispered.

With a sudden, explosive twist of his wrists, Arthur channeled the full, unbridled vitality of the Starlight Domain straight through the blade.

CRACK-BOOM!

A shockwave of pure empyrean force swept outward, striking Kaelen squarely in the chest and launching him backward across the arbitration arena like a shattered doll.

THUD!

Kaelen crashed hard into the obsidian boundary wall, sliding twenty feet before collapsing unconscious against the stone. The erratic blue sparks died out completely, his armor went dark, and the Zenith Spire’s primary energy vortexes instantly powered down across the entire sector.

Silence—absolute, breathless silence—blanketed the fifty thousand spectators in the Zenith Coliseum.

For three long seconds, nobody moved. Then, the chief arbiter raised his scepter high into the air, his voice ringing out with triumphant authority across the sector.

GONG! GONG! GONG!

"The Arbitration Duel is concluded!" the arbiter shouted. "By absolute victory and undeniable domain supremacy, jurisdiction over the Second Realm Energy Vortexes is hereby transferred to... Sovereign Lord Arthur of the Starlight Domain!"

The stadium erupted into an earth-shattering roar of cheers, applause, and ecstatic shouting.

Arthur stood tall in the center of the smoking arena, lowering the glowing Void-Steel Blade and slipping it carefully back into his leather shoulder bag. He took a steady, even breath, resting his hand casually on his sturdy wooden walking stick as the golden light of victory washed over him.

A bright, triumphant musical chime rang out gently inside his mind:

"Arbitration victory successfully secured! Defeated Lord Kaelen, seized control of the Second Realm Energy Vortexes, and expanded domain territorial dominance. Earned 4,000 multiversal experience points, unlocked Tier-4 Domain Empire Expansion, and granted the supreme title: Master of the Zenith Nexus!"

Arthur smiled warmly, looking up toward the VIP balcony where Lily and Chloe were waving down at him with shining, proud eyes. The Second Realm had fallen into their hands, but the infinite cosmos still stretched out endlessly before them.
