"...Who are the Gold Rankers?"
"...I thought we all would start at the same level, but they’ve already put us into different categories based on our talent level."
"...How do they determine the talent level?"
The students were talking with each other. They were confused about the whole thing. But one thing was certain.
None of them wanted to be Bronze, because that meant that they were at the bottom of the food chain.
"The first gold rank..."
Thomas took one gold watch from the table, looked around the lecture hall, and then his gaze landed on the young man he was looking for.
The young man was already standing up—it was like he knew—he knew that he was Gold Rank.
"Nathaniel Blackwood!"
Thomas shouted.
A white-haired young man walked down the stairs. Everyone was looking at him. He was tall and handsome like a model.
The girls blushed at the sight of him. The boys narrowed their eyes. He was one of the three that they had to chase after.
Nathaniel stopped next to Thomas and stared down at everyone—like he was saying that they were all inferior to him.
"Nathaniel Blackwood has already been dubbed as the Future Star of the New America by the media.
"He is part of one of the Twelve Rising Stars of the World, and we’re proud to have him here."
Thomas said, and then he gave Nathaniel the gold watch, and he strapped it on his wrist with a cool look.
"...Twelve Rising Stars of the World—they are considered the best talent that the world has to offer and the future of Innerworld.
"...Nathaniel is the only one from New America who has been chosen for this prestigious group."
Joshua said to Devon.
However, Devon already knew about the Twelve Rising Stars of the World, as there were few friends of his in there as well.
Nathaniel’s presence shook the students—they immediately knew it was going to be super difficult to beat him.
"The second gold rank..."
Thomas took another gold watch and looked around the lecture hall until he found whom he was looking for.
"Angel Monroe!"
A tall and graceful young woman stood up—she had long silver hair and legs that just kept going—she was ridiculously gorgeous.
As she walked down the stairs, she looked like she was gliding effortlessly across the room, and her long silver hair—that was tied into a ponytail—kept swinging behind her like a pendulum.
This time around, the boys were love-stuck. The girls were filled with envy. It was like she was really an angel.
Angel walked next to Nathaniel—they looked like a perfect couple when standing next to each other—and that was what everyone else thought too.
"Angel Monroe, despite her young age, has already been recruited to Crimson Clowns, the guild whose leader is someone that you all know very well...
"Xuan Guo!"
Thomas shouted.
When they heard that name, the student’s eyes shook, as that name was famous everywhere in the world.
One would have to be living under a rock to not know who he was.
Xuan Guo and Kang Bael’s fight was still vivid in everyone’s mind—it had been called the greatest match in Innerworld history.
Thomas gave Angel her watch, and she looked at it and strapped it on her watch and then saw a name appear on it.
[Angel Monroe - 0 Points]
"..."
Nathaniel and Angel glanced at each other—there was no friendliness among them—only competitive spirit!
"And the third gold rank..."
Thomas took the last gold watch from the table.
At this point, the students looked really, really serious.
The two Gold Rankers were already some of the best talent in the world—who had even been recognized by the best players in the world.
Not just anybody could join Crimson Clowns—you had to be really, really strong or extremely talented.
Xuan Guo recognized Angel Monroe’s talent, and that really scared all of them!
Thomas immediately looked for the back row—as if he knew who he was looking for—because he had been throwing glances over there during this orientation.
It was because while he was happy to have Nathaniel and Angel part of the Draft—the last Gold Rank he was most excited about!
More excited than having one of the Twelve Rising Stars in the Draft!
"Devon Levi!"
Everyone frowned. Nobody had heard of that name before. They looked around each other, but they didn’t see anybody standing up.
"W-what..."
Joshua’s eyes shook, and he turned his head slowly—as if his head was rusty—and looked at the young man beside him.
"...Sigh."
Devon sighed, as this was something he feared, and then he pushed himself to his feet—that made everyone look at him.
He slowly walked down the stairs—everyone followed him with their gaze—and they thought he didn’t seem all that special.
Compared to Nathaniel and Angel, at least.
"The whole gaming world knows the tale of the Crossheart and the Einherjar—the legendary group that dominated the Lords of the Mythic Legends scene."
Thomas said.
The students had a look of recognition. They looked at Devon with shock. They just repeated, "No way... no way... It can’t be him..."
"Devon was only thirteen years old when he founded Einherjar—the group that ended up becoming legendary because of their exploits.
"While Einherjar members all moved to Innerworld—Crossheart disappeared without a word when the servers of the Lords of the Mythic Legends were shut down for good.
"Everyone thought that he had just retired because of his age, but none of them thought that maybe Crossheart was simply too young to play."
Thomas said with a smile.
Devon stopped next to Angel—everyone still stared at him, even the two other Gold Rankers—because he was even more famous than Nathaniel.
"It’s an honor to have you here."
Thomas said and handed him the gold watch with a bright smile on his face, as he was really excited.
Crossheart was someone he deeply respected!
Devon put the gold watch on and saw his name, and a small number appeared on the watch’s screen.
"These are the Gold Rankers and also the Student Leaders. They will help the teachers if need be and help keep order at the dormitory."
Thomas said.
