Deep underground at the Global Defense Agency headquarters, Cecil Stedman stood with his arms crossed, staring at the large central screen.
The footage from the hidden surveillance drones on Nomanisan Island played in crisp detail.
Todd’s brutal fight against the reactivated Omnidroids played out in full, the raw power, the adaptability, the sheer violence mixed with theatrical flair.
The screen then split, showing multiple angles of the destruction.
“They’re finally gone,” Cecil said as he looked at the remains of the robots.
These Omnidroids were left behind by Syndrome years ago.
But just like all the others, if the GDA tried to dismantle or tamper with them, they were programmed to self-destruct instantly.
All the blueprints, manufacturing files, and research data inside that lab had long since been erased or destroyed.
For years, they simply left the machines there to rust and decay, but earlier this morning, they picked up a signal moving at extreme speed straight toward the island.
Cecil deployed small surveillance drones to track it, and now, this was what they were seeing.
“Donald,” Cecil called out.
Donald stepped forward and adjusted his glasses.
“His speed has increased since the Flaxan battle, from Mach 1.53 to a sustained Mach 2.0. Estimated strength output is now between 800 to 1,000 tons. Heat vision temperature reached 4,800 to 5,000°C… significantly hotter than Gazerbeam’s maximum output of 1,200–1,800°C.”
He finally looked up, his expression grave.
“He’s a monster, sir. And based on these readings… this isn’t even his limit. It looks like he is actively growing stronger, as if he only needs to push himself to unlock even more power.”
Hearing that, Cecil’s resolve hardened.
He made his decision.
“Patch me through, Donald. I need to see him face to face.”
“But sir—” Donald started to protest.
“Do it, Donald,” Cecil ordered firmly. Visit g.com for the full chapter.
Donald sighed.
“Understood.”

Back on Nomanisan Island, Todd sat atop the wreckage of a destroyed Omnidroid, breathing steadily as his body slowly healed.
His clothes was in ruins, blood still streaked across his skin, but the pain was already fading.
He held a crushed micro-drone in his hand, turning it over thoughtfully.
Suddenly, a middle-aged man in a suit appeared.
Serious, sharp-eyed, and unflinching.
Todd’s eyes instantly glowed bright red as he turned, ready to fire.
But he held back when he saw it was a human.
“Who the hell are you?” Todd demanded.
The man gave a small nod.
“My name is Cecil Stedman. I’m the Director of the Global Defense Agency. I wanted to personally thank you for what you did downtown yesterday. You saved a lot of lives… and turned the tide against the Flaxan invasion.”
Todd slowly stood up, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.
“And how exactly did you know I was here?”
Cecil’s expression didn’t change.
“Someone flying at Mach 2 tends to get noticed by our satellites. We had eyes on the island already because of the remaining Omnidroids. Consider it… professional curiosity.”
“So you sent these little toys to watch me fight.”
“I wanted to see your capabilities,” Cecil admitted.
“And I wasn’t disappointed.”
Cecil paused, then continued, “Which brings me to why I’m contacting you. I’d like you to join the new Guardians of the Globe. Just like your father, Gamma Jack, did years ago. We need someone with your power and… presence.”
Todd smile, he stood tall despite his ruined clothes and bruises.
“Appreciate the offer, Director. But I’m going to have to decline.”
Cecil raised an eyebrow.
“May I ask why?”
“I like being in control of my own time,” Todd said simply.
“I don’t want to be tied down with schedules, politics, or bureaucracy. Too many burdens.” He shrugged.
“That said… I’m not against helping when it’s needed. You can call me if things get bad. I’ll show up.”
Before Cecil could respond, a voice crackled through his earpiece.
“Sir,” Donald’s urgent voice came through.
“Sorry to interrupt, but… the Flaxans are back. Downtown again. Bigger force this time.”
Cecil pinched the bridge of his nose, then looked at Todd’s projection.
“You said you’d help if needed, right? Well, we need help. The aliens have returned. Downtown is under heavy assault.”
Todd’s grin widened, eyes gleaming with excitement.
He cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders.
“Perfect timing.”
Without another word, Todd launched upward through the hangar ceiling in a burst of speed, shattering rock and debris as he rocketed toward the mainland at full power.
