” Coming.” Kevin got up from his sofa and went to see who was at the door.
He was surprised to see that his androids had returned from their task.
” Greetings, Sir.” Both B bots said.
” Oh, you’re finally back.” Kevin said, stepping aside and letting them in.
He later sat down on the couch with both sitting on the chairs to his right and left respectively.
” I take it you’re first job was a success?”
” Indeed Sir, we did as you asked and were able to purchase all 20 companies with the funds you assigned us, and since all 20 corporations were sole proprietorships, there was no need securing control by buying shares.” B1 said.
” We also did as you asked and kept all the original workers for the time being.
But whenever you see fit to have them replaced with new bots, we’ll see to it that your order is completed.” B2 said.
Their gestures and body movements looked so natural that it would be quite hard for one to notice that they weren’t human, even their facial expressions looked genuine.
” Nice, Nice, that’s what I like to hear.”
” Codex, What’s the current balance of the account I had you manage.” Kevin turned towards

‘ That much money vanished just like that?’ Kevin was surprised but on thinking about it, he became even more surprised he hadn’t spent more money instead.

” Looks like I don’t have to do anything anymore huh.” Kevin chuckled helplessly.

” Thinking ahead, you really are daddy’s little girl.” Kevin laughed a bit.
The droids glow lit up again, showing she was happy with his praise.
[Once everything’s fully operational, We can then focus on development.

With nothing else to do.
Kevin simply relaxed in the living room.
The moment the new shipment of tech arrived.
Codex and the B bots got to work.
While Kevin remained in the living room, keeping himself entertained.
Once night arrived, he got up and knew it was time to rest.
[I’ve already ordered food father, I didn’t exactly know which was your favourite so I ended up getting one I heard was populary common for people your age.] The droid next to him said.

[And there it is.] She said, sounding excited.
Kevin had a light smile on his face as he went to check the door.
” Delivery for a Codex.” Kevin opened the door and saw a pizza delivery guy.
” That would be me.” Kevin took the food and payed before heading inside.
He placed it on the dinning table before seating down and opening the box, letting out the fragrant aroma and hot air.
[How does it taste?]
[Is it to your liking, Father?] The droid flew around him while asking.
” Yes it is.” Kevin chuckled.
” I like it, thanks for getting it for me.”
[You’re welcome Dad.] Codex said, her glow bright.
Kevin finished entire meal before washing up and heading for bed.
As he layed stop the bed, staring at the ceiling, he couldn’t help recalling the dinner they just had.
Even when she couldn’t eat with him, she seemed very much excited just to watch him eat.
‘ Maybe I could upgrade her again, this time give her a body like the androids but one more advanced and capable just like a humans.’ he knew it wouldn’t be impossible for him, after all, he had the watch.
Just thinking about how he’d finally get to see her happy face had him feeling tingly inside.
And so, he closed his eyes and went to bed, unable to wait for what wonders laid ahead.

The next morning.
Feeling groggy, he did his morning routine before heading downstairs.
[Morning, Dad]
A droid flew over to him the moment he stepped off the stairs.
” Morning, Codex.” Kevin said before walking into the kitchen and making himself a cup of coffee.
” So how’s the construction going.” Kevin asked after taking a long sip of coffee.
[I’m happy to announce that the construction’s been completed.]
” Really?” Kevin raised a brow, surprised.
[Yes, I’ve finished building your lab Dad.]
[I knew you didn’t want something too chaotic, so I was able to contain the designs within acceptable parameters.]
[The lab was also designed to be untraceable using heat signatures and several other spyware]
[Do you want to go down and see for yourself?] She said, sounding eager, like a little kid who couldn’t wait to show her parent something she’d accomplished.
” Sure, why–” Kevin was about to agree when he heard a knock on the door.
” Are you expecting anyone?” Kevin turned to the droid.
[I was about to ask you the same thing.] Codex said.
‘ Maybe it’s that girl from yesterday?’ Kevin couldn’t help but wonder.
He walked to the front door before grabbing the handle.
[Wait!
Dad, don’t!] Codex said at the last minute.
” What’s the problem?” Kevin turned towards her and asked.
[I think there’s something you need to see first.] Codex said.
The next moment, the droid projected a holographic image of the front of their home, only unlike what one would expect.
Several outlines of suited individuals with weaponry could be seen.
‘ Are those who I think they are?’ Kevin froze for a moment.
‘ What the hell is the GDA doing on my doorstep.’
