-Roy Raynolds-
One good kick to the groin was enough to put the furry menace on the ground. It growled, hissing in pain. Its teeth bared and claws trying to treat my leg like fresh deli ham.
‘’You’re one ugly motherfucker. Anybody ever told you that?’’ I asked the Kobold, pressing my foot on its back. Its legs were broken, and since it was pushed against the ground stomach-first, it couldn’t use its claws for shit unless it literally broke its arms to reach me. ‘’Like… Seriously ugly. I’m talking ‘did your mother birth you or shit you out’ levels of ugly, you know?’’
The monster, of course, didn’t know, because its brain was probably the size of a roasted peanut.
But insulting ugly-ass fuckers wasn’t why I was down in the dungeon today.
Trying my Skill on it once more, the Kobold grunted and thrashed. Yet, only a few seconds were enough to tell me I was not able to tame this one either.
Like the previous hundred or so monsters I had killed over the course of the week.
‘Seriously, how hard is it to get a female Kobold? I just want to see if they turn from these ugly shits to a dog-girl or something.’ I huffed, lifting my foot off its back and then stomping on the Kobold’s head, making its skull crack and turn to motes of black dust. ‘’Bite the curb, but there’s no actual curb, ugly-ass furbie-looking fucker.’’
‘’Um, Roy?’’ A meek voice asked as she stepped off one of the Dungeon’s tunnels. Her red eyes lingered on the dissolving monster as a shadow ripped a tiny, purple stone out of it. ‘’What are you trying to achieve?’’
I stared up, a sigh already past my lips as I stepped forward and patted Bell’s ears. The girl immediately went beet-red, but it seemed she was already getting used to my weird shenanigans, because she didn’t start stammering incomprehensible shit, and merely accepted her fate.
Pet the Bunny.
‘’I’m trying to see if tamed Kobolds become Dog or Wolf Humes,’’ I replied, patting my belt and taking out a pointy throwing knife before kicking the Dungeon’s walls with an annoyed frown. ‘’But this thing refuses to give me a female one! This isn’t a fucking shiny-hunt, you know? The odds are just bullshit!’’
Bell, the adorable ray of sunshine that she was, looked utterly confused. ‘’…Female? I… why a female one specifically? Does… the gender of the Monster matter?’’
‘’It does.’’ I nodded seriously and proceeded to pat Bell’s left shoulder twice. ‘’And they give mad head—Anyway. Let’s keep going. We ain’t meeting our quota for shit otherwise.’’
‘’What?’’ Bell asked, befuddled as I started walking away. ‘’W-wait! What’s… ‘head?’ Why would a monster give you its head? Roy!’’
‘’I’ll tell you when you’re older!’’ I waved, turning a left into the barely-lit, cavernous floor. ‘Or until Hestia decides to actually make a move, because Jesus Christ—Actually, should I be praying to her instead since she’s my Goddess and all? Can she even hear prayers?’
With the philosophical thought behind me, Midna’s chuckles echoing in the Dungeon’s second floor—the lazy bitch decided she would travel through my shadow today—and an utterly confused bunny following around, we made our way through the floor.
The past few days had been an absolute profit. Sure, we still had to live in Hestia’s basement, but the money was rolling in. Rose was actually quite surprised, as we apparently made a bit more than a rookie party of five Low-Class Adventurers.
Probably because they didn’t know the ball-kicking method.
Even the Kobolds fell for it. One kick to the groin, and a stomp to the head was a bit more than an insta-kill, but fuck me if I’m supposed to have some sort of epic battle against some rejected pizzeria simulator character.
In any case, shit was cash. Bell and I got ourselves some utility belts, which I immediately declared my profound love for, and while there was no armor in sight, I don’t think we’ll need some for a while.
After an hour of this, and considering we entered the Dungeon around midday because I ‘’slept in’’, we were running out of monsters.
‘’We should go a floor lower,’’ I commented and clicked my fingers. The next second, Midna let a pouch with magic stones appear from my shadow and into my hand. ‘’We have… ten Goblins and five Kobolds.’’
‘’That’s like, what? Our worst day yet?’’ Midna asked, materializing on my shoulder and using her hair to hold onto my back because she fell once, and I haven’t let her live through it yet. ‘’Really shouldn’t have slept in, Hoomie~’’
‘’Bitch, you knocked me out with a pan!’’ I defended, wanting to, but unable to grab the double-colored goblin by the scruff of the neck.
‘’Tomato, Tamato.’’ Midna shrugged.
‘’That’s not even the right way to use that phrase, dimwit.’’ I scoffed.
‘’Um… Should we really?’’ Bell interjected, a bead of sweat dropping down her face as her eyes looked between us and our bickering. ‘’Eina said that new adventurers should stay on the first floor for at least a week, and we have already come down to the second one…’’
‘’That login-reward elf knows jack, Bell.’’ I shook my head, offering a reassuring grin. ‘’She didn’t even threaten to put you through the wall for being a dumbass. What kind of stressed, overworked, nine-to-five-having Advisor is that?’’
‘’A good one…?’’ Bell tried, not with much effort, mind you.
‘’A lame one, maybe~’’ Midna chuckled.
‘’H-hey! Miss Eina does her best.’’ Bell frowned, ears drooping flat to her skull. ‘’You can’t just call her that!’’
‘’’’Lame, lame, lame, lame…!’’’’ Midna and I chanted with shit-eating grins.
‘’Uhhhh…’’ And the bullied bunny was unable to do anything more than pout.
‘’Speaking seriously, though.’’ I sighed, looking around us, not a monster in sight for at least fifteen minutes. ‘’We aren’t getting much done here. I say we either call it quits or go down one more floor.’’
Casually enough, the moment we crossed the next turn, we saw it.
Like an ugly maw opening on the ground, the staircase to the third floor revealed itself. I couldn’t be bothered to map out the entire floor, so directly stumbling into it was very lucky.
The three of us stared down at the staircase. Scratching the back of my head, I turned to Bell, whose face was contorted into a cautious frown. ‘’Hey, so… We could joke around all we want, but you’re still technically the Familia’s Captain—‘’
‘’By like, three days.’’ Midna pointed out.
‘’—Which means… Whatever you say, goes.’’ I finished with a huff. ‘’So, what’s it going to be, bun-bun?’’
‘’Yeah, leader.’’ Midna’s grin threatened to spill out of her face, and her tone become unbearable smug. ‘’We’ll follow your lead and watch your back~’’
‘’I…’’ Bell’s ears perked up, and her face went red yet again. Her equally red eyes could not hold Midna’s gaze, and instead turned back to the third floor’s entrance with shame. ‘’A-ah, yep! Let’s go. We all know about Dungeon Lizards, right? Just look above at every corner, and w-we are good, hahaha…’’
My eyes furrowed in suspicion as I turned from the descending bun-bun to Midna, who only offered an impish smile before following close after our Captain.
‘Alright… Something is up.’ I guessed, being the third one going down the staircase. ‘And I’ll do the logical thing and stay the fuck out of it unless it’s life or death.’
Exploring the third floor won’t even be that bad. If I remembered correctly, those freaky metal ants and edgy living shadows didn’t appear until floor six or so.
So, what’s the worst that could happen— ‘’Ah fuck!’’
Bell turned around, as did Midna, while I slammed my forehead against the third-floor walls with a groan.
‘…I fucking jinxed it, didn’t I?’

-Tiona Hiryute-
A bronze-skinned girl with medium-length, messy black hair stepped onto the Fifteenth Floor. A groan of disappointment escaped past her lips as her arms rested behind her back.
She was dressed in revealing clothes, with a light-brown pareo around her waist and another piece of looser fabric that made it cling to her body. Her entire torso was exposed, save for a white tube top she had around her completely average chest, which some people barely considered ‘clothing’.
This person was none other than an Amazon named Tiona Hyryute, member of the Loki Familia, and level Five adventurer, designated by the Gods themselves as Crusher.
And she was currently nagging her twin sister, an equally beautiful Amazoness with longer hair, who had the same shade of green in her eyes and…
Tiona would call it ‘useless fat’ around the chest, because that’s all that it was!
The massive group that was the main Expedition force of the Loki Familia were doing their way back to the surface after a… not-so-successful expedition, and the reason for Tiona’s current sour mood was the loss of her beloved weapon.
…Again.
‘’Tioneee…’’ The girl complained, causing her twin sister to sigh and face her with a deadpan. ‘’My Urga broke…’’
‘’Yes, Tiona, I know. You only said it around a hundred times.’’ Her sister replied in a flat tone, rolling her eyes. ‘’You should be more careful with that thing. At least it can be repaired, but it’s not cheap, you know?’’
Tiona merely huffed, raising an eyebrow at her sister. ‘’Let me guess, because it would cost Finn money?’’
‘’Of course!’’ She replied, tone shifting as her eyes sparkled. The previous uninterest in her sister’s plight did a complete one-eighty when it came to Loki’s Familia Captain: Finn Deimne. ‘’But not only that! Yes, we bring the materials, but replacing every piece of equipment after every expedition takes too much time, you know?!’’
With a weary, tired sigh, Tiona turned away from her sister as she started going on and on about things like ‘responsibility’ and whatnot.
She would have paid attention if this wasn’t the hundredth time it happened.
Instead, she focused on another person. A blonde covered in torn plate armor and a skintight white suit. Ais Wallenstain, considered by many the Princess of the Sword, as was her title, or an ‘unexpressive doll’ by the most undesirable.
To Tiona, however, she was a friend! And if her sister was going to keep nagging her (instead of the other way around), she would prefer to speak with the girl.
‘’Hey, Ais, Ais.’’ Tiona grabbed the silent girl’s attention. ‘’What are you doing once we get back, hm, hm?’’
The blonde turned to face her. Her unexpressive, golden eyes lit up in recognition for but a moment. Ais only answered a few steps later as the group stepped around the floor’s massive holes in the ground.
‘’I don’t know.’’ She said in a flat tone that sounded almost like a whisper. ‘’…Training?’’
Tiona blanched, leaning forward with a pout. ‘’You train every day already! I meant something fun!’’
‘’…Training is fun.’’ The sheer honesty in Ais’s tone almost made her facepalm. ‘’We are eating out today, aren’t we?’’
‘’I mean, yeah. We always do after big explorations.’’ She shrugged. ‘’But I mean before that.’’
‘’Complicated…’’
‘’Say, why don’t you come with me?’’ Tiona tried, because an outing with a friend was much more fun than just going alone. ‘’I was going to hit the bookstore, see if there’s anything new since we dropped down here. Aaaand, we could drop by that Jagamarukun place you like~’’
That, finally, brought a reaction out of her friend. Her golden eyes lit up, and a short nod was given in affirmation.
It was always the same with Ais. The mention of those potato-made delicacies could make the girl run around Orario several times over for the right amount!
‘Beats being scolded by Tione, though~’ Tiona cheered mentally. ‘Man, I hope there’s something new, not like re-reading is bad, but it can only entertain me for so long!’
‘’GROOOOOOOO!’’
Tiona paused as the sound of the frontliners reached her ears.
Usually, after the Familia hits the middle floors, they let the lower-leveled members have a go at the monsters, and if something goes wrong, then the Executives can take care of it.
But… weren’t the monsters being awfully noisy this time around? Also, there were a lot of Minotaurs—
Rumble…
The entire floor started to shake.
‘’Front line, fall back! Second guard, push forward! Something is happening!’’ She could already hear Finn barking orders, but even as more capable members replaced the current front guard, there was no anticipating what was going to happen. ‘’The walls are cracking open, but… the monsters are escaping!’’
A group of around a dozen Minotaurs took advantage of the momentary distraction and… fled! The cowardly, overfed bulls turned tail at the presence of Loki Familia Executives!
‘That can’t be good…’
‘’They are trying to escape to the upper floors!’’ Finn realized amidst the rumbling. ‘’Tiona, Ais, follow after them!’’
‘’On it.’’ Ais reacted immediately, her entire body swirling with a wind-like green energy as she dashed forward.
‘’Aye, aye, captain~!’’ Tiona cheered, taking one step forward. The ground broke underneath her bare feet as she pushed through the disorientation to follow after the blonde girl. ‘Haa… At least I get to stretch my legs a bit!’
Though as the Minotaurs disappeared through the cracks in the walls, Tiona had already caught up with one. Her cocked-back fist pierced clean through flesh and muscle, shattering the fist-sized magic stone within the creature.
‘’One down!’’ She happily skipped forward, unbothered by the blood and gore she left behind. It would turn to dust eventually! ‘’Come back here, you cowardly bulls!’’
As the Amazon quickly ran up from the fifteenth floor to the fourteenth one, she really hoped there were no Rookies in the Upper Floors at this hour.

-Bell Cranel-
The Dungeon Lizards weren’t a challenge. Apparently, Midna had really good vision in the dark, making spotting the brown creatures covered in scales an easy task.
So, since the third floor was… not that difficult, Bell, Roy, and Midna decided that descending to the fourth floor was plausible, even if, in her opinion, it was already pushing the fragile boundary of ‘safe’.
But the Goblins and Kobolds they found were only marginally stronger than the ones in the second. Her set of dual daggers, provided by the Guild, cut through the creatures easily enough once her hesitation was gone.
In fact, since Roy kept experimenting with his Monster Taming Skill, and Midna wasn’t much of a fighter, Bell was the one with the highest kill count in today’s exploration. Everything was going along swimmingly!
Then… why?
Why was this happening?
‘’GRUOOOOOOOOOO!’’
Bell knew she shouldn’t have caved in. Her embarrassment was not equal to her life, but something like this…?
‘’Who the fuck asked for the bleu beef?!’’ CRASH! ‘’SON OF A BITCH!’’
The man was lagging behind her with every stride. Bell knew that because, after their last update yesterday, she had around twenty more points in Agility than the man.
However, no matter how fast she was or how many times Midna helped around with her shadows, the truth was inevitable.
She couldn’t outrun that.
So that begged the question…
‘’WHY IS THERE A MINOTAUR ON THE UPPER FLOORS?!’’ Bell shouted, scared out of her mind as her legs worked overtime. ‘’HIEEE!’’
The massive, muscular bull followed close behind them. Its red eyes filled with hate as it chased them down yet another turn, as if they were prey.
‘’In which floor is that bastard supposed to appear?!’’ The brown-haired man close behind Bell asked. ‘’And if you tell me ‘around here’ then I’d like to complain to the owner for fucking game balance!’’
‘’Minotaurs appear on floor fifteen!’’ Bell shouted back. ‘’It’s not supposed to—!’
Crack!
‘’GRUOOOO!’’ The minotaur, in its furious chase, tore down parts of the Dungeon’s walls, and it then used those same parts as projectiles.
Bell had been clipped by one at the start, when they saw that beast, while turning around a corner. She had blood dripping down her left ear to prove it!
It certainly didn’t help that, with the fourth floor being somewhat new to them, they didn’t know which turn to take to reach the third.
The roof directly in front of the running group cracked. A Dungeon Lizard’s head poked out of the newly created hole. If left as is, the monster would ambush them while the Minotaur gave chase.
‘’Midna!’’ Roy didn’t remain idle, shouting the name of his Pallum companion.
‘’I’m on it, I’m on it!’’ The small hint of panic in the girl’s tone as she clung to Roy’s back like a lifeline was not something Bell was used to seeing. ‘’Eat this, you overfed cow!’’
The Pallum’s orange hair shifted, turning into a long mane that in turn became a massive, open hand. With the use of one of her Skills, the Dungeon Lizard switched places with a piece of stone she picked from the floor, and the monster was swiftly thrown the Minotaur’s way, who may have taken the masked Pallum’s words too literally, in Bell’s opinion.
‘’Grraa—‘’ Crunch.
Because the flying projectile that was the lizard landed directly in the Minotaur’s open maw. Blood and gore exploded in its mouth, and it didn’t slow down a single bit.
‘’Animal Planet lied to me!’’ Roy shouted in a panic. ‘’That shit does not eat hay!’’
Bell didn’t have time to understand the man’s nonsensical words, because the moment they turned to the left, a massive cavern opened up. Thank the Gods, it was not one of the fearsome ‘Pantries’ that Eina had mentioned to her.
That’s where their luck ended, however, because as they reached the middle of the room, short of breath and a murderous Monster on their tail, Bell noticed a crucial detail.
‘’There’s no exit!’’ She shouted, turning back to the tunnel they had just come out of, twin daggers painfully clutched in her hands. ‘’Roy, what do we do?!’’
‘’Why are you asking me?!’’ The man answered in a panic as he unclipped a few throwing knives from his belt.
‘’GROOOOOOOOOU!’’
It was too late.
Deep, unfettered terror settled deep inside Bell’s gut as she finally got a proper look at the creature of nightmares chasing them down.
Brown fur over pure, raw muscle. Thick, furry legs that ended in hooves and were at least as big as her torso, and two massive, bulging arms that were not far behind.
Lastly, she had to strain her neck upward to gaze directly into those red, violent eyes. Two black horns pointed directly at them as the bull-like monster huffed, releasing a puff of steam from its snout.
And then its massive arms slammed against the ground, horns capable of easily tearing through steel, pointing forward.
Bell felt short of breath, completely exhausted, and terrified down to the bone.
Because the Minotaur was going to charge.
-X-x-X-
-Roy Raynolds-
‘THERE’S NO FUCKING WAY I’M GETTING KILLED BY SOME SECOND-HAND BEEF JERKY!’
That’s what I thought, but even when facing the huffing bull with a smile, I couldn’t help but notice a drop of sweat rolling down the back of my head.
‘’Midna, now it would be a great time to reveal some sort of super form that could save us all,’’ I commented with a dry chuckle, as the bull’s muscles tensed and bulged. ‘’Like, a bit cliché, and I would make fun of you for it, but reeeeal freaking useful.’’
‘’It would be, wouldn’t it?’’ Midna shared my tense laughter. ‘’…Imma be real with you, hoomie. It’s giving desperate vibes.’’
‘’I’m going to be giving dead and mangled vibes soon, you twat—‘’
BOOM!
The ground literally exploded, debris and dust flying everywhere as the Minotaur charged forward. Its speed, while not as impressive as its strength, was more than enough to kill me seven times over before I could pull myself out of the way.
It was good that I didn’t have to.
The knives I pulled from my belt soared through the air as the massive wall of rage and muscle closed the distance. The dungeon’s dim glow glimmered against the monster’s left horn as it came inches off tearing my face and ragdolling me like a bitch.
And a second later, the three of us were against the wall. Midna released a small hiss as she had been forced to Warp three people at once.
The Minotaur didn’t turn us into mist with its charge. Instead, it slammed against the wall, making the entire room shake as a giant crack opened from the place its head had rammed into, all the way to the damn roof.
‘’Here’s hoping there’s no such thing as cave-ins in the magic cave.’’ I joked without mirth. Beside me, Bell’s pupils had dilated, and her entire face was pale as a sheet. ‘’Don’t go having a heart attack on me, Bell—And don’t you dare fucking ‘freeze in fear’, that trope is absolute bullshit!’’
‘’Grrr… GROUUUU!’’ Fortunately, the overfed cow was stuck, so it gave us some time to think.
‘’W-we should run!’’ Bell proposed, and while I might be all for the idea…
Crk—Crack!
‘’We can’t.’’ I shook my head, annoyance bleeding through my tone. ‘’It’s almost out, and it’s going to keep chasing us, bun-bun. Can you run all the way to the surface?’’
Bell blanched, quickly shaking her head, while Midna clutched my shoulders tight. Her lack of a quippy response shows just how fucked we really are.
‘’Then what do we do?’’ Bell asked helplessly.
Which made me immediately slap her across the head. With an indignant squeak, the despairing Bunny Hume turned to me, ears droopy.
‘’Don’t stare at me with them big ol’ eyes.’’ I scoffed, shifting my weight around my feet, as if that would bring some sense of comfort. ‘’There’s only one thing we can do if we really want to escape.’’
CRACK!
Just in time, the Minotaur became free, turning around to face us with an ugly, furious scowl set in its snout. So ugly in fact that it made the Kobolds look like cute doggies.
‘’We have to break its fucking kneecaps!’’ I shouted, while unsheathing two more throwing knives. ‘’Bitch can’t chase us if it's looking like a grandpa that fell down the stairs! So let’s get a slice out of this raw steak, Bell, Midna!’’
‘’All the shit you had to say, Hoomie.’’ Midna cackled, though the sound was strained as the goblin started pushing her Mind around. A bunch of shadows covered parts of my torso like a wild and torn coat. ‘’…Not gonna lie. It looked cooler in my mind.’’
Bell was much more hesitant, but as the bull howled with enough force to make my ears ring, the bunny girl gritted her teeth, fear being replaced by feeble determination.
‘’A-alright…!’’ She decided, body going lower and into position as her two daggers glinted under the cavern’s light. ‘’Let’s do it… Let’s go on an Adventure!’’
‘’Yeah, whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean!’’ I cheered and dashed forward. ‘Just ace a damn no-hit fight, unless I have the sudden urge to become a pancake!’
The Minotaur’s left hoof scraped against the ground, and it wasn’t long before the absolute peak of the cow specimen was throwing itself at us, all brute strength and zero rational thought.
This time, I managed to get out of the way, but by virtue of not charging like a roided-out football player, the Minotaur could divert its course, forcing me to duck under its fist. A strike that would have taken my head off cracked the Dungeon walls instead.
‘’AH! It nicked me! The son of a bitch nicked me, Hoomie!’’ Midna complained from her place in my back.
‘’GROOOOOOOU!’’ Pulling itself off the wall, the minotaur raised its fist high.
‘’Fucking—Switch us up!’’ A second later, marked by an echoing crack of meat against stone, I was standing behind the Minotaur, thanks to Midna switching me up for one of the discarded knives. ‘’Bun-bun!’’
‘’Haaaa!’’ The white-haired girl charged behind the Minotaur, her daggers lashing out against hard, thick fur and skin. A grimace took over her features as not even a single mark appeared on the furry appendages. ‘’I-It’s no use! They aren’t sharp enough!’’
Another Warp, and Bell was standing at my side just as the Minotaur intended to backhand her. The beast growled, clearly frustrated.
‘’Alright, let’s switch it up, give me them stabby things!’’ I called out. In a second, Bell and I switched weapons, and the bunny was on the run.
And by that, I meant she ran directly at the Minotaur.
The beast howled and pushed forward, meaty fists ready to turn Bell into a bunny-flavored pulp, but right before it could, Midna Warped the girl once more.
She didn’t try to attack, as that would be useless. Instead, she dropped the throwing knives I’d given her around the cavern. With every switch-up, Bell tapped her hands against the Minotaur’s body, as if to provoke it further. Her previous fear dissapeared thanks to the rush of adrenaline that you could only get when death was breathing down on your neck.
Or if you were fifty thousand in debt and betting on black, that also fit.
In any case, as the bull howled once more, and Bell was forced back, I took my chance.
‘’Midna!’’ I shouted.
‘’I hear, I hear… Uhhh… I’m getting dizzy…’’ Well wasn’t that fucking terrifying.
The next moment, I was at the Minotaurs' side. The twin daggers in my hands were covered by the same wispy and shadowy liquid that coated my body, courtesy of the Black Goblin on my back.
‘’WAIT! NO!’’ An unknown voice filled the cavern, as did the sound of hurried footsteps.
But I couldn’t stop my momentum. The Minotaur was already turning my way, and the daggers were already descending into the flesh of its right leg, completely intent on maiming the limb.
‘This is it…!’ I realized, stabbing downwards. ‘Put your back in it and aim for the damn kneecaps!’
For a second, it seemed like the daggers would sink into the flesh, rendering muscle and sinew apart with ease.
Crack!
The next second, reality hit me with a check I did not want to cash out on.
After sinking no more than half an inch into the monster’s hide, the daggers broke apart. I couldn’t even see a drop of blood coming out of the Minotaur’s leg, and as it fully turned to me, I heard a pained groan, followed by retching coming from my back.
Meaning Midna was down for the count.
‘’ROY, MIDNA!’’ I heard Bell shout desperately, to the point her throat was bound to be sore tomorrow.
What could have been nothing less than a thousand or so pounds of muscle stared me down, and for a second, I thought the fucking cow was smiling.
It was then that I noticed who the other voice belonged to, as if the world were moving in slow motion.
Right behind the towering beast, a bronze-skinned girl, wearing really revealing clothes, with wild, black locks and wide, dark-green eyes, was running straight in our direction, her fist cocked back, and by the trajectory, she intended to punch the Minotaur with her bare fists.
‘Fucking badass.’ I thought for a moment. ‘Too bad.’
Because the Minotaur would turn me into pulp faster than she would reach.
So, with the last bit of time I had, I focused on my bond with the goblin in my back. My head immediately felt like it would split open as a ringing took over my ears, but as it happened, so did a certain glow manifest on the ground; one of the discarded knives.
Without thinking much, I ‘’grabbed’’ Midna and one of the stabbing tools.
And Warped.
Something hot ran down my nose, and I tasted copper in my mouth, but the swap was made.
‘Damn, am I fucking cool or am I fucking cool?’ It gave me just enough time to see the Minotaur’s left arm suddenly be inches off my fragile, meat-and-bone body. ‘’Oh.’’
SMACK! CRUNCH!
The following shouting felt muffled as I heard something break inside me, or more like multiple somethings. It didn’t help that my head was throbbing, and my back was now embedded into the wall after the Minotaur backhanded me like a hoe who was trying to hide money from her pimp.
My vision was blurry, but I could see the piece of meat’s last moments as the bronze-skinned girl obliterated its chest with a single punch, letting a purple, fist-sized magic stone fall on the ground.
‘’Roy… Roy…!’’ A head of white hair and crying, red eyes were immediately at my side, but I could barely understand her words, as if I was underwater. ‘’Don’t… close… don’t…!’’
I could only groan and then cough a mouthful of blood as my broken arm palmed the place where Midna’s shadows were covering my body. All vital areas, I noticed, that didn’t get turned into mush.
‘’Ugh…’’ I rasped out, noticing Midna and the flat-chested girl approach in a hurry. ‘’…That’s it… I’m eating twice as much—cough!—red meat… Just for that… piece of… beef jerky…!’’
With a pair of arms embracing me tightly, I blacked out.

Author's Note:
HERE COMES THE MINOTAUR... WITH THE METAL CHAIR!
Damn, our favorite crackhead just took his first L, and the ''aim for the kneecaps'' tactic doesn't seem to work all that well when the thing has hide tough enough to repel sharp objects. You should have aimed for the nuts Roy, smh.
One thing that Roy's Monster Control and the Monster Taming Skill have in common is that you need to subdue the monster you're trying to ''take''. So, whoever guessed ''Minotaur'' will be the next waifu, I will have to be as cold as that Minos-pretender back-handed slap and say no.
You may have noticed that it was Tiona who saved Bell (and co) this time around. All I have to say is Amazon woman hot.
LASTLY! I remember someone asking me what other things could Roy do. And, as shown in this chapter, one of those things is using the abilities of the Monsters he tames!
...In a much lower degree and quality, as shown by Roy getting a nosebleed when ''Warping'' just a single time.
Also, fun challenge: re-read the chapter and take a shot whenever Roy says ''Fuck'' or ''Fucking''. I genuinely didn't notice at the time just how many times the words were repeated, kekw.
