“Thanks a lot.” “You’re welcome.” About an hour after they started, Isagi was already completely immersed in the work.

He entered that state of absolute focus, shutting out the rest of the world, which ended up speeding up the process considerably.

Before he realized it, they had already finished everything ahead of schedule.Full novel: Is Something Wrong with This Isagi Yoichi?[Blue Lock] — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But as soon as they stepped out of the supply room, they were intercepted by a tall, broad-built student approaching down the hallway.

“Oh, you’re already done?” “Ah, President.

Yes, we managed to finish earlier than expected, thanks to Isagi’s help,” Yuki replied promptly.

“Impressive.” The young man turned his gaze to Isagi, studying him with interest.

“So you’re Isagi Yoichi, right?

I’m the student council president, Touya.

I’ve heard quite a lot about you.” “Yes, it’s a pleasure to meet you.

I’ve also heard about you, Mr.

President…” Isagi gave a slight bow, keeping his gaze steady as he assessed the other.

He didn’t need introductions, as he already knew exactly who he was.

His name was Touya Kenzaki, a second-year student and the charismatic president of the high school student council.

Touya had a striking physical presence—not just because of his height, but his build.

Broad shoulders, a well-defined chest… up close, he seemed even bigger.

He wasn’t exactly the type of handsome that stood out at first glance; in fact, his features gave off a more mature impression, almost old for someone his age.

Combined with his imposing physique, it was hard to believe he was still a high school student.

Even so, there was care in his appearance.

His eyebrows were well-groomed, standing out above the stylish glasses he wore.

However, what truly stood out was his expression: a solid, natural confidence that conveyed both charisma and authority.

It only took a single glance to understand—he was someone people instinctively trusted.

It was no wonder everyone accepted his leadership so naturally.

At first, many boys at school showed some resistance upon hearing that a single student led a group full of beautiful and talented girls.

But seeing him in person erased any doubt.

He had the kind of presence that resembled that of natural-born leaders, almost as if he carried an innate aura worthy of kings.

Or was he exaggerating?

He narrowed his eyes slightly, questioning his own perception.

Ever since he awakened that selfish pleasure—what he had come to call “ego”—something in the way he perceived people had changed.

He could subtly sense the “presence” of others.

It wasn’t clearly supernatural, but it didn’t fit any logical or scientific explanation either.

Before the conversation could continue, a calm voice sounded right behind Touya: “You always arrive first, President.” It was Kaguya Shinomiya.

Her presence immediately drew attention.

Her posture was impeccable, almost aristocratic.

With fair skin and delicate features, she had long black hair, usually tied with a black and red ribbon, with a few strands falling on either side of her face.

Her red, large, almond-shaped eyes had a striking gleam that shifted with her mood, while her thin eyebrows reinforced her naturally elegant expression.

Her body was slender and feminine, with refined proportions, even if her bust was modest.

As a whole, however, that mattered little.

She was, without a doubt, a stunning beauty.

In the past, she used to wear her hair down, without the characteristic red ribbon.

Back then, she was known as the “Ice Princess.” Her eyes seemed more piercing, dark and empty, conveying a cold, distant, almost untouchable aura—a somber beauty that naturally pushed people away.

That reflected her mental state directly, shaped by an extremely strict upbringing that led her to act coldly to avoid getting involved and, consequently, hurting others.

Later, however, everything began to change.

After meeting Isagi during the debate in which they competed for the student council presidency—a confrontation that ended with her defeat—she was invited by him to join the council.

From that point on, as she grew closer to him and the other members, as well as other students, Kaguya decided to change.

She asked her maid, Ai Hayasaka, to help her appear more “cute.” The red ribbon became a symbol of that transformation: a conscious attempt to soften her image and become more approachable.

Over time, that change stopped being merely superficial.

Instead of suppressing herself and keeping her distance, she began building genuine bonds.

She became more open, lighter, and, overall, happier.

This transformation was especially visible in her eyes, which no longer carried that distant emptiness.

Now, they were more alive.

More expressive.

And at that moment, upon noticing Isagi, they softened even more.

She tilted her head slightly.

“Isagi-kun… how long has it been?

Two weeks?

Three?” Isagi blinked, caught off guard.

“Ah… yeah.

Since that meeting in the library, I think.” “You haven’t changed at all….” Kaguya commented with a small smile.

“You still help with everything without complaining.” He scratched the back of his neck, slightly embarrassed.

“Someone has to do the work, right?

And I don’t think anyone would change that much in two weeks…” Behind her, Ai Hayasaka appeared silently, also wearing the school uniform.

She was a strikingly beautiful young woman, with blonde hair tied to the side with a blue band and eyes of the same color.

Unlike Kaguya, her posture was relaxed, almost disinterested at first glance, but her attentive gaze made it clear that nothing escaped her notice.

Although she usually adapted her appearance and clothing depending on the role she needed to play as Kaguya’s maid, at that moment she was dressed simply as a student…..

“Miss….” she murmured in a low tone, “It’s time for us to go.

If you’re late again, things will pile up for tomorrow.” “I know, Hayasaka.” The reply came calm, yet firm.

Kaguya then turned back to Isagi.

“But I think I can be a few minutes late, don’t you?” His heart tightened slightly.

It wasn’t common for her to speak like that, much less in public.

Yuki, who was watching everything with her arms crossed, let out an almost inaudible “tch.” Alya, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow—silent, but clearly bothered.

Sensing that prolonging this wouldn’t be a good idea, and remembering he still had practice, Isagi cleared his throat: “It was good seeing you again, Kaguya.

But I… need to go.

So, if you’ll excuse me…” Touya, who had been observing the scene from the side, broke into a confident smile.

“Hold on.

I’d feel bad letting you leave without thanking you.

You helped a lot today.

I know you have commitments, but how about having dinner with us?” “I appreciate it, but…” Isagi hesitated.

“Why not accept?” Yuki intervened, with a provocative smile that sounded almost like a trap.

“It’s not like you have something very special waiting for you at home, right?

Your parents won’t mind if you get back a bit later.

If anything, just send a message… although I remember you never had to do that.” “Yuki…” “Hmm?

How do you know that?” Touya raised his eyebrows, curious, while Alya remained silent, watching closely.

“Because we’re friends and we’ve gone out together several times…..” Yuki replied firmly.

And what exactly does that explain…?

was the simultaneous thought that crossed Isagi’s, Touya’s, Alya’s, and even Kaguya’s minds.

Still, no one questioned it.

There was something in Yuki’s calm smile that discouraged any direct challenge.

“In that case….” Touya continued, regaining control of the situation, “that’s even more reason for all of us to go together.

Alisa, Yuki, you two as well.

I want to thank you for your efforts today.” “Thank you very much.” “…Right.

Thank you.” “If that’s the case…” Touya widened his smile, as if remembering something important, and turned his gaze to the elegant figure just behind.

“Oh, of course… Shinomiya, you should come as well.

After all, you’re part of the council.

It would be strange not to invite you, don’t you think?” The invitation was made with the typical confidence of someone who didn’t consider refusal a real possibility.

Kaguya lifted her gaze to Touya, but soon shifted it gently to Isagi, who seemed about to refuse out of pure politeness.

A small smile appeared on her lips.

“If Yoichi-kun is going, then… I’ll go as well.” The air around them seemed to grow heavier for a brief moment.

Yuki narrowed her eyes slightly, though she maintained her smile.

Alya, on the other hand, crossed her arms and looked away, but the way her fingers subtly tightened around her own elbow betrayed a discomfort few would notice.

“I see.

Then we’re all agreed,” Touya concluded, satisfied, adjusting his glasses.

Behind Kaguya, Ai Hayasaka let out an almost imperceptible sigh.

To any observer, she was just an ordinary student watching the scene, but internally she evaluated the situation coldly: this was clearly heading toward a problematic scenario, the kind that would inevitably fall on her to resolve later.

Even so, she remained silent.

“Great,” Touya said, lightly clapping his hands as if sealing a decision.

“Let’s go together.

There’s a nearby restaurant that will serve perfectly.” Isagi, however, couldn’t help a thought as he glanced at the darkening sky through the window.

…I just wanted to go home in peace.

But, surrounded by Kaguya, Yuki, Alya, Touya—and with Hayasaka inevitably along—he already knew.

There was no escape.

Sighing internally, he turned casually… and ended up meeting Alya’s cold, enigmatic eyes.

“…What is it?” “Nothing.” “Excuse me?

You know it’s rude to stare at a lady’s face without reason.” “Sorry.” He looked away, acknowledging his mistake.

In his mind, a nearly automatic thought arose—Alya truly lived up to the image of someone cold and straightforward within the council.

And, while he drifted for a moment in those thoughts, she murmured again in Russian, low enough to go unnoticed by anyone else: “Ты будешь ускорять мое сердце, если будешь продолжать так.” (You’ll make my heart race if you keep doing that.) Isagi let out an internal sigh.

That only reinforced what he already suspected—and also one of the main reasons he didn’t want to go to that dinner.

He understood, or at least was beginning to understand, the feelings each of those girls had for him.

It gave him strong romantic comedy vibes.

It was almost ironic—he wanted a harem, yes, but turning his life into a typical romantic comedy full of misunderstandings, constant tension, and silent rivalries… that was another story entirely.

And the worst part was that it didn’t stop there.

Besides those girls, there was still Uzaki, who kept dragging him out, always with that teasing, energetic way of hers, as if her sole mission was to not let him have a single moment of peace.

In the end, he began to realize something unsettling: Having multiple girls interested in him might seem ideal in theory… but in practice, it was a logistical and emotional chaos that required far more effort than he was willing to admit.

Still, he wasn’t complaining—he just wanted to reap the benefits soon….

As he put on his shoes at the school entrance and left together with the group, they crossed paths with members of the soccer club.

The athletes instinctively stepped aside as they passed, some even making discreet obscene gestures toward Isagi, who merely sighed, already used to it.

The gazes, as expected, focused mainly on Alisa, with Yuki following closely behind.

Then, inevitably, they fell on him, carrying a not-so-subtle mix of envy and admiration—the typical expression of someone seeing a friend surrounded by attractive girls.

Even so, what drew the most attention was the presence of Kaguya Shinomiya walking beside them.

Impeccable as always, her serene yet naturally imposing posture attracted a different kind of gaze, less filled with desire and more marked by respect and distance.

Unlike Yuki and Alisa, who exuded charm spontaneously, Kaguya seemed to belong to an entirely different level.

Right behind, in discreet steps, came Ai Hayasaka, wearing the school uniform.

Her expression was neutral, almost disinterested, but her eyes remained attentive to everything around her.

To anyone, she looked like just another student accompanying the group, but Isagi knew very well: she was there fulfilling her role of never leaving her “lady’s” side.

They left the school and followed the street lit by lampposts, walking for about ten minutes.

Along the way, they drew attention like a small procession—pedestrians inevitably turned their heads, mainly because of the girls.

Still, no one in the group seemed to care.

Upon arriving at a cozy restaurant, they were guided to a spacious table, and Touya was the first to sit down naturally.

Isagi tried, discreetly, to let the others choose their seats first, with the clear intention of ending up in some corner far from the president.

But Yuki was quicker.

“Here, Isagi.

Sit.” She smiled innocently, pointing precisely to the chair in front of Touya.

“…You heard the lady, Alya.” Isagi tried to slip away, pushing the responsibility onto Alisa.

“She was clearly talking to you.” The brief standoff dragged on for a few seconds until Touya, unfazed, decided to end it: “Come on, just sit down, Isagi.

The waitress is waiting to take our order.” Glancing to the side, Isagi noticed the young waitress standing there, balancing a tray of water glasses, waiting patiently.

With no alternatives, he gave in and dropped into the chair in front of Touya.

Yuki immediately settled beside him, still smiling.

Alisa, meanwhile, sat next to the president.

Kaguya, with almost calculated naturalness, took the free seat beside Isagi, while Hayasaka remained behind her—as if by coincidence, yet maintaining the posture of someone who would never leave her lady unaccompanied.
