Nearly four days have passed since the battle between Jogo and Satoru.
Over these four days, Hanami returned with plenty of flowers and plants, caring for them meticulously every day, even going out of the domain to fetch clean spring water for them.
Kenjaku maintained his habit of talking to himself, often explaining things to himself without caring about others’ strange looks.
Dagon remained carefree as ever, spending every day floating on the sea, like a drifting takoyaki.
Jogo left the domain once again, arriving at a bustling street.
After confirming there were no Jujutsu Sorcerers around, he felt at ease and started to enjoy himself, walking aimlessly down the street.
The pedestrians brushing past him had no idea that they had just stepped halfway into the gates of hell.
If he wanted to, every human on the street could turn into a blazing torch in an instant, dying in extreme agony.
Jogo, however, didn’t have the inclination for that.
He wasn’t a pervert like Mahito, so why kill indiscriminately when he had nothing better to do?
Wasn’t it better to just go out and have fun?
The plot had now entered a relatively stable period.
There wouldn’t be any major developments in the original story for a short while.
Jogo wasn’t a workaholic, so naturally, he would take advantage of this brief time to rest.
“It’s a bit boring.
If I’m just walking around the street like this, I feel like I’m missing something in my hands.” Just then, he caught sight of a figure out of the corner of his eye, and a smile immediately appeared on his face.
He knew what it was missing in his hands.
A girl wearing a JK uniform, her legs clad in white socks, and her hair reaching her waist, was walking on the street.
She had headphones on, looking at her phone while walking forward, humming an unknown tune.
Jogo sized up the girl, his eye narrowing slightly as he extended his wicked hands toward her.
The next moment, Ichinose Shizuka suddenly looked terrified, finding that she couldn’t move, as if some invisible force had bound her to the spot.
The crowd around her was bustling and lively, but this noisy environment couldn’t bring her any warmth.
Instead, it made her feel as if she had fallen into an ice cellar.
She tried her best to move even a single finger, but couldn’t even speak, only her eyes could move.
What’s going on?
Why can’t I move all of a sudden?
Could I have been cursed?
Is this some supernatural event?
For a moment, her mind raced, imagining various ghosts reaching out their hands to claim her life, her face turning deathly pale.
In this atmosphere of fear and despair, she could only watch helplessly as her headphones and phone floated into the air and drifted away.
The phone that had flown away suddenly “whooshed” back, floating in front of Ichinose Shizuka, and automatically activated facial recognition.
“Unlock successful.” Under her extremely panicked gaze, the phone and headphones flew away, never to return.
Jogo put on the headphones, and a powerful burst of music played.
He fiddled with the phone, thinking, ‘She looks like a sweet girl on the surface, but she’s actually listening to heavy metal rock, and she even turned the volume to the max—it scared me.’ He successfully bypassed facial recognition and had already changed her password.
Even if the girl called the police, it would be useless.
After all, the surveillance footage would show the phone flying away on its own, completely failing to capture Jogo.
Jogo flipped through the contents of the phone, his eye widening, as many shocking chat logs unfolded before his eye.
“This girl is a bit insane.
Her chat logs with others are perfectly normal, but her chats with her best friend are each more explosive than the last.” Just then, he smelled something and looked up.
It was only then that he realized he had unknowingly arrived at a snack street, with stalls everywhere.
“I used to worry about this and that—worried about snacks being unhealthy, getting fat, or being too expensive.
But now, none of that matters anymore.” Jogo shoved the phone into his pocket and lunged forward, immediately starting a zero-dollar shopping spree.
He grabbed whatever looked tasty, and the humans could only watch in terror as skewers flew everywhere.
From time to time, food would float out of the pots and then vanish into thin air.
These horrifying scenes made many citizens realize that a supernatural event was likely occurring, and they all hurried away from the snack street.
In just two or three minutes, the once bustling snack street was empty, and even the stall owners had packed up and fled in fear.
However, Jogo didn’t care.
He carried skewers in his left hand, oden in his right, and had a dorayaki in his mouth, continuing to walk forward with a happy face.
Yoshida Kenji, carrying a briefcase in his left hand and wearing a cheap suit, hurried forward while answering a phone call.
“Understood, Boss.
I’m on my way now.
Please wait a little longer.” Hanging up, he cursed angrily, his breathing becoming heavy, “That damn bastard, all he knows is how to exploit me every day.
He wants me to do everything, damn it.” Just then, his raised right leg seemed to hit something, causing him to lose his balance and fall to the ground.
His pants automatically fell down, revealing a pair of bright red underwear.
His face turned bright red, even redder than the underwear below.
He scrambled to pull up his pants, grabbed his briefcase, covered his face with one hand, and fled in a panic, cursing his bad luck.
Behind him, Jogo withdrew his foot with a wicked grin.
“This kid is quite festive.”
