Levi turned around and saw a cloud of white mist rushing toward his face.

He was, after all, inexperienced in combat.

Caught off guard, he was frozen in place by the cold ice, his entire body turning into a massive ice sculpture.Full novel: JJK: Starting with the Dog and Dragon Talismans — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Through the ice, Levi saw a person with white hair in a bob cut standing on the steps not far away.

The face was expressionless and delicate, making it hard to discern their gender.

He immediately recognized the newcomer’s identity.

This person was Sukuna’s subordinate from a thousand years ago, Uraume.

To continue following his master after Sukuna’s resurrection, he had made a Binding Vow with Kenjaku to be reincarnated in a modern human body.

Uraume lowered the hand he had held to his mouth while performing the technique, looking indifferently at the youth frozen in the ice.

He didn’t offer any evaluation; he simply turned to leave.

Uraume had been nearby just now.

The reason he had rushed over immediately upon hearing the commotion was primarily that he thought the one who destroyed the Curtain was Jogo.

After all, they both used explosion and fire-type techniques.

Of course, it was still far inferior to Lord Sukuna’s “Furnace: Open.”

Uraume didn’t care about Jogo’s life or death; his main concern was that Sukuna’s ten fingers were still with Jogo, and he didn’t want anything to happen to those fingers.

He just hadn’t expected to find that the opponent was merely an insignificant ant.

Just as Uraume was about to leave, he turned back again, staring intently at the youth inside the ice sculpture.

Centered on the young man, the originally bone-chilling white ice gradually began to glow with a warm yellow hue.

Steam began to rise continuously, eventually forming a mist that slightly obscured the view.

When the steam dissipated, Levi was already rolling his shoulders, standing amidst the melting shards of ice with his clothes perfectly dry.

“Whew, being frozen in a block of ice for the first time was quite a novel experience.”

Though his tone was light, Levi knew full well that if it weren’t for the Dog Talisman, he would be dead already.

Even if he hadn’t died, without the Dragon Talisman, his ordinary human physical fitness would have left him trapped and unable to move.

This instantaneous low temperature that could flash-freeze someone was like being dipped in liquid nitrogen—far more dangerous and painful than it appeared on the surface.

“Who are you?”

Uraume questioned coldly.

He couldn’t sense even a trace of cursed energy from this person, yet he could use a fire technique similar to Jogo’s.

Looking at him, it seemed he couldn’t pass through the Curtain and had to use a fire technique to destroy it.

But this was contradictory: if he had cursed energy, why not just walk out?

If he didn’t, how was he producing those flames?

“Speak quickly, or I’ll kill you.”

Uraume added casually—a habit from dealing with foolish ants while following Sukuna a thousand years ago.

These lowly maggots always harbored unrealistic fantasies unless told directly that their lives were at stake.

Levi flicked his hair and took a deep breath: “I’m your daddy.”

Uraume was stunned.

Levi chuckled and struck his own chest, red energy seeping through his skin.

“What’s with all the chatter?”

“You’re a murderous curse user, and I want your brain.”

“At this point, this isn’t something that can be solved with words!”

After the initial daze, Uraume’s expression softened, and he lowered his head with a low laugh.

“Heh, indeed.

To actually care about a maggot’s secret…

have I been influenced by this lowly body?”

He then looked up, his expression returning to indifference: “As a dead man, your identity is indeed irrelevant.”

A person’s level of anger is inversely proportional to the status of the offender in their heart.

The more one is provoked by someone they despise, the stronger the sense of humiliation and rage.

Uraume felt that all humans besides Sukuna were maggots.

Levi, on the other hand, felt: *You’re just a boss’s lackey.

Why should I, with my newly acquired talismans, take any shit from you?*

Both felt intensely offended.

“Ice Formation: Frost Calm!”

“Dragon Blast!”

Levi mimicked Uraume’s stance and spat fire from his mouth as well.

As expected, with the Dragon Talisman in his stomach, breathing fire from his mouth seemed to draw out the Dragon Talisman’s power most effectively!

The cold air and flames collided violently.

At the point of impact, a massive amount of steam blanketed the street.

In the next moment, accompanied by the sound of an explosion, Levi burst through the steam!

His eyes, glowing with red light, traced a straight bloody line through the air.

He released the explosive power of the Dragon Talisman beneath his feet, using the blast as propulsion to achieve speed exceeding that of a Jujutsu Sorcerer!

At this moment, Levi was as fast as a bullet propelled by fulminated mercury!

With the Dog Talisman, he could withstand even the most extreme recoil.

Uraume huffed coldly, an ice blade condensing in his hand as he swung it down toward the charging Levi!

Though he didn’t know how this person had mastered a fire technique…

But no cursed energy meant no cursed energy.

A fellow with zero cursed energy for protection could be killed with a single strike.

And the strike landed true!

Uraume was all too familiar with the sensation of an ice blade cutting through flesh.

A thousand years ago, he was constantly cooking human flesh for Sukuna, and carving ingredients was a regular occurrence.

The blade entered the flesh; there was no cursed energy to block it, and the target’s body offered little resistance.

Uraume already envisioned the scene: in the next heartbeat, they would pass each other, and this maggot would be split in two.

Unfortunately, what followed the fantasy was a massive impact.

Levi’s head shattered the ice blade without slowing down in the slightest and slammed straight into Uraume’s chest!

The dull thud of the collision, the sound of ribs cracking, and the whistle of Uraume being sent flying all rang out almost simultaneously.

He was like a kite with its string cut, his feet leaving the ground as his body tumbled through the air, blasted backward!

“Boom!” With a loud crash, Uraume smashed through a massive tempered glass curtain wall of a shopping mall.

Their momentum didn’t stop as they shot through like a cannonball, finally coming to a dead halt with a heavy thud as their back slammed into a concrete load-bearing pillar inside the mall.

By the time Uraume was peeled off the pillar by gravity like a page from a calendar, cracks could be seen radiating outward from where he had hit.

“Cough…

cough cough…”

Uraume coughed up blood continuously, his body trembling as he struggled to crawl up.

As he tried to rise, he felt a small bead swinging in front of him.

Realizing an eyeball had been knocked out, Uraume reached out and pushed it back into its socket.

He looked up, blood running from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, his internal organs nearly all ruptured.

It was a miracle he could move at all.

However, in just two or three breaths, the damage to Uraume’s face gradually restored itself to its original state.

His breathing was no longer ragged; he simply clutched his chest and slowly stood up from the ground.

Uraume wiped the blood from his face with his sleeve.

When he looked up again, his expression had returned to calm indifference.

It was indeed a collision with powerful impact.

It had indeed caused him severe damage.

But, since it had neither destroyed his brain nor his cursed energy core in the abdomen, it amounted to an ineffective attack.

Because Uraume also mastered the high-level technique known as “Reverse Cursed Technique.”

As long as he could still circulate cursed energy, no matter how severe the injury, he would be restored to his original state in the blink of an eye.
