Slap—

Sukuna slapped himself.

“Sorry, sorry, you distracted me for a second… wait, is ‘Emperor Itadori’ supposed to be me?” Yuji muttered, his voice shifting back to normal.

“BRAT… HOW ARE YOU STILL ABLE TO MOVE?” Sukuna’s voice rasped from the same mouth.

“Huh? Because it’s my body.”

The half-naked, pink-haired teenager stood there, talking to himself.

Actually, it was two souls having a conversation in one body.

A moment later, the small pair of eyes under Yuji’s normal ones slowly closed.

Sukuna had been completely suppressed.

Kaito sighed in relief.

That was the first hurdle cleared upon crashing into this world.

“Don’t move!” Megumi Fushiguro barked, stepping out of the background.

He stood with his fists clenched, one stacked slightly above the other, his arms extended forward in a familiar stance.

“Itadori, you’re no longer human. And as for you…” Megumi shot Kaito a wary, ice-cold glare.

“Under Jujutsu regulations, I am classifying both of you as Curses. I will exorcise you!”

‘Hss—there was a second hurdle??’ Kaito winced.

How could he have forgotten about this suicide-charge kid?

A wave of anxiety hit him.

In the original story, a blindfolded, white-haired teacher should appear any moment to save the day.

But what if the timeline had changed?

What if Kaito’s sudden arrival pushed this kid to the edge and made him summon Mahoraga right away?

If that happened, even if Satoru Gojo showed up in time, the shockwaves from the fight would destroy Kaito’s fragile Suku-Blob body.

“Don’t do anything rash! Calm down!” Kaito shouted.

“I’m not an enemy, I’m…”

His brain worked in overdrive—assuming he still even possessed a brain in this anatomical mess.

Should he reveal he was an Isekai protagonist?

Whether Megumi would believe him right away was a massive gamble.

And even if he convinced the kid, there was zero guarantee Jujutsu High would trust or protect a ‘dimension traveler.’

He needed to fabricate the perfect identity.

Something that explained his sudden appearance while giving him enough leverage to be accepted and protected by the sorcerers.

Otherwise, trying to survive out in the wild in this Suku-Blob body would be a nightmare.

Running into an oversized Flyhead would be a literal life-or-death struggle.

“…I’m a Jujutsu Sorcerer from sixty-eight years in the future! I’m on your side, so don’t self-destruct!” Kaito yelled, frantically patching the holes in his fabricated backstory while trying to pacify Megumi.

“I possess critical intelligence regarding the present and the future! I came back to resolve a crisis threatening both timelines!”

Megumi’s blood-stained brow furrowed even deeper.

‘The future?

An allied sorcerer?

A temporal crisis?’

Seeing the boy hesitate, Kaito struck while the iron was hot.

“If you ever want to marry your sister Tsumiki and have kids with her—you need to calm down and think rationally!”

“MARRY HIS SISTER??” Yuji’s eyes bugged out as he stared at Megumi.

For a guy who looked so cold and aloof, he sure played hardcore behind closed doors.

“What the hell are you spewing??” Megumi yelled, his face flushing crimson with humiliation and anger.

“It’s fine. You’re a blended family with zero blood relation. You’re basically just childhood friends,” Kaito coaxed smoothly, doing anything to keep the kid’s attention off summoning Mahoraga.

“Plus, studies show that childhood friends who meet after their formative years have a much higher probability of romance, and they maintain better loyalty rates than standard social dating. THIS IS A GOOD THING!”

Megumi was so furious he couldn’t even form words.

Yet, entirely against his will, his brain began visualizing that exact scenario.

‘An older, more mature Tsumiki, wearing that same gentle smile as she sat at the dining table.

She hands me a bowl of miso soup, just as she has for the last decade, but the name leaving her lips is no longer Megumi, but…’

‘No!

Stop thinking about it!’

Tsumiki was lying in a hospital bed in a coma, and here he was indulging in this shameless delusion.

Worse, if that man found out…

“Oh my~ So Megumi has a crush on little Tsumiki! I’m so jealous of childhood romances~”

A teasing voice resounded from directly behind Megumi.

“…” Megumi closed his eyes in despair.

It was over… the last person he ever wanted to know had just heard everything.

How was this any different from broadcasting it to the entire world??

“Don’t worry,” Satoru Gojo chuckled, patting Megumi on the back.

“I practically raised both of you, so you have my full support! Once little Tsumiki wakes up and you two tie the knot, I’ll be sitting right in the parents’ seats waiting for your formal bows, hahahahahaha…”

“Why are you here?” Megumi asked, gritting his teeth.

“I wasn’t planning on coming, but a Special Grade Cursed Object went missing and the higher-ups were being super annoying about it.”

Gojo said, pulling out his phone and blind-typing at lightning speed.

“I figured I’d do some sightseeing while I took care of business. I never expected to hear something this juicy.”

Kaito sighed.

At the very least, there wouldn’t be any more fatal accidents right now.

He remembered that Kenjaku had planned for Yuji to swallow Sukuna’s finger.

Kenjaku might not be here in person, but Hanami’s stealth could even hide from Gojo’s Six Eyes.

It was possible that Kenjaku’s group was watching them from a distance right now.

Both options were real possibilities.

Regardless, Kaito’s existence as a massive anomaly had almost certainly been noticed.

Still, as long as Gojo was here, Kenjaku’s group absolutely wouldn’t make a move.

“Gojo-sensei… what are you doing on your phone?” Megumi glared coldly at Gojo’s rapidly moving thumbs.

“Just sharing the good news with the second-year students!” Gojo smirked.

“They’re all going to be guests at your wedding. Maybe even your groomsmen~”

“…” Megumi lacked the energy to even retort.

It wasn’t like he could bypass the Limitless just to snatch the phone away.

“So, what’s the situation here?” Gojo asked, finally getting down to business as he pocketed his phone.

“Did we find Sukuna’s finger? And what exactly is this slime on the ground?”

“Umm… sorry,” Yuji raised his hand awkwardly.

“As for the finger… I ate it.”

During the distraction, Kaito had taken a moment to internally probe the second, unfamiliar cursed technique residing inside him alongside Shrine.

While thoroughly shocked by what he discovered, it perfectly provided the final missing piece of his fabricated backstory.

“As for me, I’m a Jujutsu Sorcerer from the future,” Kaito stated.

“I look like this due to a mix of time travel side effects and my cursed technique.”

“For real?” Even Gojo was struck silent for a few seconds.

“Super real,” Kaito nodded.

“A sorcerer…” Yuji crouched down to check on Kaito, his saint-like nature taking over.

“That means you’re human. Are you okay looking like this?”

“Never better.” A fleshy tentacle extended from the side of Kaito’s slime-like mass and tapped the top of his head.

“I’m bursting with energy!!”

Gojo pulled down his blindfold, showing his bright blue eyes that seemed to hold the whole sky.

He looked closely at Yuji, then glanced back and forth at Kaito.

A smirk appeared on his face, like a kid who just found a new toy.

“Haha, wow, you really did merge with Sukuna’s finger,” Gojo said to Yuji, before staring down at Kaito.

“And as for you… the fundamental composition of your body is completely identical to one of Sukuna’s fingers. You’re basically a living, breathing cursed object. Your cursed energy signature is a perfect match, too.”

Gojo wore an easy smile, and his tone was entirely nonchalant, but this was a very real, very dangerous interrogation.

“A time traveler from the future?” Gojo asked lightly.

“Personally, I think it’s way more likely that one of Sukuna’s fingers just underwent some weird mutation. Do you have any reasonable explanation? Or maybe some concrete proof?”

Right at that moment, Sukuna, never one to pass up an opportunity to cause chaos, manifested a mouth on Yuji’s cheek.

“So a piece of my power awakened an ego and thinks it can escape my control?” Sukuna mocked.

“How laughable. You are nothing but a meager fraction of my strength.”

“Why do you keep popping out??” Yuji complained, slapping his cheek.

Whether intentional or not, Sukuna’s words served as testimony against him.

The atmosphere in the courtyard immediately turned hostile, the air thickening with heavy tension.

Kaito just smiled calmly.

Proof?

His meta-knowledge of the plot was all the proof he needed.

A reasonable identity?

That was easy.

He just needed to claim some heritage!

“I’m a distant relative of the Zen’in Clan!” Kaito declared loudly.

“And my cursed technique is something Sukuna could never possess—a mutated version of the Ten Shadows Technique!”

“THE TEN FRAUDS TECHNIQUE!!!”
