…

Megumi thought he’d already pictured the worst of the collateral damage from Kaito’s battle.

Then he walked out of the ruined dorm.

Half the buildings were hazardous, collapsing ruins.

The other half was scorched earth.

Where the track field used to be, there was now a crater two hundred meters wide gouged into the blackened ground, with a red-hot rock over a hundred meters tall slowly crumbling at its center.

What the hell was this??

Had World War III just broken out??

Why hadn’t anyone told him?

Did someone drop two nukes and then summon a meteor on top for good measure?

Was this even the Jujutsu world anymore?

Megumi stared numbly at Kaito, who was busy subjugating Shikigami.

And this guy wanted him to take the blame?

Could a Grade 2 Sorcerer even afford to take the fall for this??

Dropping a single house on someone was his limit!

Right now, Kaito was piloting [Fraud Itadori], with a freshly recharged Lower Half of Gojo as his wingman.

And the enemy he was subjugating?

The severed head of [Fraud Jogo]!

That’s right.

Kaito hadn’t just been eating popcorn during the earlier battle before stepping in himself.

He’d been quietly soaking up the cursed energy leaking from the fight, gathering enough to summon [Fraud Jogo].

[Fraud Jogo] was just a head.

It was the state Jogo had been reduced to in his very first fight with Satoru Gojo, when Gojo casually ripped his head off his shoulders.

As for why it wasn’t the burnt-to-a-crisp version from when Sukuna cooked him with “Fūga”?

Kaito figured the severed head was far more fraudulent.

In the Juju Strolls, Kenjaku and Mahito had literally kicked Jogo’s severed head around like a beach ball.

In Shibuya, he’d at least gone out like a warrior.

When it came to pure fraudulence, nothing beat [Beach Ball Jogo Head].

“Bicycle kick!”

Kaito kicked [Fraud Jogo] straight at Gojo’s lower half.

[Fraud Jogo] spun wildly through the air, the mini-volcano on its head spewing magma in every direction!

The Lower Half of Gojo was locked and loaded!

Last time, its Squirt had missed the target, evaporating into steam mid-flight from the heat.

Kaito had learned that lesson the hard way.

People always have a soft spot for their first of anything, and Kaito was no different.

He couldn’t stand to see his very first [Fraud Shikigami] stay a joke whose ultimate move was only good for comic relief.

So Kaito had sat down and brainstormed for real, taking the Lower half of Gojo’s Hollow Squirt to the next level!

As everyone knows, Reverse Cursed Technique isn’t a cursed technique at all.

It’s just an advanced application of cursed energy manipulation.

Even Gege Akutami had complained that the name was misleading.

On top of that, people who could output positive energy to heal others weren’t the only ones who could project positive energy outside their bodies.

Before getting isekai’d, Kaito had reread Jujutsu Kaisen, that glorious fever dream of a manga, over and over.

He’d noticed a pattern in every explanation of RCT, most of which came from Shoko Ieiri.

Nowhere did it say outright that only people who could heal others could project positive energy outward!

When Shoko explained RCT, she’d said plenty of people could heal themselves but not others, because the recipient’s body might reject the healer’s cursed energy.

The wording implied that projecting the energy wasn’t the problem.

The rejection was!

Besides, sorcerers like Gojo and Kenjaku could channel positive energy into their innate techniques to trigger Cursed Technique Reversal.

If they could handle positive energy well enough to fuel a technique, it made zero sense that they couldn’t project it outward.

That left one real plot hole: during the Shibuya Incident, why hadn’t Gojo just blasted RCT to vaporize the Disaster Curses?

After carefully analyzing the RCT data stored in his Suku-Blob vessel, Kaito had figured it out.

It came down to the nature of the energy itself.

If cursed energy was “active,” positive energy was “inert.” You could even see it in the anime’s visuals.

Cursed energy flared like wild flames, while positive energy drifted sluggishly like white mist.

Unless you could pull a Yuta Okkotsu and french-kiss Kurourushi, injecting positive energy straight into a cursed spirit’s vitals for instant annihilation, using RCT output offensively was wildly inefficient compared to Gojo just throwing hands.

Building on this theory, Kaito had developed patch 2.0 for Squirt.

He mimicked the torsion of Blue and Red to crank up the water pressure, then infused positive energy right into the “ammo,” creating holy water that could annihilate a cursed spirit’s flesh!

The exclusive Anti-Curse Edition!!

The Lower half of Gojo thrust its hips forward!

One blast, and the spinning, magma-spewing [Fraud Jogo] was extinguished and vaporized!

Subjugation complete!

Kaito was nearly in tears.

It hadn’t been easy, but his starter Shikigami was finally combat-viable! This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.

He was convinced that once he’d copied the strengths of a hundred different techniques, the Lower half of Gojo would get upgrade after upgrade!

‘I swear I’ll raise you to be the strongest Shikigami in the world!’ Kaito vowed.

“Gojo-sensei, aren’t you going to turn around and look?” Megumi asked weakly.

“…”

“I don’t… I don’t want to see anything,” Gojo replied, his back to the world, his voice dead.

What else could he do??

Kaito had claimed that getting ambushed had left him traumatized, so he needed to power up his Shikigami to protect himself.

His exact words were still echoing in Gojo’s head: ‘Gojo-sensei, you wouldn’t want your junior from the future, who sacrificed everything to come back and save you all, to die a tragic, meaningless death, right?’

From the moral high ground, Kaito had hit him with a multi-dimensional guilt trip, a soul-searching interrogation, and blackmail all at once!

Kaito’s voice rang out again.

“Next up! Taming Hanami! Sigh. Since we technically had a brief romantic date in a flower field, stand down, Lower Half of Gojo. I’ll water this one myself.”

Hanami’s fraud state was [Hanami Paste].

It was the state she’d been left in after Gojo smashed her into a wall in Shibuya.

Kaito activated his technique and summoned [Hanami Paste].

A huge puddle of purple, bloody sludge appeared out of thin air and splattered across the ground!

[Hanami Paste] squirmed, slowly trying to clump back together.

It looked even more like a slime than Kaito’s Suku-Blob body did!

“Talk about fate…” Kaito sighed dramatically.

“Shame we’re on opposite sides.”

He quietly channeled positive energy and purified [Hanami Paste] into the afterlife.

Subjugation complete!

“Megumi, Gojo-sensei! What are you doing? Get over here!”

Kaito waved his tentacles at them.

The two exchanged a tired look and reluctantly shuffled over.

Kaito laid out the plan.

“Healing Yuji’s arm is going to be tricky. We need way more efficient Reverse Cursed Technique. Megumi, I need you to summon Round Deer. Gojo, hold it down so it doesn’t move. I’ll absorb its cursed energy to summon [Fraud Round Deer].”

At Megumi’s current level, taming a Shikigami whose main ability was outputting Reverse Cursed Technique on his own was impossible.

Unless he threw his life away in a suicidal Binding Vow to squeeze out one massive attack, it was out of the question.

So Kaito had to be the one to tame [Fraud Round Deer].

And even that might not be enough.

“Speaking of which…” Kaito swiveled his blob head, struck by a sudden idea.

“Did Shoko Ieiri go to Kyoto too?”
