The Group marched off, chatting about random things on the way, as they headed to the old factory.
None of them were scared or actually believed the place was cursed, if it was, Jujutsu Sorcerers would have dealt with it already, so there wasn’t anything to worry about.
They all arrived at the gates of the factory, in the distance the fireworks kept going, but they weren’t the main focus, the group stopped off at Ryuki’s House to change into normal clothes before they went to the factory, as it’s hard to climb fences in Yukata.
Ryuki and Runa hopped over the gate, and pulled the beam holding it in place away, before opening it for the others.
The walked through the yard of the factory, there was old tools and lumber scattered everywhere, it was an old furniture factory, that was frequently visited when it was around, as they would sell to the residents of the town from there for cheap, while still shipping alot of furniture to their client stores.
The group came to a door, it was old, and the window in it had been shattered, but also unlocked, they pulled out their phones and turned on their lights, and kept moving through the building.
“Woah cool!
is that a full on king sized bed?!
It looks brand new!” Amane said with a booming voice.
Runa stared at it slightly nervous, with sharp eyes, Ryuki simply shrugged and told everyone to keep moving.
“Rei, how far have you and Chisaki gone eh?” Amane said without stopping for a moment to think about what he just said.
Ryuki hit him on the head and said “You shouldn’t ask stuff like that to lovebirds, even if they are our groups lovebirds”.
Though Embarrassed, Chisaki chimed in, “You really asking him about us when i am here?”.
They kept walking through the factory, peering into rooms they pass, and Amane mentions everything, even though he has always been a very talkative person, he is being more talkative than usual, even so, the entire group in unison thought the same thing- Amane talks too much.
Suddenly he stopped talking, which made everyone look to him, he turned around and said “Hey uh, why the hell is there a full on meal, like, that looks as if it was cooked today, i can smell it from here, smells like chicken.” Runa looks more worried now, and Ryuki gets closer to it and looks at it, it doesn’t look like chicken, maybe a chicken organ?
But its too big to be one.
Suddenly, Ryuki’s thinking is interrupted by a loud thud, all of the group freeze, then without moving, look around, none of them made that noise.
Another noise, this time, creaking, then a door closing.
then footsteps.
The group all start running towards the door, being as quiet as possible, not stopping to think about anything, they just kept moving, as they reached the door, they realised it wasn’t how they left it.
They kept it open with a piece of wood, but it was closed, the wood gone.
Rei tried to open the door, but it had been locked, Ryuki slammed his foot into it, trying to kick it open, but to no avail.
The window is too small to fit through, so Ryuki leads them into a room near them, with big windows, he picks up a circular saw from the floor, and lobs it at the window, smashing it.
They all climb out, being careful not to be impaled by glass shards.
they reach the gate and realise it too has been closed, but something was off, everything was too dark, they were outside, but no noise was to be heard, the festival hadn’t ended.
Even if the fireworks had there would still be lights visible from where they are, but they saw no lights, if anything, it was as if there was no light, yet they could somehow see.
They tried to hop the gate, but couldn’t.
Something was stopping them.
They start to panic as the realisation sets in.
They are stuck, and something is seriously, seriously wrong.
