Aria.
I was up before the sun cast its orange shadow on the earth.
The d-day was finally here.
Unlike in the palace where I was allowed to do nothing for myself, here I had to get ready myself.
I watched eagerly waiting for whoever was coming to pick me up from here, God knows how much I was dying just to get out.
You might ask what happened and why can’t I leave the room on my own.
Well, unfortunately, a certain jerk decided to have me locked up and yet had the audacity to claim I wasn’t a prisoner.
Unfortunately for him, Aria always settles scores and he had better watch his back.
I counted with my fingers watching as time bled by, the door finally croaked open.
“Right about time.” I grumbled, shooting to my feet.
Jax walked in, poker faced “Ready to go?” he asked.
“Seriously?
Who frowns early in the morning?
He and his president were really cut from the same cloth.
Grumpy jerks.
“Sorry?” He eyed me.
Shit, I must’ve said that aloud, my big mouth would definitely land me in trouble one day.
“Ready to go?”
I rolled my eyes “Not like there’s anything to pack.
I’m ready.”
He walked ahead without a word, hands in pocket, “Arrogant.” I scoffed but still fell in behind him.
He held out his phone, earpiece plugged in, vibing to whatever music he was listening to, while I struggled to match his steps.
One of the disadvantages of being wolflessless.
I was almost human, no speed, no strength, no nothing.
I could barely keep up with him walking, imagine a situation where I had to run for my life?
“Like your wedding day?” A voice whispered in my head.
I ignored it, enough of this self pity.
We made our way outside the warehouse, the bikes were already lined up, same as when they had first taken me.
Back then I couldn’t get a good look at them, but now I did.
They were all black, lined up neatly with the riders already sitting on them as though they were waiting for something or rather someone, every bike had an owner.
Jax walked straight to the middle, they were all there, dressed in the same leather jackets, black gloves, black pants, I couldn’t help feeling a little out of place.
My eyes found one of the riders and instantly I knew who it was, his bike stood out differently, where the others were smaller it stood tall and proud just like him.
The matte-black motorcycle rumbled beneath him, its powerful engine growling like a caged beast.
Sleek, fast, and intimidating, like it was a machine built for dominance and control, something that screamed, Alpha.
He had his helmet on, but from the way the hairs on my arm stood I knew his gaze was fixed on me.
‘Show off,’ I mumbled.
Jax walked to the bike beside Cain, the only empty bike, finally putting his phone away and grabbing his helmet and putting it on, his engine roared to life.
Without a word Cain threw a smaller helmet at me, I caught it instinctively,
”Hop on” his voice was flat, delivering the order like he was talking to his subordinate.
I rolled my eyes, “You can’t be serious.”
The facial glass of the helmet rose and I found myself staring straight at those hypnotic silver pupils, “Get in.”
I scoffed, “Bite me.”
He snarled, “I’ll tie you down to this bike if I have to and it won’t be a pleasurable experience, get in princess.”
Unfazed, I glared right back, already feeling my anger rise, “You lock me up for days, avoid me and suddenly I’m expected to hop on your pretty little bike and ride with you like your passenger princess?
Dream on.”
The entire pack was dead silent now, you could hear a pin if it dropped, like the others were scared to so much as breath.
Well, fuck them and fuck this biker crew, but I’ll be dead ass crazy before I ride with this asshole.
His pupils glowed, his chest rumbling with a restrained growl, like he was fighting not to snap.
I turned to the nearest figure beside him and using my sweetest voice, I blinked innocently, “Can I ride with you?”
The tension now was almost enough to cut through air, the figure choked on nothing, coughing vigorously, clearly the question was unexpected.
“As much as I don’t mind riding with you princess, I value my life very much, I’d have to decline this Honour.” he spoke, from the voice I knew it was Bones.
Fine.
I nodded, I refused to believe that no one would let me ride with them, I would rather run behind them, there must be someone willing to ignore the death stares Cain was throwing around, right?
Cain watched me lazily, fingers gripped tight on his bike, his eyes shot daggers at me, but I ignored them.
If there was one thing I knew about blood oath, unlike a normal mate mark this was deeper, it didn’t just bind feelings, it bound life too.
“You’re testing me bunny.”
”Yeah right, more like I’m the one being tested.”
”Seems your little bunny is a fierce bunny after all.” I heard Mika’s voice from behind, her bike had red lines drawn explicitly on it, it stood out in a spectacular way.
“Wow.” I mumbled, in short, it was badass.
A tongue clicked, Cain stood, like he was about to make good on his promise, I took a step back then looked at Mika pleadingly, she was my last hope.
“The princess can ride with me.” She said with resignation, “We need to get moving Alpha, we have to get back early and the journey was wrong.”
”Fine.” He spat, sat on his bike, it roared to life and without waiting he zoomed off, the other bikes roared to life, Jax zoomed off behind him, Mika stopped before me, I hopped in, hugging her tightly.
She zoomed after them at an impossibly high speed and together we all sped towards my newly found freedom or whatever this was.
