Aria’s Pov.

Two days pass by in a blink, the knob turns and I know who it is before she speaks.

Propping myself up I watched her every move, “You know, I can’t figure you out.” I mutter.Full novel: Kidnapped By Her Sister’s Biker Mate — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She shrugs, “You’re not supposed to princess.”

I sighed, “I would love to.” I paused, taking a breath and then continued, “Sometimes you’re fierce in a nice way, like a mother protecting her kids, while some times you’re like wounded tigress ready to bite anyone standing in your way.

She eyed me then burst into laughter, “Stop spewing nonsense princess” she smacked my head.

I frowned, covering the part that was hit, “just stating the truth got me smacked?

That’s so unfair.”

”The world is not a bed of roses princess, also you need to get ready, we’ll be on the move soon.”

My ears sparked at the words, “on the move?

Go where?”

She shook her head with a helpless look, “you look like a child being handed a candy at this point”

”Come on, tell me” I whined, “where are we heading to?

I pressed on.

“To the club house.” She grinned proudly,

”The clubhouse,”

”Yes.

That’s where the entire club stays, we only came over here to help Alpha extract you, but now, the mission is done, we are done too, we just have to return to base and plan out our next steps.” she pressed on, her eyes gleaming at the mention of returning to their base.

I felt something in me dip at the thought, yes, I was excited to leave this place I had been couped in for days, it wasn’t too bad but the promise of freedom, away from this part of the world, it all felt too good to be true.

The door opened and shut, “Hey, Aria, how are we doing today?” Bones asked with a kind smile as he ran his checks on me.

I returned the smile, “will be better if I’m not inside here”

”We’re leaving soon, Alpha didn’t inform—?”

”I already did.” Mika cut him off.

His words reminded me of someone I had tried so hard not to think off for the past two days, the asshole that kept me in her but wouldn’t even dare to visit, my head hurt just at the thought of it. The source of this chapter is novelping.com.

“I take it he’s still avoiding you then.” he chuckled, standing upright his fingers leaving my pulse the stethoscope hanged off his neck.

I scoffed, “who needs him.

It’s good he doesn’t come, his presence makes me sick.”

Bones gave me a look that said he doesn’t believe but probably deciding not to pursue it any longer he gave me a knowing look, “I still need to round up some things before we set off, but you’re as good as new Aria, for now at least.”

With that he left, leaving just me and a Mika that looked like she was bored out of her mind.

I couldn’t help thinking about what Stanley had said back then, did they really have to babysit me?

I could handle myself.

Not like either of them believed that, except Cain and Stanley every other person took turns spending time with me, the stone faced Jax, Mika, even Bones, although I could tell that it isn’t something either of them were too pleased with, well neither was I.

Mika sat on a stool, arms folded, eyes closed a diamond ring sitting pretty on her fingers, her face long and oval shaped, long legs, slim waist, dress her a little less manly and she’d be quite the charmer.

You may ask how I know?

Well, spend years talking to yourself in a dark room and you’d pick up efficient observation skills.

“Out with it.” Her lips moved but her eye lids remained shut.

“Huh?” I asked.

“Unless you have an excuse for why you’re undressing me with your eyes I’ll suggest asking the question in your heart now princess.”

How did she know?

Well, here goes nothing, even knowing the answer I still wanted to hear it, maybe a different voice would convince me.

“Stanley hates me?” My voice was laced with uncertainty and maybe a bit of hope.

Ouch, I scoffed.

“I didn’t do anything to him” I whined.

“He’s angry, angry people need something to direct their anger at, you just happen to be the relative closest to his reason of anger” she shrugged like it was nothing.

“So, I’m just a stand in for his anger then?”

She nodded, “That’s one way to put it”

I fell back on the bed, my mind all over the place, it made no sense.

Hating on me, for something which I was equally a victim to?

A sigh left her lips.

Her hooded eyes slowly opened she fixed them on me, face turning serious.

“You may think we babysit you now, but the earlier you understand that it is not the case the better for you, Cain can barely understand his own feelings not to mention watching a weak omega from day to night.

Defective or not, poisoned or not, the world has no place for the weak, instead it’d swallow them.”

Her eyes glowed then she stood, moving towards me, finally stopping at the edge of the bed she bent to my level, “In my world you want something you fight for it, tooth and nail, especially something as high as respect.

Whether you gotta earn it or fight for it, doesn’t matter but you will work for it or it’d swallow you whole.”

She turned her back to me, “A backbone without strength in my world only sends you to your grave faster.

I hope you survive everything.” With that she turned and left.

As the door shut I finally heard it, the thumping sound of my heart beat, I had been frozen solid while she delivered everything she had to deliver.

A small smile made its way to my lips, “Respect huh?”
