"Shut the fuck up! Don’t spout any nonsense!" Aiden shouted in rage.

Prince’s mind swirled with a threatening thought. ’Do I really need to kill an ancient monster?’
An Ancient Devil was an SS-Rank threat by this world, and that touched the impossible layer to defeat one with the current stats of Prince.
He’d fought hard things before. He’d fought things that should have killed him twice over.
But this was a completely different category of hard entirely, the type where raw effort alone was not going to be some of help.
Though he was an SSS ranker, he still didn’t have full control over his authority.
’Wait, but system asked me to avoid, not exactly kill.’
’Does that mean there’s no way to kill it?’
As Prince looked around, he found the monsters had already covered them in a loose circle.
’Is there any way possible to avoid this?’
Suddenly a person came in his mind. The person who always carried a mask on his face. The person who gave him Infinite Authorities.
Yes, you guessed it right. The Masked Man.
The only person popped into his mind, the only person who could turn the tide of this fight, was him.
...Unfortunately, that person might be sleeping by now.
Prince commanded. "Everyone, who is not fighting against the red slime monster, take care of the small ones. And the five of us will take care of that monster. Does anyone have any problem with this order?"
The voice of a student from behind struck everyone’s ears. "Why should we follow your orders? We all are going to die, so why are you acting like the prince? You are no different from us now."
Some whispers seemed to agree with the voice.
Prince replied. "Even if we are going to die like this, tell me what your life truly was? Do you think your life had meaning? If we are really going to die, why don’t we take them with us? Not for our own lives, but for our friends, and other people, standing outside the barrier?"
As he said it, an idea sparked in his mind.
’I get it now, this is why the system asked me to avoid it.’
"Do you have anything in mind?" A student asked. "If not, then why should we care?"
"Yes," Prince said, his lips curling up slightly. "And that is..."
His palm sat on his forehead and a laugh escaped from his mouth. "Run towards the barrier."
Prince grabbed Snow’s hand and started running without turning back.
He used Shadow Bind first, to bind the monsters using their own shadows against them.
Shadow tendrils shot out from beneath each monster, wrapping tight around ankles and claws.
One by one, the creatures froze mid-lunge, snarling uselessly against restraints made from the very darkness.
Then he crafted a blade again, Shadow weapon, and used Umbra Slash that sliced through the air.
Swoohh....
In the next second, the heads of the monsters in front of them fell off, and rolled onto the ground.
It created a great opening for them to run.
Everyone looked at each other first, frowned, and started running at their full pace.
Not caring about anything, Aiden and the rest who were stalling time for them, now seemed to follow what Prince had said.
The deadly laugh of the red slime monster spread across the battlefield.
He knew that neither he nor his class could handle an ancient devil, not only this... he came up with another idea in the meantime.
"Hey... aren’t we supposed to fight that monster?" Snow asked, a serious expression across her face, while matching his pace stride for stride.
"Don’t be so stupid, we can’t take it all by ourselves." He replied.
"So what? There’s no way to get help from outside. Even if we are going to die... I shall die like the proud wolf."
"Why do you always talk so pridefully?"
"What do you mean ’always’, huh?"
"Ohh right, if you were that prideful, you wouldn’t have kissed me late at night."
Snow bit her lip. "You should be lucky that you got one from me." Her face flushed in ruby red.
"Indeed. But I want one again. I think I forgot how good it was."
"Are y-you an idiot...? Even in this situation!" She stuttered.
"So do I have any chance to get one again?"
