The "Special Menagerie" wasn't a room; it was a high-security vault disguised as a luxury lounge. The walls were lined with velvet cases, each holding a beastkin collar that hummed with a sickly, neon-purple light.
"You see these, girl?" Silas gestured broadly, his rings clicking against a glass case. "The 'Spring Collection.' These collars don't just look pretty; they filter the wearer's will until they are nothing more than beautiful, obedient statues. A perfect product for a chaotic world."
Elara felt the pulse of 'Iron Resolve' through her bond with Fen. Somewhere in the shadows of the mansion, the Wolf-Knight was likely holding back the urge to tear Silas’ throat out. Elara, however, kept her face a mask of 'Prim' curiosity.
"A remarkable achievement in craftsmanship, Excellency," Elara said, her voice as smooth as silk. She leaned forward, ostensibly to admire a collar encrusted with sapphires.
"Take the polishing cloth," Silas commanded, handing her a piece of enchanted chamois. "This collar—The Azure Bind—needs to be flawless for the auction. Start with the buckle."
Elara knelt at his feet, the slit in her black silk dress falling open to the top of her thigh. Silas’ breath hitched as he caught a glimpse of the spider-silk stockings and the crimson lace of the garter belt.
"I see the Guild dresses its servants as well as its masters," he murmured, his hand hovering near Elara’s shoulder.
H.U.D. OVERLOAD:
[Polishing Meter] Active. Perfect polish earns extra hit points.
Goal: Maintain 'Maid' composure while Silas is [Distracted].
Bonus: Your 'Persistent Growth' is currently at 95% Pressure.
Elara worked with rhythmic precision. Each stroke of the cloth was deliberate, her eyes fixed on the silver buckle. But inside, she was a pressure cooker. The 'ventilation' of her red lace set was the only thing keeping her from overheating.
"Master, I'm in position," Mochi’s voice whispered in her ear. "The Ferret is patrolling the upper catwalks. She’s got a nose like a bloodhound. She’s smelling something... 'excited' in the room. You need to wrap it up, or she’s going to pounce."
A sudden, sharp sniff echoed from the rafters above.
"Silas," a voice purred—a voice that sounded like sandpaper on velvet. "You didn't tell me we had new meat on tonight."
A shadow dropped from the ceiling, landing silently on the plush carpet. Lyra the Ferret was a vision of dark fur and dangerous curves, clad in little more than leather straps and a pair of serrated daggers. She walked toward Elara with a hip-swaying predator's gait, her nostrils flaring.
"Lyra, back to your post," Silas snapped. "I'm supervising the server."
"Are you?" Lyra asked, leaning down until her face was inches from Elara’s. She didn't look at the collar. She looked at the slight, rhythmic movement of the spider-silk garter on Elara’s thigh. "Because this 'server' smells like she’s about to hunt you, Silas. And her 'weapon'... it’s not in her hand."
Lyra’s eyes met Elara’s. The Ferret-kin’s pupils were blown wide, reacting to the sheer volume of 'Predator' pheromones Elara was unconsciously leaking.
"Master! She knows!" Hops squeaked in the earpiece.
Elara didn't panic. She dropped the polishing cloth and stood up, her 'Stature' surging as she stopped suppressing her aura. The 'rolling pin' gave a violent, celebratory pulse against her leg, threatening to snap the spider-silk threads.
"Excellency," Elara said, her voice dropping an octave into a cold, commanding rasp. "I'm afraid I have to terminate my contract. The silver is polished... but your soul is looking a little tarnished."
Lyra grinned, her tongue licking her upper lip. "Oh, I like this one. Silas, can I keep her? Or at least... part of her?"
Silas backed away, his face pale as he realized the "server" he had been ogling was now radiating enough raw, predatory mana to dim the lights in the gallery. "Lyra! Kill her! Now!"
But Lyra didn't move for her daggers. Instead, she circled Elara with the fluid, hip-swaying grace of a creature who had just found a new toy to play with. She reached out with a clawed finger, snagging the hem of Elara’s black silk dress and lifting it just enough to reveal the masterpiece of crimson lace and spider silk beneath.
"Oh, Silas," Lyra purred, her golden eyes shimmering. "You don't kill something this... exquisite. You savor it."
The Ferret-kin leaned in, her nose brushing against the spider-silk stocking on Elara’s inner thigh. Her pupils dilated until they were nearly solid black. "Red lace... and a garter holster? You’re a very 'Prim' little assassin, aren't you? But your 'weapon' is practically screaming to be let out of its cage."
Elara felt her heart hammering against her ribs—not from fear, but from the sheer, overwhelming heat Lyra was radiating. The Ferret’s pheromones were like a drug, hitting Elara’s 'Predator' instincts with the force of a tidal wave.
"I'm here for the collars, Lyra," Elara rasped, her hands clenching into fists as she fought to maintain her composure. "And for Silas. Step aside, and I might let you run."
Lyra let out a low, vibrating giggle that felt like a caress against Elara's skin. She reached up, her fingers dancing over the reinforced garter straps that were currently straining to hold Elara’s 'rolling pin' in place.
"I don't think so," Lyra whispered. "I want to see if the legend is true. They say the 'Predator' class has a release that can rewrite a soul. And looking at this..." She gave the 'rolling pin' a firm, playful squeeze through the spider silk. "...I think I’m ready for a rewrite."
H.U.D. STATUS ALERT:
[Seductress’s Aura] Active.
Effect: Your 'Persistent Growth' has reached 110% Capacity.
Warning: Spider-Silk Garter is at its structural limit.
With a sudden, sharp movement, Lyra didn't attack Elara—she attacked the garter. Her claw caught the main release buckle of the spider-silk holster and flicked it.
SNAP.
The tension vanished. Elara’s 'rolling pin,' finally freed from its tactical confinement, surged forward with a violent, rhythmic thrum. It didn't just 'pop' out; it claimed the space between them, the head of the shaft pulsing right against Lyra’s midriff. The crotchless red lace framed the sudden emergence perfectly, the delicate frills shivering with every beat of Elara’s heart.
Lyra’s breath hitched, her knees visibly trembling. "By the Moon..." she gasped, her hands trembling as she reached for the throbbing shaft. "It's... it’s glorious."
"Master!" Hops' voice shrieked in the earpiece. "Silas is running for the alarm! Fen is intercepted by the guards!"
Elara didn't look at the door. She looked at Lyra. She was no longer a guard; she was a supplicant, her predatory gaze replaced by a look of hungry, desperate submission.
"You want to see the 'rewrite'?" Elara growled, her hand catching the back of Lyra’s head and pulling her down. "Then show me how well a Ferret can serve."
Elara’s 'Predatory Charisma' flared, a dark, golden light shimmering in her eyes. The Seductress had met her match, and the red lace was about to get a whole lot more 'ventilation.'
