Chapter 12 / 36

The Merchant’s Audit

Killer Maid’s Pride

The vault was silent save for the low, rhythmic hum of the enchanted collars and the heavy, ragged breathing of the two predators. Lyra was no longer the smug seductress; she was pinned against the velvet-lined display case, her hands clutching at Elara’s lace-covered hips for support.

"You talk... too much... for a guard," Elara rasped, her eyes burning with a dark, commanding authority.

She didn't give the Ferret a choice. With a firm grip on Lyra’s ears, Elara guided her down. The 'rolling pin' was a hot, pulsing weight, surging with the shared mana of the Pride. As Lyra opened her mouth, her pupils dilated in shock at the sheer scale of what she was expected to accommodate.

Elara pushed forward, and Lyra’s head was forced down Elara’s full shaft. The Ferret-kin let out a muffled, desperate whimper as she felt the shaft throbbing in her throat, the rhythmic pulses of Elara’s mana hitting her like physical blows. Every swallow was a struggle; every heartbeat was a surrender. Lyra wasn't just being used; she was being overwritten.

Elara’s hips rocked more vigorously as she felt the hot sensation of her climax building.

With a final, volcanic surge, Elara released. The thick, hot stream of mana flooded Lyra’s throat. The Ferret’s eyes were blown wide as she strained to swallow the sheer volume of Elara’s release, it overflowing down her gaping jaw and dripping down her nostrils. Breathing heavily, Elara pulled the 'rolling pin' free of the Ferret’s throat with a satisfying wet plop. Lyra slumped back against the floor, her chest heaving, a thick trail of Elara’s "blessing" spilling down her chin onto her breasts. She looked up, her gaze now filled with a terrifyingly loyal intensity.

"Master..." Lyra whispered, her voice a shredded rasp. "The... the keys. I know where he keeps them."

The Ferret-kin scrambled to her feet, her movements now perfectly synchronized with Elara’s shadow. She led the way through the labyrinthine warehouse, her superior nose catching the scent of the master key’s cold iron.

"Silas is a fool," Lyra hissed as they moved past stacks of enchanted crates. "He thinks his guards can stop you. He’s so blinded by the gold from the auction that he hasn't even noticed I’ve stopped reporting in. He’s in the main hall now, starting the bidding."

They found the master key—a heavy, pulsating crystal—tucked inside a decoy collar. Elara snatched it up, feeling the 'Iron Resolve' from Fen and the 'Scout’s Sight' from Hops flare in her mind. Her pack was ready.

The main auction hall was a sea of corruption. Silas stood on the podium, sweating under his gold-embroidered robes, his eyes darting around the room. He had doubled the guard—heavily armored mercenaries with anti-magic shields—all on the lookout for a "maid in black silk."

He was blissfully unaware that the "maid" wasn't alone.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" Silas shouted, his voice cracking with greed. "The next item is the prize of the evening! A high-level Wolf-kin, fully suppressed and—"

The massive crystal chandelier above the podium shattered.

Fen dropped from the ceiling like a falling star, her heavy blade clearing a circle of guards in a single, brutal arc. Mochi and Hops blurred through the shadows, disabling the anti-magic pylons with the silver lobster picks Elara had sharpened.

Then, the doors at the back of the hall exploded inward.

Elara stepped into the light. Her black silk dress was torn at the thigh, her red lace g-string and spider-silk garters visible and unashamed. Her 'rolling pin' was still free, pulsing with a raw, terrifying energy that made the nearest guards drop their weapons in sheer, instinctive submission. Beside her, Lyra prowled, her daggers spinning in her hands.

"The auction is closed, Silas," Elara announced, her voice echoing through the vaulted ceiling like a death knell. "And I’m here to collect the debt."

The auction hall was a theater of chaos. Silas scrambled backward on the podium, his gold-trimmed slippers slipping on the polished marble as he tried to put the heavy mahogany desk between himself and Elara.

"Guards! Protect the assets! Protect ME!" Silas shrieked.

But his mercenaries were occupied. Fen was a whirlwind of gray fur and steel, her 'Iron Resolve' making her an immovable wall against their spears. Mochi was a blur, her laughter echoing as she used her shadow-step to tie the guards' bootlaces together, while Hops provided precision cover, tossing sharpened silver spoons with the accuracy of a sniper.

Elara didn't rush. She walked up the center aisle, her 'Predatory Charisma' acting like a physical weight that pressed the wealthy socialites into their velvet chairs. With every step, the red lace of her garter belt shifted, and the 'rolling pin' pulsed, radiating a heat that made the very air shimmer.

"Silas," Elara said, her voice dropping into that terrifying, calm tone of a maid about to scrub a particularly stubborn stain. "You’ve been overcharging on your 'shipping and handling' fees. It’s time for a refund."

Silas reached for a concealed crossbow beneath the podium, but Lyra was already there. The Ferret-kin blurred from the shadows, her claws pinning Silas’ hand to the wood before he could even blink.

"Master doesn't like it when people reach for things without asking," Lyra purred, her golden eyes fixed on Silas’ jugular.

Elara stepped onto the podium. She didn't use a blade. She reached into her garter and pulled out the Master Key Crystal. With a sharp, rhythmic thrum from her 'rolling pin' that resonated through her entire body, she slammed the crystal onto the mahogany desk.

"Release," she commanded.

The golden mana from her core surged through her arm and into the crystal. A shockwave of pure, white light erupted from the podium, sweeping through the room.

The effect was instantaneous. All across the hall, the purple, sickly glow of the enchanted collars shattered. Dozens of beastkin slaves blinked, the fog of suppression lifting from their eyes.

Silas watched in horror as his "inventory" transformed back into a room full of very angry, very liberated warriors.

"You... you’ve ruined me!" Silas wailed, clutching his chest. "That's millions in gold! My reputation! My life's work!"

Elara leaned over the desk, her face inches from his. The sheer proximity caused her 'Persistent Growth' to give a final, celebratory throb against the wood of the podium.

"Consider it a late-tax penalty," Elara whispered. "And Silas? Your 'Spring Collection' was tacky anyway."

She turned to the liberated beastkin. "The vaults are open. Take what you need to get home. The rest belongs to the Pride."

As the newly freed crowd surged forward to "renegotiate" their contracts with Silas, Elara stepped off the podium and into the arms of her pack. Her black silk dress was a ruin, her red lace was soaked in sweat and mana, but as she looked at Mochi, Hops, Fen, and Lyra, she’d never felt more 'Prim and Proper.'

"Mission accomplished," Elara panted, her heart finally slowing down. "Now... can someone please find me a fresh garter? I think I've officially ruined this one."
