That night, Su Jingsheng did not sleep.

She sat at the computer desk and worked desperately. Only work, only earning money, could save her life, which had fallen to rock bottom.

Only then could she give Duoduo a good environment in which to grow up.Full novel: Late-Blooming Sweet Marriage: Young Master Lu’s Deep Scheming Pursuit of His Wife — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Her time carried an extremely complicated significance; not a moment could be wasted.

The next day.

Su Jingsheng came to the company. Everyone had learned quite a bit, and she followed along, watching them. From knowing nothing at the beginning, she now had a general understanding of the entire production process.

A few days later, master had completed his mission and left their team.

Without master’s leadership, they seemed somewhat flustered, so Su Jingsheng called an emergency meeting.

Among them, only Hu Feng still had an accurate understanding of his own role. After all, his age and experience spoke for themselves.

Su Jingsheng looked at the notes she had made, then raised her eyes and swept them over everyone. “Since everyone has studied and improved, can you show me some results? After all, we have only two months left.”

One person raised his hand and said, “I think I can handle planning. From brainless mini-games to mobile games, as long as we have enough funding, I can design a game for everyone.”

At first, he had drawn the characters in the games.

“I think I prefer scene design.”

“I can handle quest design.”

…

After hearing everyone’s statements, Su Jingsheng looked at Hu Feng. “What about you, Manager Hu? Is there anything you would like to say?”

Hu Feng smiled. “To be honest, Manager Su, after studying for this month, I realized how narrow-minded I had been before. I only thought about making what I liked without considering the market. This time, I want to cater to the market. After all, what everyone likes is the right path. I… was too paranoid.”

Su Jingsheng nodded. “Good. Since everyone has found their own role, proceed according to what you said. From now on, our schedule will be as follows: create one game within a month, then spend the remaining month—or half a month—launching it on the market. I want to see the response.”

They did not have much time. They had to be fast.

From now on, they could truly rely only on themselves.

Hu Feng was puzzled. “Manager Su, isn’t this schedule too short? A game—even if we don’t talk about a large-scale one, just a small one—would take several months to make. Not to mention there are only a few of us. Two months is already the shortest possible time. Even then, we would have to work overtime day and night, in addition to recruitment.”

“No need.” Su Jingsheng shook her head.

“I observed things this month. Large-scale mobile games require huge investments and have already established themselves in the market. Even if we made one, we would not get a share. Ordinary games are too varied, and not many people play them. They are unsuitable as our comeback.”

“Then what does Manager Su want to make?”

Hu Feng realized that he could not understand this girl’s thoughts at all.

Her age and qualifications were clearly what they were, yet the things she said and the decisions she made were so convincing. He truly admired her.

“Mini-games. We can form a partnership with chat software Companies and put our games on their platforms. First, they already have a huge user base, so we will not need to find players ourselves. Second, people can play games to pass the time while chatting or doing something else. Our games will not require any thought; they will be entirely for passing the time, and they will also be easy to make.”

Su Jingsheng said solemnly, “At most, we have a month and a half. We need to find a company willing to form a partnership with us and make a Mini-game. I will find the company; you are responsible for making the game.”

Su Jingsheng took the most difficult task upon herself.

They had not even made a game yet, and they were still only a small company. Why would anyone want to form a partnership with them?

Whether they would even meet the person in charge when visiting to discuss a partnership was another matter. They might be driven out as lunatics.

Everyone understood how heavy the burden on Su Jingsheng’s shoulders was. Even if they had questions, none of them dared to speak. If a young woman could solve it, what could a group of grown men possibly be unable to solve?

They just had to turn on their computers and get to work.

“All right, plan out a game first. Tomorrow, we will discuss whether to implement it. Please remember, we do not have much time. Everyone, do not waste it.”

Besides, they could not afford to lose. They had to devote all their energy.

Worried that the last straw under such immense pressure would crush them, Su Jingsheng said no more.

“All right, let’s do this!”

“Enough talking. Come on, let’s start first and discuss what kind of game to make.”

…

Not long after Su Jingsheng returned to her office desk, a group of people suddenly rushed out, still holding paper and pens.

She looked over in confusion. Hu Feng held a teacup and explained with a grin, “The two of them want to create some mini-games aimed at different age groups. That’s why they went out onto the streets to conduct a survey. Also, Manager Su, please forward the messages in the group as well. It will make our survey more convenient.”

Hu Feng took a couple of sips of tea and also pulled out paper and a pen. “I’ll go out and look for some older people.”

For a while, she was the only person left in the company, watching everyone work with full enthusiasm.

Su Jingsheng smiled in satisfaction, picked up her phone, and forwarded their message. She sent it through every channel available.

All right, time to find a company for the partnership.

There were only two popular chat software platforms at the time.

Unfortunately, even the Su Corporation would have difficulty forming a partnership with these Two Companies, let alone them. But she had considered it: aside from these two apps, no software could make their mini-games wildly popular.

Even if it seemed impossible, they still had to try.

After looking up the address of the other company, she prepared to go there personally.

Her phone rang beside her. Without looking at it, she answered, then pressed the speaker button and continued working. “Hello, this is Su Jingsheng.”

“It’s me.”

A man’s magnetic voice came from the phone.

Su Jingsheng froze for a moment. “Is something wrong?”

“I left something at your apartment,” Lu Qingyu said.

“Don’t you have a key?”

“I lost it.” The man’s tone was calm, as though he saw nothing wrong with that.

A dark line flashed across Su Jingsheng’s face. Could he really lose the key to her home and act so matter-of-fact about it?

The clock in the corner of her vision showed that it was already half past twelve, which meant it was time to rest. “All right, I’ll be back immediately.”

“Mm.”

Lu Qingyu stood outside the apartment door, one hand in his pocket. In his palm was the key to the main entrance of the apartment.

He had originally been eating at a five-star restaurant, but he had no appetite in the face of such exquisite food. When the bowl of noodles Su Jingsheng had made flashed through his mind, he came over.

He had not expected her still to be working at this hour.

So he had called her.

Su Jingsheng grabbed her bag and hurried home immediately. On the way, she saw a place that made duplicate keys and had ten copies made at once. She would place them in various locations around the apartment; if one went missing, she could simply search outside the door when she wanted to enter.

She did not have time to deliver keys again.

She still had to take a plane in the afternoon.

On the way, Su Jingsheng traveled as quickly as possible. Fortunately, the traffic lights were green the entire way, and she encountered no obstacles.

A journey that usually took half an hour took her only twenty minutes.
