The absolute void of the divine realm hung suspended in endless space, cold, vast, and heavy with an unbearable silence.

At the center of a massive translucent obsidian table, Master Kaiser stood perfectly still.

His arms were folded neatly behind his back, his heavy metallic armor reflecting the ambient starlight, and his face concealed entirely behind his silent mask.Full novel: LEGENDS : Beyond the imagination — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Beside him stood the Protector God of Universe 7—a colossal entity whose very presence warped the light around his shoulders and radiated a quiet, suffocating gravity.

Arranged in a solemn semicircle around them were the representatives, war chiefs, and Protector Gods from all fifteen universes.

Such a gathering had not occurred in millennia.

The air vibrated with raw divine energy and unspoken dread.

“The massacres across the Powerverse are no longer isolated incidents of planetary rebellion,” the Protector God of Universe 7 spoke, his deep, rumbling voice echoing through the endless chamber like rolling thunder.

“Universes 3, 6, and 9 have reported entire planetary sectors wiped clean in a matter of hours. Millions of lives extinguished before an alarm could even be raised. I don’t think this is the work of an ordinary man.”

A heavy, uneasy murmur rippled through the gathered deities.

“He speaks the truth,” another Protector God added, stepping forward as his glowing eyes narrowed.

“The reports from the outer rim have been confirmed. Someone has already managed to kill the Protector God of Universe 5. A divine being has fallen. This level of slaughter requires a presence that defies our laws, someone capable of tearing through universe-level defenses as if they were wet paper.”

Master Kaiser’s masked head shifted slightly toward the council.

His voice cut through the nervous chatter with ice-cold precision.

“If a god fell without raising a realm-wide barrier, then we are not dealing with a modern tyrant. We are dealing with a relic of ancient history. Someone born from the eras of pure destruction.”

With a wave of the Protector God’s hand, the primordial archives of the high gods flickered to life in the center of the hall.

Glowing crimson script burned brightly in the dim light, revealing ancient records that had been sealed away for eons.

A single name hovered above the table:

DRAGESTA.

The mysterious, terrifying figure who had single-handedly brought an end to the third-biggest War of Destruction in history.

A warrior whose shadow was so dark it made even the immortal Protector Gods shift uncomfortably in their thrones.

Far below the divine council, deep within the earthly realm of Poweland, the air was hot, dusty, and thick with the scent of ozone.

Along the winding, rock-strewn path leading through the jagged valleys, three ten-year-old boys were marching with absolute, unbroken determination.

Tez, Sha, and Rihasa moved in a tight formation, heading straight toward the mountain estate of Frera.

The horrific memory of the slaughtered monks, the blood-soaked temple steps, and their captured instructor burned vividly in Tez’s heart, burying every lingering thread of childhood fear.

“Halt! Intruders on the eastern path!”

A harsh voice echoed from the ridge above.

Within seconds, a massive battalion of Frera’s heavily armed elite soldiers burst from the treeline, weapons drawn, surrounding the three boys in a tight circle.

The mercenaries, clad in thick steel armor and holding heavy battle-axes, sneered down at the small children.

“Look at this! Three little brats lost in the woods!” one soldier laughed.

“Did you stray too far from your mothers?”

“Get out of our way!” Tez shouted, his voice ringing across the clearing.

“Or what, little boy?” the squad leader mocked, raising his blade.

“Kill them!”

Before the mercenaries could take a single step forward, the three Legends exploded into movement.

Sha darted forward like a striking wave, his movement so fluid it left blur trails in the dirt.

He ducked under a heavy spear thrust, pivoted on his heel, and slammed his elbow directly into a soldier’s chest plate.

The thick steel shattered instantly, sending the 200-pound man flying thirty feet into the air before crashing into the timber.

Rihasa dropped low beneath a wide sword swing, grabbed two massive guards by their tactical vests, and slammed their heads together with a sickening crunch that shattered both of their iron helmets.

Tez drew his short dagger, the metal gleaming in the sunlight.

In a single, breath-taking second, he parried three simultaneous sword strikes with a fluid sweep of his blade, stepped into the leader’s guard, and delivered a front kick that blew two men straight back through a thick oak trunk.

BOOM!

CRASH!

The battle was over almost as soon as it had begun.

Dozens of elite, battle-hardened mercenaries lay scattered across the dirt, groaning in pain, their weapons broken and their armor caved in.

Tez stood in the center of the path, breathing heavily, staring down at his own trembling hands.

“We… we’re so much faster now. The monk’s training… it actually changed our bodies.”

“Yeah!” Sha grinned wildly, spinning his small trident around his fingers before catching it behind his back.

“These guys felt like they were moving in slow motion! They’re made of paper!”

“I didn’t even have to use ten percent of my power,” Rihasa boasted, cracking his knuckles and adjusting his knuckle braces.

“If Frera’s whole army is like this, we’ll beat them before lunch!”

Suddenly, the air went completely dead.

The wind stopped blowing.

The birds in the surrounding canopy ceased their singing instantly.

The sunlight above them faded as a massive, suffocating shadow began descending over the entire valley.

The ground beneath their boots began to vibrate, small pebbles bouncing frantically on the dirt road.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The earth cracked open like dry glass as a massive entity dropped out of the sky and slammed into the center of the battlefield.

A colossal shockwave tore through the clearing, ripping trees up by their roots and sending a blinding cloud of dust and pulverized rock sweeping across the path.

The boys shielded their eyes, coughing through the haze.

When the dust finally cleared, a towering, grotesque alien-like warlord stepped slowly out of the crater.

His skin was thick, scaled, and slate-gray, his eyes were tiny, yellow, and filled with pure predatory cruelty, and his massive, muscular frame radiated an aura of unbridled physical destruction.

His name was MIKA.

Every survival instinct inside Tez’s body screamed in absolute terror.

The air surrounding Mika was thick, hot, and smelled of charred copper.

The raw combat statistics radiating off Mika’s body revealed an unfathomable, terrifying reality—monstrous physical durability and destructive energy reserves known as Super Hyper Beams.

Sha’s confident grin vanished instantly, his face draining of all color.

Rihasa took an involuntary step back, his boots slipping on the loose gravel.

“Tez…” Sha whispered, his knuckles turning white as he gripped his trident with both hands.

“What… what in the world is that thing?”

Tez tightened his grip on his dagger, cold sweat pouring down his forehead.

“That’s no ordinary soldier… That is a true monster.”
