Miyako and I arrived at school hand in hand.
Breakfast was truly a simple kind eaten everywhere aside from places that didn’t eat pork.
The moment we stepped inside the classroom, everyone looked at us with strange smiles.
We smoothly—well, I smoothly led us to our desks.
Miyako was pushing herself behind me to block the amused stares of our classmates.
“What do you want to do for lunch?” I asked.
“I always hang out with my friends, is that okay?” “Hehe, of course.” I pinched her face and quickly released her.
Gently getting up, I added in a whisper, “Good girl, for asking for permission.” Miyako…
I don’t think I have to say it, right?
Class started way too damn quickly.
I wanted to keep teasing this adorable girlfriend of mine, but alas.
The teacher walked in and was about to start before the door opened again.
“Sarukomi.” “Yes, Hiratsuka-sensei?” “Come see me at lunch.” I raised an eyebrow, “Okay?” She chuckled, “You aren’t in trouble.
I have something I want to talk about with you.” My eyes went down, “Alright.
The faculty office?” “Where else would we meet, you idiot?” “Touché.” The class laughed lightly, while Hiratsuka-sensei left as quickly as she came.
“Mind if we get food after school?” “A light snack!
We can make dinner together after shopping.” “Sounds like a plan.” I sat back down, hoping for time to move quicker when I wanted it to.
As it turned out, class passed quickly, for all that’s good.
The lectures blurred into the background, and the moment the lunch bell finally rang, I parted ways with Miyako and made my way down the crowded hallways.
I found myself standing at the faculty office, navigating past the desks until I stopped right in front of Hiratsuka-sensei.
“So what’s the thing you wanted to speak about, Sensei?” I asked, pulling up a nearby chair.
She leaned back in her desk chair, exhaling a sigh as she looked at me with a serious expression.
“I need you to do me a favor.” “A favor?
What exactly can I do for you?” “It’s actually something only you can do right now.
Well, there is another student who caught my eye for this, but he’s a last-resort option.” “I see.
What’s up?” She tapped her fingers against her desk, dropping her voice slightly so the surrounding teachers wouldn’t overhear.
“There’s this club with a certain person in it, and I want you to try and help her out.” I didn’t even have to think about it.
“You’re talking about Yukino and the Service Club, aren’t you?” “What the?” Hiratsuka-sensei stared at me, her jaw dropping slightly.
“Are you psychic?” “No, Sensei.
Everyone knows about the club with only one student.
She’s literally one of the top three queens of the school.” “Are there really ridiculous rumors like that going around?” she muttered, rubbing the bridge of her nose.
“Before summer break, yeah.
But once we got back for the new term, it calmed down quite a bit.” “Interesting,” she murmured, leaning forward and locking her eyes onto mine.
“Anyway, will you do it?” I scratched the back of my neck, letting out a heavy groan.
“Do I have to do it today?
Miyako and I have a date planned after school.” Hiratsuka-sensei’s eyes widened instantly.
“Shikimori?
You two started dating?” “Yesterday!” I patted my chest a little smugly, letting a proud grin slip onto my face.
“Wow!
What did you two do after?” she asked, with seemingly all the interest in the world.
“Hm.
We had a cafe date, then she stayed the night at my place with her mom’s explicit permission.” “Wow!” I looked at her suspiciously, my eyes narrowing.
“Why are you acting like that, Sensei…?” A dangerous, mischievous smirk suddenly spread across Hiratsuka-sensei’s face.
“Since you want to rub your little romantic rendezvous right in my face, you can definitely do my favor today.
No excuses.” “Ugh.
Seriously?” I slumped against the back of the chair.
“And please tell me you didn’t betray her mom’s trust?” she added, her eyes turning incredibly sharp.
“You wouldn’t say that if you actually heard what her mother said over the phone,” I muttered.
“Ah.
She’s one of those mothers?” “One of those.” She sighed, her posture relaxing a bit.
“And you didn’t cross the line?” “Didn’t have protection for this specific instance,” I stated bluntly.
“Hah.
At least you’re smart enough to know that much.” I nodded in agreement, and a sudden silence filled the room.
The only sounds left were the low chatter of the surrounding staff and the buzzing of the copiers in the background.
Hiratsuka-sensei waved her hand dismissively.
“Just go get lunch.” Right on cue, the speakers hummed to life.
Ding dong~ “Great.
Lunch is officially over,” I deadpanned, staring at the ceiling.
“What do you take me for?” she laughed, puffing her chest out proudly.
“I’ll let your next teacher know you were held up.
Plus, no teacher in this building is going to tell you anything anyway.
That’s the power of being the number one student in the school.” “What about the student council?” “Don’t worry about those kids.
I’ve got it covered.” “Okay.” I stood up from the chair, turning around to head out the door.
“Wait, Sarukomi.” “Yes, Sensei?” I turned back around.
Hiratsuka-sensei reached into her desk drawer, pulled out a small square packet, and placed it directly into the palm of my hand.
‘Wow.’ All I could do was blink down at the small plastic wrapper in total shock.
[Choices have arrived.] 1.
Say the truth: “This is too small for me.” – random reward.
2.
Put down your pride as a man.
– random reward.
[…] ‘Where the hell is the “do nothing” option when it actually matters?!’ I felt a cold bead of sweat roll down the side of my face.
The sheer tension in the air was palpable.
“Sensei,” I began, my voice tight.
“No need to thank me,” she said, offering a smug, satisfied nod.
“T-This is way too small for me.” “…” “…” Hiratsuka-sensei’s face went through a terrifying cycle of emotions before settling into pure, unadulterated fury.
“Get out.” Her voice was dangerously quiet.
I didn’t need to be told twice.
I bolted out of the faculty office, running away as fast as my legs could carry me but at the very least, I ran away with my pride completely intact!
[Reward distributing.] [+ 1 inch to girth and length of your reproductive organ.] I stared at the floating blue text with a smile as I sprinted down the hallway.
‘Now it really won’t fit!’
