In the darkness, fierce winds swept through thick smoke as wails echoed from all directions, mingled with chaotic shouts and cries.

The surveillance screens were obscured by the smoke, preventing Jing Fu from seeing the situation clearly. He could only grab a pair of binoculars and head to the rooftop to observe.

On the rooftop, a sniper spotted him and gave a slight nod.Full novel: Little Zombie, You Dare to Be Fierce? A Sack Will Solve You. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Jing Fu raised his binoculars and looked toward the barbed wire fence.

Despite many landmines still unexploded, numerous zombies had already crossed the minefield and reached the fence.

The combat personnel behind the barbed wire fired frantically, the gunfire growing increasingly intense.

Looking further into the distance, he noticed that the zombies behind seemed to move with a kind of intelligence, stepping over the paths and shattered remains of their fallen companions as they slowly advanced.

More and more zombies pressed against the barbed wire fence, causing the supporting poles to creak and groan under the strain.

On the rooftop, the sniper also noticed the zombies’ unusual behavior.

“Jing Fu, something’s off. This zombie horde isn’t right!”

Jing Fu watched the slow-moving zombies in the distance, his expression grim. He picked up the walkie-talkie and spoke to the personnel at the fence:

“The zombies in front are yours. I’ll handle the ones behind.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a series of explosions rang out.

The unexploded landmines detonated one after another, blasting away most of the zombie horde behind.

Jing Fu had used his electromagnetic field to trigger the landmines.

The remaining zombies were scattered stragglers, and it wouldn’t take long to eliminate them all.

For now, the crisis had been averted.

Jing Fu breathed a slight sigh of relief and prepared to head down to help clear out the zombies.

Before he could leave, the sniper suddenly called out to him, his face pale with terror as if he had witnessed something horrifying.

“What’s wrong?” Jing Fu quickly raised his binoculars to look into the distance.

At the site of the explosions, thick smoke slowly drifted away, revealing large numbers of zombies lying on the ground.

But soon, he noticed something—the bodies of the fallen zombies were moving.

Even with half their heads blown off by landmine shrapnel, they were still twitching!

“How is this possible? Can’t we kill them by shooting them in the head anymore?” Despair flickered in the sniper’s eyes.

Jing Fu watched for a while longer and realized that the headless zombies weren’t actually alive—it was the zombies beneath them that were moving.

A zombie, its body drenched in blood but its head intact, crawled out from under its fallen companion.

Then two more emerged, followed by five, ten, twenty…

Not only did these zombies stand up on their own, but they also grabbed the corpses of their dead companions, using them as shields to protect their heads.

“Th-they… they’re intelligent! Jing Fu, if this continues, we…”

After the earlier defense efforts, the batteries powering the electric fence were nearly depleted, and the landmines were all used up.

If things continued like this, the school would inevitably be overrun.

Jing Fu’s hands trembled slightly as he held the binoculars. Finally, he rushed back to the monitoring room and turned on the broadcast system:

“Everyone, get to the vehicles immediately! Evacuate now!”

They weren’t dealing with mindless walking corpses—they were facing an organized, intelligent zombie horde.

Upon hearing Jing Fu’s command, everyone scrambled toward the garage.

Gunfire mixed with cries and terrified screams filled the entire school.

Using his supernatural ability, Jing Fu restored the three large vehicles to working condition, making them operational again.

The three large trucks were used for transporting goods, with ample interior space sufficient to evacuate everyone from the school.

As the sniper prepared to withdraw from the rooftop, he noticed Jing Fu was still in the monitoring room.

“Hurry up, everyone’s already on the trucks,” the sniper said.

Jing Fu shook his head and replied, “There are too many zombies around. You go first—I’ll clear a path for you.”

The sniper was taken aback, his gaze toward Jing Fu turning somewhat complex.

“Are you sure you want to stay?”

Jing Fu nodded. “Hurry and go. Any longer and it’ll be too late.”

Inside the monitoring room, Jing Fu watched as the three trucks drove out of the garage and headed toward the barbed wire fence.

Seeing the vehicles approach, the combat personnel who had been firing at the zombies behind the fence quickly jumped aboard.

Jing Fu announced over the broadcast system, “I’ll clear the way for you. Break through at full speed and don’t come back.”

The battery was nearly depleted, and without the suppressing fire from the combat personnel, the zombies pressing against the fence grew increasingly numerous.

As the electrified fence was on the verge of collapsing under the relentless onslaught of zombies, Jing Fu made his way to the generator and battery storage area.

Inside the trucks, some wept in despair, others whispered prayers, and a few complained about not having escaped sooner.

Just then, the barbed wire fence before them suddenly lit up, emitting a blue glow.

The blue light intensified, accompanied by a faint buzzing that assaulted their eardrums.

A blinding flash erupted, followed by a sharp, piercing sound as a crescent-shaped beam of blue light shot straight into the zombie horde.

Wherever the blue light passed, rows upon rows of zombies fell.

A gap opened in the heavily surrounded school, and the three trucks carrying everyone sped away, crushing the remains of zombies beneath their wheels.

Through his tablet, Jing Fu saw them depart safely and finally let out a sigh of relief.

He hurried toward the garage, but as soon as he left the generator room, his legs gave way and he collapsed to the ground.

He had miscalculated.

Using such a wide-range attack for the first time had drained his psychic energy and physical strength more than he could handle.

Was this where it would all end?

Jing Fu drew the gun from his waist and closed his eyes weakly.

It felt a bit unfair…

Just as his finger rested on the trigger, a voice suddenly spoke.

“I knew you’d be here.”

Jing Fu was startled. Looking up, he saw the sniper who had evacuated with the trucks standing before him.

“You didn’t leave?” Jing Fu asked in surprise.

The sniper, holding his rifle in one hand, hoisted Jing Fu onto his shoulder with the other.

“I thought you might need help. Looks like I was right. How do we get out of here now?”

Jing Fu: “…”

Sniper: “There must be a way. If all else fails, we’ll just force our way through.”

Jing Fu sighed and said, “Hand me the tablet.”

The sniper picked up the tablet from the ground and passed it to Jing Fu.

The surveillance feed showed that most of the zombies near the school were slowly chasing after the direction the trucks had taken, leaving plenty of gaps for them.

“There’s still a motorcycle in the garage. We can exit directly through the north gate.”

Upon hearing this, the sniper immediately carried Jing Fu toward the north gate.

“Slow down… I feel like I’m going to throw up.”

Sniper: “You’d better not vomit on my back, or you’ll be the one suffering for it.”

Jing Fu’s stomach churned from the jostling. He tried to hold it in but couldn’t resist, retching violently.

Sniper: “…”

Before Jing Fu could apologize, the sniper had already reached the garage and unceremoniously tossed him onto the back seat.

The sniper stretched his long leg and straddled the motorcycle, calling back to Jing Fu:

“Hold on tight. If you fall off, I won’t come back to save you.”

Jing Fu: “…”
