On the spacious desk, everything had been cleared to one side.
Milan spread out a map, which was the full layout of Chen Ping's territory.
And in the northeastern direction of the territory, a new area was delineated.
"Our sentinels discovered them during patrol."
"I personally investigated and found them to be a group of underground Lizardmen. Their current number is unknown."
Milan said, pointing to the map.
Chen Ping rested his hand on his chin, searching his mind for information on the underground Lizardmen.
After the Great Cataclysm, during humanity's resurgence, besides various natural disasters, there were also many hardships caused by fierce races.
The subterranean Lizardmen were one of humanity's adversaries, a branch of the subterranean races.
As their name suggested, this race resided entirely underground.
Lizardmen were one of their most famous troop members, with a typical race numbering between two hundred and five hundred.
Chen Ping estimated that the number of Lizardmen appearing around his territory should not exceed three hundred.
After all, it was an initial test; it couldn't be too difficult.
A well-trained human soldier could easily deal with three Lizardmen.
Most of these guys, apart from some high-level individuals, were relatively weak and easy to deal with.
"Do you have a plan?"
Chen Ping looked at Milan.
As his designated military leader for the territory, Milan had the authority to train and command the territory's army.
He also wanted to see how capable Milan truly was in this regard.
An S-rank Heroic Soul was too much of a waste to simply use as a bodyguard.
"The territory currently has 5 cavalry, 20 infantry, and 10 archers."
"All of them have corresponding professional skills, and their combat power is considerable when formed into a team."
"I will set up a defensive line north of the territory now, and then personally lead a team to scout the area."
Milan spoke, item by item, with great clarity.
Chen Ping thought for a moment and approved Milan's arrangements.
But then he added:
"After the magical brick refinery is established, I will first use the initial batch of finished products to construct the territory's city walls."
"At that time, you should feign weakness, draw out the main force of the Lizardmen, and lure them to attack the territory."
"We will defend from the city walls, and only after eliminating the main Lizardmen force will we explore their territory."
Chen Ping picked up a pen and drew on the map, and Milan's eyes lit up.
She picked up the magic stone Mail had left on the table and carefully sensed it.
This kind of brick, formed by the fusion of magic, possessed both physical properties and a certain degree of magic resistance, which was indeed excellent.
Although its pure hardness was not as good as granite, it was much sturdier than ordinary sintered bricks.
Chen Ping's territory did not have many stone mines, making this the most suitable building material at the moment.
She knew that Chen Ping was worried about unpredictable accidents occurring if they rashly invaded the Lizardmen's territory.
However, drawing out the enemy's main force to fight would give them a much greater advantage.
"Does the territory's army have the confidence to hold out?"
"Don't worry, no problem."
Milan assured Chen Ping, her tone full of confidence.
In fact, she believed that in the early stages of the trial, the strength of the soldiers in Chen Ping's territory was absolutely top-notch!
While others' soldiers were still struggling to master professional skills when everyone was at a Level 3 territory.
The soldiers on Chen Ping's side were growing rapidly, and some with good talent had even mastered multiple skills.
For example, the squad that was transferred and re-assigned as cavalry had all mastered the skills "Stamina Enhancement," "Physique Enhancement," and "Knight's Charge."
The first two were realized through daily training and breakthroughs, while the latter was learned after studying the textbook in the cavalry camp.
With Chen Ping's talent, everyone's progress was simply unimaginable to ordinary people.
Compared to the busy Farmers, the soldiers were practically idle, spending their days lifting weights and training.
Sometimes Milan herself felt it was quite unchallenging, so she wished to start a war with the Lizardmen as soon as possible.
Chen Ping smiled and waved for Milan to go scout for information first.
With Milan's individual attributes, this group of Lizardmen simply couldn't hold her back.
The Lord's Hall office returned to its usual quiet.
Chen Ping took out a booklet from under the desk, which was the one Max had given him, containing information about him.
It recorded who had purchased his information from Max.
Lu Fei, Wang Ke, Natasha, Chen Ya.
Max thoughtfully provided Chen Ping with a brief introduction to these four individuals' information.
Three of them were encountered in the Hall of Knowledge, and one was an old rival.
A faint smile appeared on Chen Ping's face.
He hadn't expected to be so closely watched; under Lu Fei and Wang Ke's information in the booklet, hostility was clearly marked.
Whereas under Natasha and Chen Ya, favorability was marked, Max was quite cautious.
"Lu Fei and Wang Ke both have family support behind them; they will definitely form forces in the early stages."
Chen Ping tapped his fingers on the desk, pondering about the first assessment in the future.
He ultimately decided to ignore it for now and focus on upgrading the territory to Level 5 before the first assessment.
By then, the territory's functions would be fully unlocked, and many things would be different.
And his knowledge system would also experience a small breakthrough at that time.
As for now…
"Hey, let's level myself up first."
