More than half a month after Susu moved into Xiao Fei's house, Xin Che received a call from Xiao Fei while at work. She said, "I'm with Susu at the hospital."
Xin Che's heart sank. "What's wrong with her?"
"Don't you know she's pregnant? I'm accompanying her to the hospital for an abortion. After much thought, I decided to tell you."
Xin Che was completely stunned and quickly asked Xiao Fei, "Which hospital are you at? Stall her for me, I'll be right there."
Xiao Fei gave him the hospital's information and added, "I can't stall her. Whether you make it in time depends on your fate."
Xin Che immediately drove to the hospital. When he arrived, Susu was still in the surgery waiting area. Seeing him, Susu was taken aback and instinctively turned to look at Xiao Fei. Xiao Fei, understanding the situation, said, "You two talk it out. I'll leave now."
Xin Che walked closer, squatted down, took Susu's hands, and looked up at her with earnest eyes. "Please, stop punishing me. I know I was wrong."
"What did you do wrong?"
"I was wrong because I can't make you believe me."
"Even if I believed you this time, you're always so busy with work. I've only been working for a year, and now isn't a good time." Susu didn't entirely disbelieve him. Moving to Xiao Fei's house was more about giving them both a chance to calm down and think separately. She hadn't expected to discover she was pregnant just a few days after moving in.
Xin Che continued to plead, "But you should have discussed it with me. Even if you had decided, I should have been the one to accompany you. Let's go home first, okay?"
After persuading Susu to go home, Xin Che grew increasingly angry the more he thought about it, his tone unconsciously hardening. "Even if you're still angry with me, you shouldn't be so willful. Making such a big decision by yourself? Do you really not plan on being together anymore?"
Seeing that he was angry, Susu didn't dare mention going back to Xiao Fei's house and started tidying the house herself. Several hours passed, and neither of them spoke to the other. Susu looked at the time and thought she might as well go to bed and talk to him after he cooled down.
As soon as she got into bed, Xin Che followed her into the bedroom, sat beside her, took her hand, and said, "I didn't do anything wrong, please believe me. I want this child, and I hope we can get married as soon as possible. As for work, leave that to me to handle."
Seeing his sincere expression, Susu also revealed her concerns. "Even if I choose to believe you this time, what about the future? When your novelty wears off, and with so many people liking you, plus your frequent social engagements. Besides, the company has already been gossiping that I was the third party who broke up your relationship, and now they'll be saying I'm pregnant out of wedlock."

Susu was caught off guard by his words. "So you're willing to give up your position as a Senior Executive at Da Hang for this child?"
He responded with a "Mm."
"You know I won't let you resign. I have a feeling now..." She smiled playfully. "President Xin, you're using all your over ten years of sales experience on me, aren't you?"
Xin Che couldn't smile and sighed, "You like me, but you don't trust me. You always feel like I'm plotting against you."
Susu's smile also faded. "I just want to ask you one thing: if I decide not to have this child, will you break up with me?"
"I'll be heartbroken, the kind of heartbroken that can't be consoled no matter what." After speaking, he leaned in and kissed Susu's lips. They had missed each other dearly after being apart for so long. As he leaned down, he sat up again, adjusted his breathing, and said, "I'll take you for a prenatal check-up this weekend.
