The atmosphere in the car was slowly twisting into something unexpected.
With Bel holding onto the tiny straw of hope in winning his heart over, she tried to remain positive and take it one step at a time.
” Take me to your world!
” She sounded crazy yet firm in her words, showing how serious she still was from the very day they had spoken.
He chuckled in amazement with his eyes shot, his handsome face shone in her eyes.
” You don’t understand what you are saying, you could be in danger…Bel.

” I get it!
You don’t need to worry…I can look after myself!
” She pledged, placing her hand on her chest.
” You don’t get it…” His cold voice rang, visibly pulling her down to earth.
” Yes I do!
Besides my father…” Bel trailed off from seeing his eyes opened; cold and menacingly staring at her.
” Yeah!
Your father is a big time businessman.
” He spat out, obviously not intrigued by that at the least.
” Well yes.
But…I was going to say, he doesn’t get involved in my life!
” Bel said feeling detached.
” Sigh…
what’s your name?
” She asked lowering her gaze, with her hair tuck behind her ears.
” Brandon…
Brandon Rymer!
” He officially introduced himself to her.
The words rolled out of his lips like they had gotten used to his tongue.
” Alright…Mr Rymer.
Make me your girlfriend!

What followed was his fascinated chuckle.
” You don’t have an idea what you’re getting into!
” He muttered with his eyes dull looking out towards the side mirror.
From his version of the story, he never remembers having any association with being a star or looked anything similar in such a way, still she had caught him.
And the funny thing was that she wasn’t a quitter!
” I promise if it turns out wrong, we can both go our ways.
” Bel suggested openly still willing to give it a try.
At this moment Brandon’s eyes was utterly cold and calculating.
He stared afar at a distance, coming to terms with what she was saying.
Though Bel wanted to keep persuading him to give her a chance, but she refrained from it, giving him this moment to think.
” I can’t promise you a proper relationship…” He breathed heavily after which his eyes narrowed.
” I…

” Wait…
” He cuts her off.
” Listen!
I can’t guarantee you will always be happy!
I got issues I need to sort out first that might affect you being with me…
” He explained before falling silent.
After a while he continued.
” Since you are going to be my woman, I will protect you!
But I can’t guarantee how much of my attention you will be getting.”
Bel listened to his words in silence, not anticipating such an outcome.
All she wanted was a chance to be with him, maybe understand the concept of love; loving the man who caused her heart to race when near!
Hearing his words, felt so much not the response she was expecting.
” I’m still going to say it.
I want to be your girlfriend Brandon!
” Bel insisted still.
” Why…our relationship can’t be like any others out there!
Still you are willing to go through with it?
” He asked in marvelled at her consistency.
Though he had been pushing her away; but this was different, his expression rigid along with his serious tone.
At that moment, Bel smiled at him; a sweet smile reaching the eyes.
She reached out for his hand, placing her small palms on his causing him to look at her.
” I want you Mr Rymer…either half or complete!
I wanna be with you.
”
Hearing her words, he relentlessly squeezed at her hand between his.
Bel wasn’t sure what she was getting into, but at least it was better to have him halfway than not; besides she wasn’t also certain she could keep a closed distance relationship after the year she had spent with Ken was a perfect example.
‘ if a close distance relationship couldn’t work, then maybe a far distance one might be what she wants!

Coming to terms with this, Bel nods her head with a smile on her face.
” I will be going out of the country next week!
” He said causing the smile on her face to diminish.
Was the victory short lived, wasn’t there supposed to be a date or?

Perhaps this was the last means of deterring her away.
Opening up about what to expect from him in their relationship.
” How long?
How long will the trip be?
” Sounding defeated, she tried to hide the disappointed look in her face.
” Never mind…
I will wait for you!
” Bel skook her head rein in the disappointed feelings and bouncing back, she stared at him expectantly.
Brandon chuckled seeing how tough she was acting before him.
He leaned in closer to her, his face just an inch from her.
” You are a very amusing pumpkin!
” He remarked with all his previous coldness devoid of his eyes.
” I will be sending you a text …I want you to come with me to an auction tomorrow?
” He proposed…
” I will text you the time and I want you to be ready…as for the dress…” He scanned her clothes, his eyes resting at her bare thigh.
” I have something nice to wear!
” Bel said hastily with her face turning red.
She looked away feeling shy from how his eyes were on her.
Brandon laughed at her act of timidness despite how much she had offered herself to him countless times.
She gulped, swallowing hard at the awkward feeling.
” So…I guess our relationship is official.
” Bel looked in his handsome face, a calm and relaxed expression clung to his feature with hope shimmering in her eyes.
” Well I guess I can’t shake you off!
” His voice became cold, giving an official consent to their relationship; all fully relaxed on his seat.
He held her hand, his eyes staring into the distance.
It wasn’t something he had anticipated, neither was it what both hearts wanted.
An incidental meeting causing undeniable sparks between them, resulting in them coming to a relationship.
She sat straight, looking out the car with her hands on his.
Bel didn’t know if to be excited or remorseful, hearing such a term of a relationship…
Still it was way better since she had conquered her fear!
Going after a guy and making him accept her; marking the start of her new relationship…
