Katie was agitated.
From her tone, one could say she hadn’t had a good sleep all through the night.
She was visibly drained of anything good or related to sleep from not seeing her best friend who had accompanied her to an outing.
Despite hearing from Bel who later informed her about her safety and whereabouts, Katie was still worried; like a mother would for her child.
Right now she was at Bel’s apartment, in her luxurious bedroom, where they were having a conversation.
Katie was meandering around the room clearly stressed, with Bel’s silence worsening her condition.
Last night, Bel arrived home late.
Causing her to sleep in late; despite the time being late!
She was still asleep when Katie came in.
Causing the help of the house to inform her of her friend’s presence.
” So…are you going to tell!
Or let me worry- to- death!?
” Katie threw a tantrum.
Expecting an answer from Bel who had just woken up from her sleep.

Sitting up in her bed and looking at her.

After spending three plus hours inside a cold room with freezing temperatures!?
” Katie spat out, visibly aggravated.
Last night, after waiting over three plus hours and getting no proper response from the receptionist, Katie started causing a scene!
A huge scene which attracted lots of attention from other customers leaving the hotel.
Seeing this outcome, the receptionist was forced to sort out the technical teams who helped in revealing the footage of a man carrying a girl out of the cold room.
Knowing that feats never helped in lessening Katie’s worries, rather it went up more.
First she didn’t know who the man was that got her out and where he was taking her; like what if he’s a bad guy?
And him taking her away could put her in more danger!
Secondly they couldn’t get a hold of the man’s identity!
Bringing another cause for alarm.
Though Steve did try using his means, still it was to no avail.
It was like the man was a touch- not- entity!
Causing the staff to refrain from spilling anything out about him.
Luckily, she got a call from Bel that same hour.
Informing her that she was fine and telling Katie not to worry anymore!
Girl…I can’t help but say.
Maybe we’ve run into bad stars or something!
” Katie said in premonition.
Sitting close to Bel who was still in her bed.
” Like who would want to harm you?
I can’t remember you causing any trouble with anyone…” Katie trailed off, with a look of comprehension dawning on her.
” What’s that Katie…?
” Bel asked, having her gaze fully on Katie who was quiet now.
” Ummm…I’m not certain.
But I thought I saw Ben yesterday!
Accompanied by that girl he’s seeing now!
” Katie said with a shrug, visibly uncertain of the words she was saying.
” I mean I was worried about you and I didn’t know if I was certain or not!”
” Oh..

” Bel sighed, placing a hand on her shoulder which caused to fall silent.
Finally noticing that since she had been here, all she had done was talk, talk and more talk!
” How are you now?
” She enquired.
Holding Bel’s hands and looking into her eyes.
” Katie I’m fine!
And nothing happened to me.
” Bel reassured her, before averting her gaze and checking the time.
” It’s ten already?
” She exclaimed.
” Yes…do you have any plans for the day?
” Katie asked absent mindedly, knowing her friend was fond of spending the time alone.
The next second, she stood up from the bed and ran towards the mirror and checked out her reflection.
This scene caused Katie to feel bewildered, seeing her friend who rarely showed interest in her looks; now staring at a mirror!
” Bel did you know the man that…

The scene before her eyes kept astounded.
Seeing her friend with loads of dresses on her arms from rummaging through her closet.’ Did spending a couple of hours in a cold room evoke strange and unusual feelings from anyone who had been there before?

Katie was utterly flabbergasted, sitting idly and watching Bel who dropped the clothes on the bed and looked at her expectantly.

” Bel said holding a dress up towards her body and looking at Katie.

” She was over the mood, feeling very high and elated!
Bel made a move towards her closet when Katie reached out for her.

What about life insurance…” Katie suggested, seamlessly without paying attention to Bel’s mood.

” Bel confessed, keeping her head down.

That look of someone keeping a secret.

” Katie narrowed her eyes, hoping for a better explanation to the strange phenomenon she was seeing.
” Ummm…it’s kinda like this….after leaving the cold room yesterday…I was ummm…”
” Bel you did leave the cold room.

” Katie pointed out, feeling aggravated from how she was getting tense with the news she was receiving.

” Bel finally confessed, knowing she can’t hide it from Katie who was like a detective woman, digging for the truth.
” What!?

” Katie exclaimed, feeling ecstatic.
Bel had been her friend for a long time, this friendship had made Katie very understanding of Bel’s personality and style causing Katie to be joyous over hearing about her friend’s encounter with her crush!

” Bel said coyly, with her face turning red while staring away from catching Katie’s gaze on her.
” Hahaha…oh my sweet and innocent Bel!
