Back in the cottage, good, nothing happened.
Jason sat up, the sun was beginning to rise.
Outside, the cinalt remained, in his hand, the cell phone.
Three missed calls, all of them Alex.
Jason dialed Alex.
“Jason, I’ve been trying to reach you.” Alex said on the other end.
“That’s why I’m calling you back.” Alex paused on the other end, “I need you to talk to someone, Jason.” Jason thought about the conversation he heard last night, had it happened?
He didn’t know.
“His name is Alan Fenris.
He’s a doctor.
He specializes in PTSD, addiction, and recovery.
I know you don’t like opening up, hell, I don’t either, but trust me.
I’ve talked to him myself, and he really does good work.” Another pause.
“I miss my brother.” Jason felt that same overwhelming confusion.
Dr.
Alan Fenris, that means he didn’t dream that much, but he also thought about those last words, Alex misses his brother.
So did I, Jason thought.
“I miss you too, brother.” Jason said.
Fuck it, take the chance.
“Send me his info, I’ll give him a call.” Jason reached for the note, or where he last remembers setting it.
Not there.
This only added to his confusion.
No, not going there again, Jason thought to himself.
As soon as Alex sent the message, Jason made the call.
