Sawamura Is a Good Person 20: Chapter 20: Mrs.

Sawamura Is a Good Person The class bell rang.

Sora sat in his seat, looking down at a sheet of paper in his hand.Full novel: Making Money in the Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It was a computer parts list he had gotten from Tomoya during break after spending about ten minutes asking questions.

Of course, he could have searched online and compared components himself to create a list that fit his budget.

But that would have wasted too much time.

It was far more efficient to ask someone knowledgeable directly.

Provided, of course, that they weren’t trying to scam you.

Besides recommending computer parts, Tomoya had also suggested several good cameras and video editing programs.

Thanks to a helpful classmate, Sora had saved himself a lot of trouble.

This weekend, he’d go buy the computer and camera.

Folding the paper, Sora pretended to place it inside his desk, while actually storing it in his inventory.

That would leave his savings nearly depleted, though.

The livestreaming project was difficult to predict.

He probably wouldn’t earn much during the first couple of months.

Before the channel could generate a stable income, he’d need a temporary source of money.

Fortunately, it wasn’t an urgent problem.

The apartment rent had been paid yearly.

The Identity Card had already covered an entire year’s rent, so he didn’t need to worry about housing expenses for now.

As long as he could earn enough money for food over the next two months, he’d be fine.

—— At noon.

Sora didn’t go to the rooftop.

That place was awful.

The sun was blazing.

Dust was everywhere.

There wasn’t even a place to sit, forcing him to squat while eating bread.

And since there were no trash bins, he had to carry all his garbage away afterward.

Instead, he went to the school cafeteria and ordered a standard lunch set.

The taste wasn’t bad.

During an afternoon break, Sora walked over to Megumi.

“Kato-san, have some gum.” “…” Megumi looked at him helplessly.

“Thank you, but I don’t want any.” “Just take one.

It’ll help keep you awake.

Don’t worry, I won’t ask you for another favor.” “…” Sora continued holding out the gum.

As though he wouldn’t withdraw his hand until she took it.

Megumi sighed.

In the end, she reached out and took a piece.

“Whew.

If you hadn’t taken it, I would’ve run out of strength holding my arm up.” “…” Megumi didn’t eat it.

She simply placed the gum on her desk.

Sora didn’t actually care whether she ate it.

All he needed was for her to take it from his hand.

“You can get back to reading.

I won’t disturb you.” Smiling, Sora left the classroom.

Megumi watched his departing figure with a puzzled expression.

Her presence had always been weak.

Whether in elementary school or middle school, almost nobody paid attention to her.

Forget starting conversations or trying to become friends.

She had long grown accustomed to being alone.

Yet this transfer student seemed different from everyone else.

Her low presence somehow didn’t work on him.

Megumi picked up the piece of gum and squeezed it lightly before placing it inside her desk and returning to her book.

—— After school.

Sora headed to the marketplace again.

“Takagi-san!

I’m here to help again!” “Oh, it’s Sora-kun!” After helping with the fish yesterday, Sora had formally introduced himself to the fishmonger, and the two now knew each other’s names.

The man’s name was Takagi Sakata.

An ordinary name that didn’t belong to any anime character Sora recognized.

After exchanging greetings, Sora skillfully tied on an apron, picked up a knife, and started processing fish.

There were plenty of customers today as well.

Having already discovered that larger fish dropped more money, Sora deliberately chose the biggest fish every time and left the smaller ones for Takagi.

Takagi didn’t mind.

A young man undergoing culinary training naturally wanted to challenge larger fish.

Half an hour passed.

Sora had already earned more than sixty copper coins, surpassing yesterday’s total.

As expected, large fish were much more efficient for farming money.

“Shopkeeper, I’d like this sea bream.” At that moment, Sora heard a somewhat familiar voice.

Looking up, he saw a young married woman.

She had facial features remarkably similar to Eriri’s.

She even wore twin tails.

The only difference was that her hair was purple rather than blonde.

Takagi smiled cheerfully.

“Certainly, ma’am.

One moment!” Sora had just finished processing his current fish.

Walking over, he picked up the sea bream.

“Takagi-san, leave this one to me.” “Hm?” The young woman looked at him curiously.

“Young man, isn’t that a Toyogasaki Academy uniform you’re wearing?” Sora nodded.

“That’s right.

I’m a student there.” The woman smiled.

“School should’ve just ended around this time, shouldn’t it?” “It did.” Lowering his head as he worked on the fish, Sora continued: “I came here right after school.” “Working a part-time job?” “Something like that.” Looking up briefly, he said: “You look very similar to a senpai I know.” “Oh?” The young woman seemed interested.

“Really?” “Yes.

Her name is Eriri Sawamura.

Are you perhaps her older sister?” “Hehehe…” The woman covered her mouth and laughed pleasantly.

“You certainly know how to flatter people.” “Was I wrong?” “I am related to Eriri, but I’m not her sister.” Smiling, she continued: “I’m her mother.” “Oh.

That’s impossible to tell.

I thought you were a recent college graduate…” Sora replied while inwardly confirming that she was indeed Sayuri Sawamura.

Still, didn’t their family have a housekeeper?

Why was she personally buying groceries?

Or was this simply a whim?

Sayuri stood nearby, watching Sora process the fish with obvious interest while occasionally chatting with him.

“The fish is ready, ma’am.” Sora handed over the bag.

“Please be careful.

Don’t get your clothes dirty.” “Sora-kun is very considerate.” Instead of taking the bag immediately, Sayuri pulled out a handkerchief.

Standing on tiptoe, she gently wiped the sweat from Sora’s forehead while smiling.

The air carried not only the scent of fish but also a mature and alluring floral fragrance.

Sora hesitated briefly before remaining still.

“Thank you.” “You really are a child.” Sayuri withdrew the handkerchief and looked at him with a mildly reproachful expression.

“If you’re truly struggling financially, you can tell Auntie.

There’s no need to waste your study time doing this.” She reached out and accepted the bag from his hand.

The moment their fingers touched— [Ding—] A familiar coin-dropping sound echoed in Sora’s mind.

Wait.

Married women can drop money too?
