Tang Chengye noticed the shifting gazes of the surrounding guests and hurriedly stepped forward to greet the group.

Mo Qi lowered his gaze and smiled faintly. “No need for your welcome. We’re merely here today to accompany our little sister-in-law. Should she face any bullying, we’re here to support her.”

Tang Chengye’s smile froze at the corners of his mouth. Bullied? A member of the Tang family being bullied in their own home—wasn’t this a slap in his face?

“You must be joking, Young Master Mo.”

“Whether it’s a joke or not, you would know best, Mr. Tang.”

Tang Chengye didn’t continue the conversation. Instead, he pulled Tang Wanning forward and introduced her, “This is my eldest daughter, Tang Wanning. She’s a year older than Qianluo and is already in her twenties.”

His words were so blatant that he might as well have announced, “This daughter of mine is ready for marriage!”

The group remained silent. Having been so eagerly promoted only to be shut out, Tang Wanning felt her face burn with humiliation.

Fortunately, the auspicious hour arrived, offering a brief respite for the embarrassed father and daughter.

Tang Chengye put on his practiced professional smile, took Tang Wanning’s hand, and led her onto the stage.

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the unveiling ceremony of the Tang Family Amusement Park. Since childhood, my daughter has adored amusement parks. Out of my deep affection for her, I promised to gift her one. Today, with its completion, that promise is fulfilled. Now, I declare—”

Suddenly, a commotion interrupted Tang Chengye’s speech.

“May I ask who among you is Mr. Tang Chengye?” The leading officer, clad in a sharp police uniform, demanded sternly.

“That would be me,” Tang Chengye replied as he descended from the stage.

“We’ve received reports that your amusement park fails to meet fire safety regulations and overall operational standards. You are hereby ordered to cease operations and cooperate with our inspection.”

Tang Wanning’s eyes widened in shock. She strode toward the police.

“How is that possible? All our operational permits are in order!”

“Additionally, we have evidence suggesting corrupt practices and bribery. You are required to cooperate with our investigation. Please come with us.”

Ignoring Tang Chengye’s livid expression, the officers escorted him out of the venue in full view of the crowd.

Tang Chengye gritted his teeth. He had been set up!

It was true that he had bribed officials, but he had been meticulous—there was no way he could have been caught unless someone had deliberately framed him!

“Qianluo, Qianluo, what are you still staring at? Father has clearly been framed! Quick, ask President Ning to save him!” Tang Wanning frantically grabbed Tang Qianluo’s arm.

Ning Dai swatted her hand away, shielding Tang Qianluo in his embrace, and sneered, “Care to guess who framed him?”

Tang Wanning stood frozen as if struck by lightning, her eyes filled with disbelief!

She stared at Tang Qianluo, who remained silent, and in her daze, she seemed to see a mocking smile on her face. She must be laughing at me, she thought, laughing at how I’ve become the biggest joke of the event!

Clenching her fists, she wished she could tear Tang Qianluo’s smug face apart.

Rage and adrenaline surged to her brain.

Kill her, now!

Tang Qianluo watched as Tang Wanning lunged at her. Reacting swiftly, she sidestepped to avoid the attack.

With a loud crash, drinks splattered across the banquet floor.

Amid the shards of broken glass, Tang Wanning lay sprawled in a pathetic heap, her arm cut and bleeding profusely.

Wan Qing, witnessing the scene, cried out urgently, “Someone, help! Call an ambulance, quickly!”

Blood mixed with red wine, staining the floor in a glaring, vivid crimson.“Ning Dai.” Tang Qianluo panicked as she looked at Ning Dai, wanting to cover his eyes.

It was too late! He had already seen everything!

The bulging veins on his neck, his violently throbbing temples, and the fine beads of sweat on his forehead—all spoke of his agony!

“Ning Dai, look at me, I’m right here!”

Ning Dai’s brows were tightly furrowed, his hands covering his ears as he let out a low, pained roar.

The surrounding guests had long been stealing glances, as if confirming their suspicions—the head of the Ning Family truly was unwell!

Tang Qianluo paid no mind to the onlookers. She pulled Ning Dai toward her and pressed her lips against his.

This was less of a kiss and more of a blockade—an attempt to stifle Ning Dai’s agonized cries.

At first, it was just their lips touching, then their tongues entwined.

Soon, even their teeth joined the fray.

Lips, teeth, blood—all tangled in chaos!

Ignoring the pain at the corner of her mouth, Tang Qianluo focused solely on bringing Ning Dai back to his senses. He was the most exceptional leader of the Ning Family—he could not afford to give anyone cause for gossip here, absolutely not!

Zuo Ye had taken out the tranquilizer, only to put it away again.

It was no longer needed. Ning Dai had already quieted down.

Seizing the moment of his calm, Tang Qianluo quickly took his hand and led him toward the Maybach parked outside the banquet hall.

The moment they settled into the car, Ning Dai pinned her down against the backseat. His left hand restrained her wrists above her head, while his right hand traced over her like a predator admiring its prey—from her cheeks down to her neck.

His fingertips were icy cold, and when they brushed against her neck, Tang Qianluo shivered.

“Ning Dai,” she called out softly.

Ning Dai’s eyes were tinged with crimson, as if blood might seep from them at any moment!

“Ning—”

Tang Qianluo’s cry was swallowed by Ning Dai’s fierce, invasive kiss. It was rough and domineering, leaving no room for resistance.

Pinned beneath him, Tang Qianluo could barely move. Her chest heaved with rapid breaths—she wanted to escape but had nowhere to go.

He gripped her chin, deepening the kiss relentlessly.

Tang Qianluo even wondered if she might die from this endless, suffocating kiss!

Finally, Ning Dai stilled. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, breathing heavily.

Tang Qianluo gasped for air just as desperately. That was close—she had almost thought she would become the first person to die of suffocation from a kiss!

After what felt like an eternity, Ning Dai pushed himself up. He lifted her chin with his hand, his gaze fixed on the broken skin at the corner of her mouth.

Tang Qianluo studied him in return—his deep, noble yet icy eyes, his unnaturally pale complexion from the illness, and the disheveled strands of hair on his forehead from their earlier intensity.

“I told you I wouldn’t let you hurt again,” Ning Dai’s voice was hoarse and low, tinged with what seemed like regret.

“The Tang Family wants to harm you. Should I make them disappear?”

A storm brewed in Ning Dai’s dark pupils, the ferocity in his brow so intimidating it made Tang Qianluo’s heart race.

She raised her hand, gently caressing his cheek. His jaw was tightly clenched, every pore seeming to scream with his rage.

“Ning Dai, don’t be angry. It’s Tang Wan Ning who’s hurt now, not me.At the thought of Tang Wan Ning’s embarrassing state, Tang Qianluo couldn’t help but laugh.

A bright smile spread across her lips, and seeing this, Ning Dai’s tense emotions finally began to ease.

You heartless little thing, he thought. I’ve been worrying myself sick over you, and here you are, laughing first.“The Tang family is Grandpa’s lifelong effort. I don’t want to see it disappear.” Thinking of that kind-hearted old man, Tang Qianluo couldn’t bear the thought.

“Alright.”

If others were to see Ning Dai like this, they would surely exclaim in disbelief: Young Master Ning, where is your bottom line? Where are your principles?
