An Omega who is not in their heat cycle actually has a fairly low libido; both their emotions and body find it difficult to produce a response.

Yet, perversely, under these circumstances, the bergamot pheromones rose with a metallic sweetness—feverish, scalding, and utterly out of control.

The man’s nose pressed against the Omega’s heated nape gland.Full novel: Married To My Childhood Friend: An Alpha Business Contract — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

In a low, hurried voice, he called out.

“Darling…”

The hot breath escaping from between his teeth sprayed across the surface of the skin, causing the pores to contract from tension.

A glistening dampness spread evenly across the neck, while the sound of a heartbeat stirred the feverish breaths.

Lu Siyan felt as though he were about to suffocate.

“There’s still a week left…”

The Omega lay with his back turned, curled into the Alpha’s embrace. His voice trembled, and his body shook involuntarily along with it.

The man tightened his arms around the other’s shoulders and neck, burying his head even lower, greedily inhaling the pheromones that carried a hint of invitation.

Sour-sweet lemon and citrus.

It made one unable to resist the urge to kiss and touch.

“Don’t be afraid.”

The man’s fingers tangled into the damp strands of hair on the Omega’s forehead, his lips pressed against the shell of the ear.

“Today… we won’t do it.”

He had to summon every ounce of his willpower to make such a promise to Lu Siyan to put him at ease.

For an inexperienced Omega, if the first time wasn’t met with full and sufficient preparation, the body could easily be injured.

Even though his own state had already reached its peak.

He had to endure it.

Lu Siyan’s face was flushed red. Hearing him say this, he subconsciously glanced backward. In the darkness, his obscured five senses were magnified.

Xiao Yanxiu’s physical changes were obvious—especially a certain spot, which made itself impossible to ignore…

Alpha: “Go to sleep.”

The Omega’s heartbeat thundered in his ears. He bit down hard on the bedsheets, his tensed body not daring to relax for a single moment.

The clock ticked away; every second felt like a year.

After an unknown amount of time, there was a slight movement from the person behind him.

Lu Siyan’s eyes snapped open, his spine stiffening. Just as he was wondering what to do, the man used his fingertips to gently lift Lu Siyan’s head and withdrew his arm.

He got up and went into the bathroom.

The sound of the shower spray echoed continuously.

The Omega tossed and turned, unable to find peaceful sleep, his gaze instinctively flickering toward the direction of the faint light.

He felt like he had waited for a long, long time.

If it were just a normal pre-sleep wash, it wouldn’t have taken…

He even found a moment to steal a glance at the time; a full half-hour had passed before the bathroom door was finally pushed open from the inside.

Lu Siyan’s spine went taut, and he quickly closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep.

After wiping the water from his body, the man lay back down in the bed. He was wrapped in a chill, yet his deep, shallow breaths remained scalding hot.

The Omega shivered from the cold in his arms.

While shocked that this man had actually showered with cold water, the body pressing close quickly made him realize that the “certain part” that had been so full of energy just now had eerily subsided a few degrees.

But it was still…

Lu Siyan bit the sheets tighter, becoming even more nervous.

Xiao Yanxiu’s body was actually perfect for cooling him down; otherwise, such feverish and helpless thoughts might have truly made him faint from suppression.

The Alpha knew he wasn’t asleep.

The man leaned in with a wicked smile: “I handled it myself.”

Lu Siyan “whooshed” as if burned by fire, struggling only to be pressed back into Xiao Yanxiu’s arms and held tightly.

The Alpha teased him intentionally, a low chuckle escaping his throat.

The Omega was no match for him in strength, but unable to swallow his resentment, he fiercely raised his foot to kick the man’s knee.

It was more like a kitten’s scratch.

The master bedroom was filled with the sound of his sticky, indistinct laughter all night.

By the latter half of the night, drowsiness took over. He drifted into sleep unconsciously, his mind tirelessly filled with all sorts of bizarre and kaleidoscopic dreams.

In the hospital, in the classroom, the pool, the flower fields—all kinds of play.

The images were hard to look at directly… yet they made his heart ripple.

The next morning, after being startled awake by a coffee cup that had been accidentally knocked over, Lu Siyan still guiltily and hastily reminisced for half a second.

Xiao Yanxiu was already up, washing in the bathroom. The man looked out and saw the Omega with scattered consciousness and a face full of “springtime color.”

“Awake?”

The abrupt greeting.

It felt as though he had been caught red-handed.

Lu Siyan scrambled out of bed: “You, you…” He wanted to ask, why are you up so early?

Xiao Yanxiu communicated with him perfectly: “There’s an early meeting on Wednesday. I have to go to the company.”

Lu Siyan didn’t have many classes these few days, and his part-time job was light.

Thinking he should do something—since he couldn’t just take advantage of someone else in this marriage for nothing—he took the initiative.

“Have you picked out the clothes you’re wearing today?”

“If not, I’ll…”

The corners of Xiao Yanxiu’s eyes tilted up: “I haven’t.”

Lu Siyan grabbed a shawl to wrap around himself: “Then I’ll go pick them for you.”

The Omega had wanted to do this from the moment he walked through the door yesterday. Coffee and Cola followed at his heels.

The door to the hidden walk-in closet was pushed open.

For an outfit, there needed to be a shirt, vest, suit jacket, trousers, tie, watch, shoes and socks, pocket square, cufflinks…

Lu Siyan selected them one by one with care.

Every accessory that touched his hands seemed to take on the most authentic and dignified appearance it would have when finally worn by Xiao Yanxiu.

The Omega draped the chosen clothes over his forearm, his fingers holding a watch strap and a small handkerchief.

As he was backing up, his shoulder suddenly bumped into someone.

Xiao Yanxiu had entered at some unknown point and was standing right behind him.

Lu Siyan stumbled half a step; the things in his hands fell to the floor with a “clatter,” and he began to fall forward as well.

Xiao Yanxiu was quick, reaching out to catch him, grabbing him steadily and holding him firmly in his arms.

“Playing that little game of ‘hard to get’ again?”

If it wasn’t blushing, it was being clumsy in a way that pulled at one’s heartstrings, leading to various accidents and physical contact…

It made it seem as if the Omega were doing it on purpose.

“It’s clearly because you appeared so suddenly.”

Feeling wronged, Lu Siyan retorted with annoyance.

The color of his ears burned brighter than the most authentic maple red.

Xiao Yanxiu was a man with a “bad heart”; in their daily encounters, he couldn’t go without teasing him at least once.

Lu Siyan pushed the man away and ran downstairs, but after two steps, he turned back, picked up the clothes dropped on the floor, and stuffed them into the Alpha’s hands.

“Dress yourself.”

“I’m going to see the breakfast the auntie prepared.”

If he were half a step later, he feared he’d be grabbed back by the ear.

Having escaped the room, the Omega finally managed a breath.

Every minute and every second spent with Xiao Yanxiu made his heart throb so much he felt he might die.

When Lu Siyan went downstairs, he saw that Xiao Yanxiu’s daily diet was Western-style. He wasn’t used to it, so he boiled a pot of vegetable porridge.

In the middle of cooking, someone knocked urgently on the door. The Omega hurriedly put down his spoon, and before he could open it, he heard continuous shouting.

“Xiao Yanxiu, Xiao Yanxiu…”

He pulled the door open. The man outside was caught off guard, nearly knocking Lu Siyan on the head with his fist.

His gaze swept over him: thin pajamas plus a shawl, rabbit slippers, messy hair, and eyes heavy with sleep.

He didn’t look like a hired servant.

Shen Zhiyan hesitated: “And you are?”

Lu Siyan was embarrassed to say he was Xiao Yanxiu’s spouse, so he stammered to change the subject: “Are you looking for Xiao Yanxiu? I’ll go call him.”

The Alpha happened to be adjusting his cuffs as he walked to the staircase.

“No need to look.”

“Shouting first thing in the morning, are you trying to summon my soul?”

Shen Zhiyan squeezed through the door without changing his shoes, acting very casually—clearly more than just an ordinary friend.

“Brother, I’m surprised you could even sleep.”

“Who was that little Omega who just opened the door for me? You’ve got quite the appetite, playing the ‘golden house for a hidden mistress’ routine?”

Seeing them talking, Lu Siyan consciously avoided them and returned to the kitchen to arrange breakfast, even preparing clean utensils for Xiao Yanxiu’s friend.

The two Alphas stood tall, their physiques comparable, their looks each having their own merits—both were top-tier handsome men.

The Omega could vaguely hear their conversation; they were mostly talking about the R&D and production of medical equipment.

Shen Zhiyan’s topic looped around and returned to Lu Siyan. Xiao Yanxiu said something to him.

The Alpha suddenly raised his voice: “Then what about your childhood sweetheart ‘White Moonlight’…”

Before he could finish, his mouth was covered.

Xiao Yanxiu immediately turned back to check, but unexpectedly, a crisp sound of shattering porcelain followed from the kitchen.

The entire earthenware pot Lu Siyan was using for the porridge had fallen to the floor.

Xiao Yanxiu’s pupils contracted. Just as he was about to enter, the Omega suddenly shouted in a sharp voice: “Don’t come in!”

His posture of resistance was very obvious; this was not a time for a couple to play flirtatious games.

The scald marks on the back of his hand were also quickly covered up, as he didn’t want Xiao Yanxiu to see.

Shen Zhiyan, having no sense of the atmosphere, followed him in: “Your hand…”

Xiao Yanxiu drove him out.

Though he was always proactive and assertive, he also knew boundaries.

Lu Siyan slowly cleaned up the mess in the kitchen. Auntie Liu was sent by Xiao Yanxiu to help, and the two Alphas stood far off, both shutting their mouths and remaining silent.

Thinking back, their contract marriage was inherently…

The Omega knew he had no grounds to be sad, but hearing those three words—”White Moonlight”—so suddenly, all the panic and little feelings from last night turned into a resounding slap.

Hard across his own face.

What exactly did Xiao Yanxiu take him for? Why was he so good to him? Was it fun to toy with people?

Or was he a substitute, a pastime during a gap period, or at the very least, a shield used to deal with a marriage engagement.

Once the “White Moonlight” returned, he would have to obediently give up his spot.

The Omega cleaned the kitchen with a very low mood. Shen Zhiyan urged the Alpha to go to the company to handle cooperation details.

But Xiao Yanxiu was worried and didn’t leave for a long time.

The man didn’t know why the Omega’s emotions had fluctuated so violently all of a sudden, and he was also worried about the injury on the back of his hand, but he couldn’t bring it up directly.

So he followed him step by step, staying close as Lu Siyan moved back and forth.

Lu Siyan nearly bumped into Xiao Yanxiu several times. Annoyed, he pushed the man: “What are you following me for?”

Seeing that he was finally willing to talk, Xiao Yanxiu breathed a sigh of relief, lowering his head to coax him softly.

“I have to go to work now.”

“My friend is here; won’t you see me off?”

Lu Siyan put down his napkin, looking like he planned to give him enough face in front of an outsider and perform the duties of a contract spouse.

The Alpha pushed his luck: “It would be even better if I got a morning kiss.”
