Pregnant?

Ever since Gao Linzhou had been diagnosed as someone unable to have children, he had gone through a long period of pain and self-doubt. Now, hearing Jiang Ning say it so casually, his emotions were extremely complicated.

“Ningning… are you sure I can—?”Full novel: Marrying the Childless Commander? The Capitalist Heiress Breaks the Curse with Quadruplets — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He didn’t finish the sentence, afraid she would be upset.

Jiang Ning shook her head firmly.

“Whether you can or not, you are not allowed to mistreat your body. Come here and sleep with me.”

She sat up and pulled the stunned Gao Linzhou toward her, lifting her head to kiss him.

“I like it when you mess with me.”

Those words instantly deepened Gao Linzhou’s gaze. He could no longer hold back and pressed forward, kissing her with growing intensity.

The atmosphere between them turned tender and heated.

Meanwhile, at the Jiang family old residence, chaos had erupted.

“Dad! My money! My 38,888 yuan! I’m going to take it back from that bitch Jiang Ning right now!”

Zhou Yaozu smashed the tea table in anger.

“This is intolerable! She toyed with us like we were monkeys—how can we swallow this insult?”

Wei Yurou was shaking with rage. Not only had her jewelry disappeared, but Jiang Ning had also escaped their control, and their poisoning plan had completely failed.

Zhou Changxun’s face darkened with malice.

“Tomorrow, I’ll personally drag her back. She must spit out everything she took.”

His heart ached—those Jiang family treasures were supposed to be their ticket to a life abroad.

“Dad, I have a plan that can get rid of both Jiang Ning and Gao Linzhou quickly.”

Zhou Xue’s eyes flashed with vicious light.

“What plan?”

Wei Yurou immediately turned to her.

“It would be best if they divorce tomorrow.”

“Do you remember Liu Qiang from the Revolutionary Committee? His son Liu Jiabao is a notorious lecher. He has ruined countless girls already.”

“If we send Jiang Ning to his bed, do you think Gao Linzhou would still want her?”

Zhou Xue sneered.

“And not just him—Liu Jiabao’s fierce wife Zhu Xia won’t let her go either. When Jiang Ning is ruined, we step in to help, frame Gao Linzhou for treason, and also pin the job scandal on him.”

“Three birds with one stone.”

The others fell into thought.

Zhou Changxun nodded slowly.

“As long as Gao Linzhou abandons her, everything becomes easier.”

“But that Ninth Master Shen…”

Zhou Xue’s expression turned cold.

“That old man? If he insists on protecting her, then we’ll accuse him of treason too. Send them both to eat bullets.”

Her hatred for Jiang Ning was burning.

Why should Jiang Ning, the legitimate daughter, be adored by everyone, while she lived in the shadows as an illegitimate one?

“Alright. Do it your way.”

Zhou Changxun patted her shoulder approvingly.

That night, the Zhou family plotted until dawn.

The next morning.

Gao Linzhou kissed Jiang Ning on the lips before reluctantly leaving for the army after a night of lingering affection.

Zhang Hu and Zhao Long had already eaten breakfast and were busily cleaning the house, terrified of doing anything wrong and being kicked out.

After Gao Linzhou left, Jiang Ning also stepped out.

As expected, Zhou Xue had already hired four local thugs—men who did dirty work for money. In this era without surveillance, kidnapping was as easy as putting a sack over someone’s head.

They hid near the entrance of the Jiang residence, waiting.

Jiang Ning, however, already knew what was coming.

She wanted exactly this—forcing the Zhou family into a desperate move so she could eliminate them all at once.

After breakfast, she dressed in a red dress and black leather shoes, looking bright and striking before stepping out.

She even instructed Zhang Hu and Zhao Long to follow from a distance through the back door.

As expected, the moment Zhou Xue saw her, she could no longer suppress her hatred.

“Jiang Ning… today is your death day!”

She waved her hand.

The four thugs immediately rushed forward.

One of them drooled as he stared at her.

“Damn… she’s gorgeous…”

“Shut up! I didn’t pay you to admire her—get to work!” Zhou Xue snapped.

The men snapped back to focus and surrounded Jiang Ning.

She smiled lightly, eyes bright and fearless.

“So… which leg do you want to break first?”

Her calm tone made them hesitate.

Zhou Xue sneered.

“You’re still pretending? With that little body of yours, you think you can escape my grasp?”

“Dream on!”

Her expression turned ferocious.

“Today, I’ll make you wish you were dead.”
