A new chapter is up.

Come in, get comfortable, and let’s see what kind of trouble waits this time ❤️ ✦ “Beautiful.” Excitement flashed across Mason’s face.

Tony’s success was his success.Full novel: Marvel & DC: Nexus Breach — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The summoned participants could earn rewards inside the invaded world, but Mason received those same rewards with a hundredfold amplification.

Tony had received a safe T-virus Enhancement.

Of course Mason would receive one too.

This was what winning from the couch looked like.

[Ding.] [Summoned participant Black Widow has earned 100 points…] [Hundredfold amplification in progress…

Host receives 10,000 points.] [Summoned participant Iron Man has received T-virus Enhancement…] [Hundredfold amplification in progress…

Host receives Perfect T-virus Enhancement.] “Is this it?” Mason leaned forward with open anticipation.

A vial floated in midair, glowing softly.

Within the brilliant particles, light seemed to flow like a river of stars.

Compared with this, Tony’s reward looked like a cheap imitation.

The points flashing across the screen were nice, but this was the treasure Mason truly cared about.

Perfect T-virus Enhancement.

“Finally.” “I can stop being dead weight.” Mason clicked his tongue.

The memory of Tony convulsing in pain made him wince, but his hunger for power won out.

If he had a chance to become stronger, he was not going to stay helpless.

[Use item?] Mason grabbed the vial, gritted his teeth, shut his eyes, and drank it.

The liquid was clear and cool on his tongue.

The pain he expected never came.

Instead, warmth spread lazily through his body, like soaking in a hot spring while snow fell outside.

“Huh?” “No pain?” Mason looked up in surprise.

“So that’s the perfect version.

It removed the side effects.” The answer settled in his mind.

His genes and cells were quietly transforming.

The comfortable warmth made him stretch.

Compared with Tony, who had been drenched in sweat and gritting through agony, Mason looked as if he had taken a harmless supplement.

But the fullness in his body told him the transformation was very real.

He flicked a playing card from his hand.

The card cracked through the air with a sharp sonic snap, flying forward like a bullet.

It struck concrete with a dull impact.

The paper card buried itself deep into the surface, leaving only one corner exposed.

And the increase in raw strength was the least important change in him.

When Mason looked outside, he could see the pattern on a mosquito’s wings hundreds of meters away.

The entire world seemed to move in slow motion.

It was more extreme than bullet time, and it felt permanent.

“So anything in my hand can be a weapon now?” Mason had not expected to experience something like that himself.

His strength and reaction speed had been rebuilt from the ground up.

Compared with before, he was almost an entry-level superhuman.

If Tony’s transformation had pushed an ordinary man to the edge of Level Three mutant strength, Mason felt solidly within that range.

More than that, he had a feeling that once his cells and genes finished reorganizing, he might be able to stand near the threshold of Level Four.

Compared with the helpless ordinary person he had been, this was a leap straight into the superhuman ranks.

“Don’t get cocky.” “This is a superhero universe.

There are still plenty of monsters and walking disasters out there.” Mason forced down the joy on his face.

“This much power still isn’t enough.” It was only the beginning.

Exactly.

Only the beginning.

The Multiverse Invasion System had barely started, and he had already left his powerless civilian life behind.

With the T-virus Enhancement, he at least had some ability to protect himself in Hell’s Kitchen.

He no longer had to worry that stepping outside would get him dragged into an alley and killed.

Who knew what other abilities the superheroes would earn later?

After a hundredfold amplification, Mason’s gains would be terrifying.

Compared with the heroes risking their lives in invaded worlds, he was the real winner sitting behind the scenes.

“Next…” “What will it be?” Mason looked back toward the live broadcast, expectation rising in his eyes.

For the first time, the future felt wide open.

…

Bootsteps echoed through the corridor, growing closer.

Natasha and the others had arrived.

The atmosphere around the group, however, had become strangely awkward.

Tony was still absorbed in the power of his T-virus Enhancement.

He kept testing himself against zombies and Lickers in close combat, like a child who had just received a new toy.

Shade watched them with a complicated expression.

What kind of monsters were these people?

The soft-looking rich boy could crush zombies and Lickers head-on.

Having terrifying firepower was one thing.

Being that dangerous in close quarters was another.

And Black Widow, whom Shade had mistaken for a pretty decoration, was no delicate ornament at all.

She was a carnivorous flower.

From the way those agents fought zombies, they were nearly on par with his mercenaries.

Since when did the organization have people like this?

“Intelligence liaisons?” “What kind of intelligence liaisons are these?” Shade’s mouth twitched.

For a moment, he wondered whether reality had lost its mind.

The mercenaries behind him had been humbled into silence.

Every one of them stared at the floor as if their shoes had become fascinating.

“Careful.” “We’re almost there.” Shade forced down his unease and shook his head.

At least Tony’s strength made the operation safer.

With him blocking the Lickers, the team’s risk had dropped dramatically.

“Ahead is the hidden entrance to the lower facility.” “Once we enter the laser corridor, we can reach the deepest level.

The Red Queen is inside.

If we shut her down, our mission is complete, and the company will handle the rest.” “Stay sharp.” Beyond the turn lay a long, narrow corridor.

Its smooth walls were made of a special alloy developed by Umbrella, strong enough that even Lickers could not easily damage it.

The silver-white surface gave off a cold technological sheen.

[Ding.] [Side Mission: Laser Corridor.] [Only one path remains to the lowest level of the base.

Originally Umbrella’s high-tech defense system, it has now become a barrier protecting evil.

The route looks simple, but invisible killing mechanisms are hidden within.] [Pass through the laser corridor as quickly as possible.] [Reward: Unknown.]
