Three long years had passed since the tragic plane crash that took the lives of Richard and Mary Parker.

Three years.

To most people, time slowly erased pain.

But for Peter Parker…

Some wounds never truly disappeared.

The memories still remained crystal clear inside his mind.

The last hug from his mother.

The proud smile on his father’s face.

The feeling of waiting for them to come home…

Only to learn they never would.

Even now, despite the passing years, there were nights when Peter still woke up suddenly from dreams of them calling his name.

And every single time…

Reality hurt all over again.

Yet life continued moving forward no matter how painful things became.

Queens slowly changed with time.

Seasons came and went.

Snow turned into rain.

Rain turned into sunshine.

And little by little…

Peter himself changed as well.

Not only emotionally.

But physically.

His powers continued growing every single day.

At first, the changes had been small.

Enhanced strength.

Sharper hearing.

Better eyesight.

Faster reflexes.

But now…

After years of constant growth, Peter had become something truly abnormal.

Something far beyond human.

Fortunately, he had also become better at controlling himself.

At least…

Most of the time.

Early in the morning, sunlight slowly entered Peter’s bedroom through the curtains while soft winds brushed against the window.

The peaceful sounds of New York waking up echoed faintly through the distance.

Peter slowly opened his eyes.

For a few moments, he simply stared silently at the ceiling above him.

Then he sat up.

The bed creaked slightly beneath him.

Peter immediately noticed it.

Even now, after years of practice, controlling his strength required constant focus.

Every movement.

Every step.

Every touch.

One careless mistake could seriously hurt someone.

That fear never truly left him.

Peter slowly stretched his arms upward before standing up from bed.

At seven years old, he looked mostly normal from the outside.

Messy brown hair.

Slim body.

Gentle eyes.

An ordinary child.

But hidden beneath that ordinary appearance was enough strength to tear steel apart accidentally.

Peter walked toward the mirror quietly and stared at his reflection.

Sometimes…

He wondered if he would even remain human forever.

His hearing had already become frighteningly powerful.

His eyesight kept improving.

His body never seemed to get sick anymore.

And every month, his strength increased little by little.

It scared him sometimes.

No.

It scared him a lot.

Peter slowly closed his eyes.

Taking a deep breath, he began calming himself exactly the way Uncle Ben had taught him years ago.

“Inhale slowly.”

“Control your emotions.”

“Control your breathing.”

“Control yourself.”

Peter repeated the words mentally.

Almost like a ritual.

A habit formed through fear.

For several minutes, he remained completely still while focusing on his heartbeat.

Slowly, the overwhelming sensations around him faded into the background.

The distant traffic.

Birds outside.

Voices from neighboring apartments.

Everything became quieter.

Peter finally opened his eyes again.

Much better.

A small smile appeared on his face.

“Getting better…” he whispered softly.

After changing clothes, Peter walked downstairs toward the kitchen.

The familiar smell of breakfast instantly reached him.

Pancakes.

Eggs.

Coffee.

Warmth.

Home.

The moment Peter entered the dining room, he saw Aunt May and Uncle Ben already sitting near the table while waiting for him.

Aunt May noticed him immediately.

“Peter Parker,” she said while placing her hands on her hips dramatically.

“You’re late again.”

Peter rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

“Sorry, Aunt May.”

May sighed helplessly, though affection was clearly visible in her eyes.

“Come eat before everything gets cold.”

Peter smiled softly.

“Okay, Aunt May.”

He quickly walked forward before carefully sitting down at the table.

Carefully.

That word had become part of his entire life.

Even sitting down required control now.

The chair barely creaked beneath him.

Success.

Peter internally celebrated the small victory.

Ben noticed immediately and smiled proudly.

“Nice control.”

Peter grinned slightly.

“Thanks, Uncle Ben.”

May began serving breakfast onto Peter’s plate while shaking her head.

“You two talk about controlling strength like you’re discussing homework.”

Peter and Ben awkwardly avoided eye contact.

Because technically…

For Peter, it really was homework.

A dangerous kind of homework.

Soon the three of them began eating breakfast together peacefully.

Outside, the city continued waking up while sunlight illuminated the snowy streets of Queens.

For a while, the atmosphere felt calm.

Normal.

Peter loved moments like this.

Moments where he could almost forget he was different.

Almost.

May looked toward Peter curiously.

“So,” she asked warmly, “how’s school going?”

Peter swallowed his food before answering.

“It’s okay.”

“Just okay?” Ben asked with amusement.

Peter shrugged slightly.

“It’s school.”

Ben laughed loudly.

“Fair enough.”

Peter smiled faintly before continuing.

“Gwen and Mary Jane have been spending a lot of time together recently.”

May smiled knowingly.

“Oh?”

Peter nodded.

“They’re trying to make their own singing group.”

Ben nearly choked on his coffee.

“A singing group?”

Peter nodded again.

“Yeah.”

A small amused smile appeared on his face.

“They’ve been practicing during lunch breaks.”

May looked interested immediately.

“Are they good?”

Peter thought for a moment.

“…Actually, yeah.”

Ben raised an eyebrow dramatically.

“Wow.

That’s surprisingly honest.”

Peter frowned.

“I’m always honest.”

Ben snorted.

“That’s exactly what suspicious people say.”

Peter immediately looked offended.

“I’m only eight!”

“Suspiciousness has no age limit.”

May laughed softly while Peter crossed his arms.

After a few moments, Peter continued speaking.

May blinked.

“Oh?”

Ben smirked instantly.

“You gonna become a superstar, Pete?”

Peter groaned dramatically.

“No.”

“Why not?” May asked gently.

Peter shrugged again.

“I told them maybe after a few years.”

He looked down at his plate quietly.

“Besides…

we’re only kids.”

Ben leaned back slightly.

“That’s never stopped kids before.”

Peter smiled faintly.

That was true.

Mary Jane was energetic enough to turn anything into a performance.

Meanwhile, Gwen approached everything with surprising seriousness despite being a child.

The two somehow balanced each other perfectly.

And for some reason…

They both always dragged Peter into their ideas.

Not that he truly minded.

Being around them helped him feel normal.

Helped him forget the fear inside him sometimes.

May noticed Peter smiling slightly and exchanged a subtle glance with Ben.

Seeing Peter slowly making friends again relieved them deeply.

After his parents’ deaths, Peter had isolated himself emotionally for a long time.

But Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane Watson somehow managed to pull him back toward happiness little by little.

Even if Peter himself didn’t fully realize it yet.

Ben suddenly placed his coffee cup down before speaking more seriously.

“Peter.”

Peter immediately looked toward him.

Ben’s expression softened.

“Remember something important.”

Peter straightened slightly.

“The most important thing for you right now…” Ben continued carefully, “…is controlling yourself.”

The atmosphere immediately became quieter.

Peter lowered his eyes slightly.

He understood exactly what Ben meant.

Not school.

Not grades.

Not friends.

His powers.

Those always came first.

Because one mistake could destroy everything.

Peter quietly nodded.

“I know.”

Ben looked directly into his eyes.

“No matter how strong you become, you can’t lose control.”

Peter clenched his fingers slightly beneath the table.

He remembered the accidents from the past.

The broken walls.

The shattered dishes.

The time he accidentally cracked the sidewalk while running.

The terrifying moment when he almost hurt another student without meaning to.

Even now, those memories haunted him.

“I’ve been practicing every day,” Peter said quietly.

May smiled gently.

“We know.”

Peter looked toward her.

May reached over and fixed part of his messy hair lovingly.

“And you’ve done amazingly well.”

Peter’s expression softened slightly.

“But…” he hesitated.

Ben immediately noticed.

“But what?”

Peter looked down.

“What if my powers keep growing forever?”

Silence filled the room.

Neither Ben nor May answered immediately.

Because honestly…

They didn’t know.

That uncertainty terrified them too.

Peter continued quietly.

“Every year I get stronger.”

His voice became smaller.

“What if one day I can’t control it anymore?”

May’s heart ached hearing the fear in his voice.

For all his strength…

Peter was still just a little boy.

A little boy terrified of hurting people.

Ben slowly leaned forward.

“Peter.”

Peter looked up again.

Ben’s eyes were calm and firm.

“Your powers don’t decide who you are.”

Peter remained silent.

“Your choices do.”

Those words struck deeply inside Peter’s heart.

Ben continued.

“The fact that you’re scared of hurting people already proves something important.”

Peter blinked slightly.

“What’s that?”

Ben smiled softly.

“That you’re a good person.”

Peter stared at him quietly.

May nodded gently.

“A bad person wouldn’t care.”

Warmth slowly spread through Peter’s chest.

Sometimes…

He really needed to hear things like that.

Because secretly, Peter constantly worried there was something wrong with him.

Something unnatural.

Something dangerous.

But hearing Ben and May speak so confidently always helped calm those fears.

Ben suddenly grinned mischievously.

“Besides, if your powers get too crazy, we’ll just make you do all the house repairs.”

Peter groaned instantly.

“Uncle Ben.”

May laughed softly.

“Actually, that’s not a bad idea.”

Peter looked betrayed.

“You guys are supposed to support me.”

“We do support you,” Ben replied proudly.

“We support your future career as free labor.”

Peter buried his face in his hands while May laughed harder.

The heavy atmosphere quickly disappeared again.

And honestly…

Peter loved that most about them.

No matter how difficult things became…

Uncle Ben and Aunt May always managed to make the world feel lighter somehow.

Outside, snow continued falling softly over Queens.

Cars moved through the streets.

Children prepared for school.

The world continued normally.

Completely unaware that inside one small house sat a young boy with impossible abilities.

A child who could someday become the strongest being on Earth.

But despite all that power…

At his core, Peter Parker remained what he always truly was.

A lonely little boy trying his best not to hurt anyone.

After finishing breakfast together, the peaceful atmosphere inside the Parker house slowly began fading as it became time for school.

Peter carefully drank the last sip of milk from his glass before placing it down gently onto the table.

Very gently.

Even after years of practice, he still remained cautious with every movement he made.

One careless mistake could shatter the glass instantly.

Thankfully, this time nothing broke.

Peter internally celebrated another small victory.

Uncle Ben noticed the tiny relieved smile on Peter’s face and chuckled softly.

“Still treating cups like they’re made of explosives?”

Peter looked embarrassed immediately.

“You remember what happened last month.”

Ben burst into laughter.

“Hey, in your defense, I’ve never seen a spoon launch itself into the ceiling before.”

Peter groaned loudly.

“It was an accident.”

Aunt May crossed her arms while trying—and failing—not to smile.

“You bent twelve spoons in one morning, Peter.”

Peter buried his face into his hands dramatically.

“I said I was sorry!”

Ben laughed even harder.

The sound filled the house warmly.

Moments like these made the Parker home feel alive.

Happy.

And honestly…

Peter treasured those moments deeply.

After losing his parents, there had been a time when the house felt painfully quiet all the time.

But little by little, Ben and May brought warmth back into his life again.

Peter eventually stood up from his chair carefully before grabbing his backpack.

“Alright,” he said softly, “I’m going now.”

May immediately walked over and fixed his jacket collar lovingly.

“Make sure you eat your lunch.”

“I will.”

“And no fighting.”

Peter looked offended.

“I don’t fight.”

Ben raised an eyebrow.

“You accidentally tackled Flash Thompson through a dodgeball stand last week.”

Peter immediately defended himself. Find the original chapter at g.com.

“He jumped at me first!”

“And you launched him six feet.”

“I was surprised!”

Ben laughed again while May sighed helplessly.

Sometimes raising Peter felt normal.

Other times…

It felt like trying to raise a tiny superhero without letting the world realize it.

Peter adjusted his backpack before looking toward them both warmly.

“Goodbye, Uncle Ben.”

“Bye, kiddo,” Ben replied.

Peter then looked toward May.

“Goodbye, Aunt May.”

May smiled softly before kissing his forehead gently.

“Have a good day at school, Peter.”

A small smile appeared on Peter’s face.

“I’ll try.”

Those words carried far more meaning than they normally should.

Because for Peter Parker…

A “normal” school day could become dangerous very quickly.

One accidental loss of control.

One emotional outburst.

One moment of carelessness.

That was all it could take.

Peter pushed those thoughts aside before walking toward the front door.

The cold winter air greeted him the moment he stepped outside.

Snow rested along the sidewalks while frosty winds drifted through the neighborhood quietly.

Cars moved through the streets while distant voices echoed throughout Queens as the city continued waking up.

Peter shoved his hands into his pockets before looking toward the road.

Almost instantly, he noticed a familiar car parked nearby.

A small smile appeared on his face.

Inside George Stacy’s car sat Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane Watson.

Both girls immediately noticed him.

Mary Jane energetically waved both hands through the window.

“Peter!”

Meanwhile, Gwen smiled more calmly, though her expression still brightened the moment she saw him.

Peter couldn’t help smiling a little wider.

For all the strange things happening in his life…

Seeing his friends every morning always made things feel better somehow.

Peter quickly walked toward the car before stopping beside the driver’s window.

George Stacy sat inside wearing his police jacket while drinking coffee.

The experienced officer looked tired already.

Peter wondered briefly how someone could look both exhausted and intimidating at the same time.

George noticed Peter approaching and smiled slightly.

“Morning, Pete.”

Peter nodded politely.

“Good morning, Uncle George.”

George had long since gotten used to Peter calling him that.

Honestly, he didn’t mind it.

Peter then spoke politely.

“Thank you for waiting for me.”

George snorted softly.

“It’s nothing, kid.”

Then his expression became teasing.

“Besides, if I leave without you, Gwen would probably declare war against me.”

“G-Dad!”

Gwen immediately looked embarrassed while Mary Jane burst into laughter from the backseat.

“It’s true!” Mary Jane said dramatically.

“She literally kept checking the street every ten seconds.”

Gwen crossed her arms instantly.

“I was not.”

“You absolutely were.”

Peter laughed quietly while Gwen glared at Mary Jane.

“Traitor.”

George shook his head helplessly.

“Kids.”

Peter smiled warmly before opening the car door and climbing into the backseat beside Gwen and Mary Jane.

The moment he sat down, Mary Jane leaned toward him excitedly.

“So,” she whispered dramatically, “did you finish the science assignment?”

Peter blinked.

“…There was homework?”

Mary Jane gasped in horror.

Gwen immediately facepalmed.

“Peter.”

Peter looked nervous now.

“What?”

“You forgot again?”

Peter avoided eye contact awkwardly.

“…Maybe.”

Mary Jane laughed loudly.

“You’re dead.”

Peter groaned.

“I was practicing control exercises all night.”

Gwen’s expression softened slightly hearing that.

She knew Peter’s situation better than most people.

Not everything, obviously.

Peter’s powers remained a secret.

But Gwen knew he struggled with things emotionally after losing his parents.

Sometimes she noticed how strangely careful he acted around people.

How he avoided physical contact occasionally.

How tense he became whenever someone got hurt nearby.

She didn’t fully understand it.

But she noticed.

And because Gwen Stacy was observant by nature…

She quietly worried about him sometimes.

The car soon began moving through the snowy streets of Queens.

As George drove, Mary Jane continued talking almost nonstop.

“And then my mom said I sing too loudly,” she complained dramatically, “but that’s literally the point of singing.”

Peter smiled faintly.

“You were singing at midnight.”

“Art has no schedule, Peter.”

Gwen sighed deeply.

“You woke up half the apartment building.”

“Worth it.”

Peter laughed softly again.

Listening to them argue felt strangely comforting.

For a little while, Peter almost forgot about his powers completely.

Almost.

As the car moved through the streets, Peter’s enhanced hearing accidentally picked up distant sounds again.

Sirens.

Conversations.

Arguments.

Construction work several blocks away.

Peter quietly focused on Gwen and Mary Jane’s voices instead.

Over the years, he had learned that concentrating on familiar voices helped drown out the overwhelming noise around him.

Eventually, the school building appeared ahead.

Children walked toward the entrance while parents dropped students off near the sidewalk.

Snow crunched beneath countless footsteps while laughter and conversations filled the cold morning air.

George parked the car near the entrance.

“We’re here.”

Almost immediately, Mary Jane opened the door energetically and jumped out.

Gwen exited more calmly.

Peter followed behind them while adjusting his backpack.

Cold air brushed against his face gently.

Peter then turned back toward the car and smiled politely.

“Thank you, Uncle George, for the ride.”

George looked at him for a moment before shaking his head with amusement.

“Peter, you really don’t need to thank me every single time.”

Peter rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

“Sorry.”

George chuckled softly.

“You’re way too polite for your own good, kid.”

Mary Jane immediately nodded dramatically.

“Seriously.”

Gwen smirked slightly.

“One day he’s gonna apologize to a wall after walking into it.”

Peter looked offended.

“I do not do that.”

Mary Jane and Gwen exchanged looks.

Then both nodded together.

“You absolutely do.”

Peter opened his mouth to defend himself…

Then slowly closed it.

Because honestly…

That did sound like something he would do.

George laughed quietly while watching the three children together.

Sometimes, when looking at Peter, George couldn’t help feeling a little concerned.

The kid smiled often around Gwen and Mary Jane…

But there was always something hidden behind those smiles.

A strange sadness.

A strange maturity.

Like Peter carried far more weight on his shoulders than a child his age should.

George didn’t know why exactly.

But he hoped spending time with Gwen and Mary Jane helped.

Peter suddenly looked toward the school building.

Students continued entering through the front doors while teachers greeted children near the entrance.

A new school day had begun.

Completely ordinary.

Completely normal.

At least…

That was how it appeared from the outside.

But hidden among the crowd of children walked an eight-year-old boy with impossible power sleeping inside him.

A boy trying every single day not to become a danger to the people he loved.
