here…

….

Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters (X-Mansion)…

Westchester County, New York…

Far away from the burning streets of Harlem, peace still lingered around the sprawling grounds of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

Students continued attending classes, unaware that history had just taken another dramatic turn.

Inside the Principal’s Office…

A large television occupied the center of the room, replaying the live footage from Harlem.

Seated before it was an elderly bald man whose calm blue eyes reflected decades of wisdom.

Professor Charles Xavier.

Instead of a conventional wheelchair,

Charles sat in an advanced hovering chair, floating a few inches above the floor.

It had been designed by Forge, one of mutantkind’s greatest inventors, who had incorporated advanced Shi’ar technology into the chair, allowing Xavier greater mobility and a host of integrated systems.

Standing around him were several senior members of the X-Men.

Scott Summers.

Better known as Cyclops.

Standing with his arms folded and his trademark ruby-quartz visor covering his eyes.

Beside him stood the blue-furred genius,

Dr.

Hank McCoy.

The Beast adjusted his glasses while carefully analyzing every frame of the broadcast.

Near the window stood Ororo Munroe, Storm herself.

The weather outside unconsciously mirrored her emotions, with faint clouds gathering overhead.

Beside Scott stood Jean Grey, also known as Marvel Girl.

Unlike the others, her eyes never left the screen.

“…”

The television replayed the final moments of Harlem.

The Ghost Rider confronting General Ross.

His speech.

His warning to the media.

His criticism of the military.

Then…

The dimensional gateway.

Finally…

The broadcast ended.

Silence filled the office.

It was Beast who broke it first.

“…Remarkable.

I’ve never encountered energy readings remotely similar to that.”

Storm slowly crossed her arms.

“We should have been there.”

There was no accusation in her voice.

Only disappointment in it.

Scott sighed hearing her complain.

“We all wanted to.

But Professor received direct requests from both S.H.I.E.L.D….”

“…and the military.”

“No X-Men intervention.”

Jean frowned hearing his reason.

“And we listened even the situation like this.”

Scott looked toward her.

“What choice did we have?”

“If we’d ignored both organizations…

It would’ve damaged everything Professor has spent years building.”

Nobody argued hearing his reason.

Charles Xavier had dedicated his entire life to proving one thing.

That mutants…

Were people.

Not monsters.

Not weapons.

Not humanity’s enemies.

Every political connection.

Every government negotiation.

Every peaceful agreement.

Had taken years to build.

One reckless decision from the X-Men could destroy decades of progress overnight.

Even so…

That knowledge didn’t make today’s decision any easier.

Storm quietly looked toward Charles.

“Professor…

Did you sense anything unusual about him?”

Charles already knew who she meant.

“The Ghost Rider.”

Storm nodded hearing him.

“Was he…

a mutant?”

Charles slowly shook his head.

“No.

I searched the battlefield the moment he appeared.”

His expression became unusually thoughtful.

“I found…

nothing.”

The room became quiet again.

Beast looked surprised.

“Nothing?”

Charles nodded his head.

“Every living human possesses unique cerebral wave patterns.”

“They’re as distinctive as fingerprints.”

“I can recognize them from astonishing distances.”

His eyes narrowed slightly.

“But the Ghost Rider…

I couldn’t locate any recognizable human brainwave signature.”

“It was as though…”

He paused.

“…there was no human mind for me to perceive.”

Even Beast found that unsettling.

“…Extraordinary.”

Storm slowly exhaled.

“So he isn’t a mutant.”

“I don’t believe so.”

Charles answered honestly.

“But…

I also cannot say what he truly is.”

Jean silently replayed one particular sentence from the interview.

‘The innocent have been blamed before.

Mutants know this better than most.’

She looked toward Charles.

“He understands.”

Scott folded his arms tighter.

“Or maybe he doesn’t.”

Everyone looked at him hearing his words.

Scott sighed feeling their gazes.

“I appreciate what he did.”

“He stopped the two monsters who were fighting.”

“He saved civilians.

I’m grateful for that.”

“But…”

He glanced toward the now-dark television.

“Calling out the military.

Questioning the government.”

“Accusing the media on live television…”

He shook his head.

“Mutants are already struggling to gain public acceptance.”

“If people associate us with that kind of confrontation…

Our situation could become even worse.”

Jean immediately rolled her eyes.

“Oh, please.”

Scott looked at her hearing her mocking tone.

“What?”

She stepped closer to the TV.

“You know what I heard?”

Scott remained silent.

“….”

“I heard someone…

finally say what everyone here has been thinking for years.”

Scott frowned seeing her get emotional.

“Jean…”

“No.”

She interrupted.

“He didn’t tell people to hate mutants.

He pointed out something true.”

“When disasters happen…

How often are mutants blamed first?”

Nobody answered hearing her words.

Jean looked around the room.

“The media twists stories.”

“The government hides information.”

“Politicians create convenient enemies when ever elections or any other important event occurs.”

She crossed her arms.

“And somehow…

Mutants always end up paying the price.”

Storm quietly nodded.

“So do I.”

Scott looked between the two women.

“You honestly think that speech helps us?”

Jean smiled faintly.

“I think…

for the first time…”

“Someone outside this mansion openly challenged the narrative we’ve been fighting for our entire lives.”

She looked back toward the blank television.

“We couldn’t say it.”

“The Professor couldn’t say it.”

“The X-Men couldn’t say it.”

“Because we’d immediately be called radicals.”

Her expression softened.

“But he did.

And because he isn’t one of us…

The whole world listened.”

Silence returned once more.

“….”

“….”

“….”

Even Scott couldn’t immediately refute her.

Finally…

Charles Xavier smiled.

It was small.

Almost imperceptible.

“Whether one agrees with his methods or not…”

Everyone turned toward him.

“The Ghost Rider has done something very few people ever accomplish.”

“He has forced millions of people…

to ask questions they were never encouraged to ask before.”

Charles folded his hands together. You are reading on novelping.com, the official source.

“And that…

is often how meaningful change begins.”

No one spoke after that.

Outside the office window, the wind gently rustled the trees surrounding the mansion.

Inside, however…

Every member of the X-Men realized the same thing.

A new player had entered the world.

Neither government nor mutantkind.

And somehow…

That made the Ghost Rider even more unpredictable than either Hulk or the Abomination.

Stark Tower…

The executive floor of Stark Tower had fallen into an unsettling silence.

No one spoke.

The only sound came from the television, where every news channel repeatedly replayed the same headline.

“WHO IS THE GHOST RIDER?”

Tony Stark stood before the panoramic window overlooking Manhattan.

His helmet rested on the nearby workbench.

He had been only minutes away from deploying the Mark III armor.

Yet by the time the suit had finished assembling…

The battle had already ended.

Not because of the military.

Not because of S.H.I.E.L.D.

But because of one unknown individual.

Behind him…

Jagadish and Grace sat together on a couch in Tony’s office.

Neither of them had uttered a word since arriving.

Only few moments earlier…

They had watched the surveillance footage of their son’s Camaro being struck by a missile.

They had believed…

They had watched Raja die.

Unable to bear seeing the grieving couple remain at work, Tony had personally dismissed them.

“I’ve already approved a few days of leave.”

“Don’t worry about work.”

Pepper, standing nearby, quietly nodded.

“We’ll take care of everything here.”

Jagadish looked up.

“…Thank you.”

His voice sounded hollow.

Grace simply stared blankly at the floor.

Then…

JARVIS suddenly spoke.

“Sir.”

Tony turned to look at the new visuals.

“What is it?”

“Additional surveillance footage has been recovered from damaged traffic cameras.”

Tony frowned hearing it.

“I thought the explosion destroyed everything.”

“Several nearby cameras remained partially operational.”

“Show me.”

A holographic screen appeared.

The recording began immediately.

Everyone in the room watched in silence.

“….”

“….”

“….”

The destroyed Camaro lay burning in the middle of the road.

Then…

It moved.

The scattered wreckage began pulling itself together.

Piece after piece reassembled.

The vehicle rebuilt itself.

No…

It transformed.

Its body darkened.

Infernal flames erupted across its frame.

The burning Camaro slowly rolled forward under its own power.

Then…

The driver’s door opened.

A flaming skeleton stepped out.

Jagadish’s breathing stopped.

Grace instinctively covered her mouth.

The footage continued then switched to news recording.

The Ghost Rider.

The battle.

The infernal chain.

The impossible strength.

Everything.

The recording finally ended.

Silence.

Tony stared at the frozen image on the hologram.

“…Well.

That’s definitely new.”

Pepper slowly looked toward the couple.

Neither of them had moved.

Tony immediately became serious.

“JARVIS.”

“Delete every piece of footage showing that transformation.”

Pepper blinked hearing Tony’s comment.

“Tony?”

He didn’t hesitate.

“If that recording gets leaked…”

He looked toward Jagadish and Grace.

“…it won’t take long for someone to identify the car.”

“Then they’ll identify its owner.”

“Then they’ll identify his parents.”

He folded his arms.

“And after that…”

He didn’t need to finish.

Everyone in the room understood.

Government agencies.

Military intelligence.

Who knows who will come after him.

Private contractors.

Criminal organizations.

Anyone interested in the Ghost Rider would immediately trace him back to his family.

JARVIS answered.

“Understood, sir.”

“Deleting transformation footage from Stark Industries’ secured archive.”

Several confirmation windows appeared.

[Deletion Complete.]

Tony nodded seeing all the footage were deleted.

“Good.”

Pepper looked at him with a faint smile.

“That was the right decision.”

Tony shrugged his shoulders.

“I’m not handing a kid’s identity to every intelligence agency on the planet.”

He walked toward the couch.

Then sat opposite Jagadish and Grace.

For several seconds…

No one spoke.

Finally…

Tony broke the silence.

“I don’t know exactly what happened.

I don’t know what that thing is.”

“But…”

He looked directly at them.

“…I don’t think your son died.”

Grace slowly raised her head.

Her eyes were red from crying.

Jagadish clenched his trembling hands together.

Tony continued choosing his words.

“I think…

your son became something else.”

He paused.

“And judging by what we just watched…

He still knows exactly who he’s protecting.”

Jagadish finally found his voice.

“…Mr.

Stark.”

Tony immediately interrupted.

“Tony.”

The Jagadish nodded weakly still processing.

“…Tony.”

“Can…”

He swallowed.

“…Can we meet our son?”

Grace immediately looked at Tony as well.

Hope.

Fear.

Confusion.

Every emotion imaginable filled her eyes.

Tony remained silent for a moment before answering honestly.

“I’ll do everything I can.

But I can’t promise anything.”

“I don’t even know where he went.”

Pepper quietly added,

“The portal disappeared completely.”

“There isn’t any way to track it…

at least not with what we currently have.”

The room fell silent once more.

Grace slowly turned toward her husband.

Her lips trembled.

“…Jagadish.”

He looked at her.

She struggled to say the words.

“…That…

that flaming monster…”

Tears welled in her eyes again.

“…is our son?”

Jagadish closed his eyes.

His hands slowly tightened.

He remembered teaching Raja how to hold a screwdriver.

Teaching him how to ride a bicycle.

Helping him build his first model engine.

Watching him smile.

Watching him grow.

Then he remembered the burning skull.

The infernal flames.

The impossible power.

After what felt like an eternity…

He finally opened his eyes.

“I don’t know…”

His voice cracked for the first time.

“…what he has become.”

A tear rolled down his cheek.

“But…”

He looked at the frozen image of the Ghost Rider standing between Hulk and Abomination.

“…when everyone else was running away…

he ran toward the danger.”

A faint, bittersweet smile appeared on his face.

“…That much…

is still my son.”

Grace could no longer hold back. Get faster updates on novelping.com.

She leaned against her husband and quietly cried.

Tony looked away toward the New York skyline.

For the first time since Iron Man was born…

He had encountered someone who hadn’t put on armor.

Someone who had become something far beyond it.

And for reasons he couldn’t quite explain…

Tony had a feeling that the Ghost Rider was just the beginning of chaos.

Ghost Rider’s Dimension…

The infernal Camaro rolled across the black earth before gradually slowing to a stop.

The engine let out one final growl before falling silent.

The driver’s door opened.

The Ghost Rider stepped onto the barren landscape.

Unlike Earth…

This world felt unnaturally quiet.

No wind.

No birds.

No insects.

No rivers.

No forests.

Nothing.

Only an endless expanse of black soil stretching toward the horizon.

Above them, there were no clouds, no sun, and no stars.

Instead, a crimson-orange sky illuminated everything in an eternal twilight, as though the world existed between sunset and apocalypse.

This was the Ghost Rider’s personal dimension.

A realm born from Zaratho’s power.

Still young.

Still incomplete.

Limited to roughly one hundred acres.

Yet despite its emptiness, one could instinctively feel that the space itself answered to a single master.

The Ghost Rider.

A moment later…

BOOM!

Hulk landed beside him, creating a shallow crater in the black earth.

He immediately looked around.

“Hulk…

Where?”

Before either of them could speak…

Another figure stumbled through the closing dimensional gateway.

“Ah!”

Betty Ross rolled across the dark ground before finally stopping.

She quickly looked behind her.

The portal had already disappeared.

“…Bruce?”

Instead of New York…

She found herself inside an unfamiliar world.

There were no buildings.

No roads.

No civilization.

Only endless black earth beneath an endless crimson sky.

Even the air felt different.

“…Where…

are we?”

The Ghost Rider and Hulk both turned toward her.

Hulk’s eyes widened.

“Betty.”

He instinctively took a step forward.

Then…

Something impossible happened.

A faint emerald glow emerged from Hulk’s massive chest.

Bruce Banner’s translucent soul projection slowly separated from the green giant’s body.

Like mist taking human form.

Bruce floated gently toward Betty before solidifying into a ghost-like projection.

“…Betty.”

The three of them froze.

“….”

“….”

“….”

Bruce stared at his own transparent hands.

Betty blinked several times.

“…Bruce?”

Even Hulk tilted his head in confusion.

“Hulk…

Bruce?”

Inside the Ghost Rider’s mind…

Zarathos chuckled seeing the event which was unfolding.

“The realm is responding.”

The Ghost Rider frowned hearing him.

“Responding?”

“Within this domain…

the boundaries between body and soul become flexible.”

“When the master permits it…

Bruce Banner and the Hulk no longer need to imprison one another.”

The Ghost Rider remained silent.

Zarathos continued to explain.

“One may inhabit the physical body…while the other manifests as a soul projection.”

“Neither is trapped.”

A faint smile appeared beneath the Ghost Rider’s burning skull.

“That…”

“Might be exactly what they need.”

He stepped toward Bruce and Betty.

“Bruce.”

The scientist turned looked at himself in awe.

“What just happened?”

The Ghost Rider explained calmly.

“This realm belongs to me.”

“I only inherited it recently.”

“But according to Zarathos…

well you can say he is my another one like you and hulk…”

He briefly pointed toward Hulk.

“Within this dimension…”

“You and Hulk don’t have to remain trapped inside the same body.”

“You can exist simultaneously.”

Bruce slowly processed those words.

“…Simultaneously?”

The Ghost Rider nodded.

“As long as one occupies the physical body…

The other can manifest like this.”

Bruce slowly looked toward Hulk.

The green giant looked back.

For perhaps the first time since the accident…

Neither of them felt trapped.

Neither was imprisoned inside the other’s consciousness.

They simply…

Existed.

Side by side.

Bruce couldn’t help smiling.

He remembered the Ghost Rider’s promise during the battle.

“I’ll help both Bruce…

and Hulk.”

At the time…

Bruce had only heard those words faintly from within.

Now…

He realized the Ghost Rider had truly meant them.

Bruce slowly nodded.

“…Thank you.”

Betty finally found her voice.

“…Bruce…”

Without thinking, she stepped forward.

Bruce gently helped her to her feet.

Although he couldn’t truly touch her in his soul form, his presence alone brought immense relief.

She smiled through tears.

“I thought…

I thought I’d lost you again.”

Bruce smiled softly.

“So did I.”

Nearby…

Hulk quietly watched.

Instead of jealousy…

There was only curiosity.

Seeing Bruce smile somehow made Hulk feel…

Lighter.

The Ghost Rider watched them for another moment.

Then…

He walked a few steps away.

Steam suddenly began rising from his body.

The infernal flames gradually shrank.

The blazing skull became covered in flesh.

Bones transformed back into muscle.

Skin.

Hair.

Within seconds…

The terrifying Spirit of Vengeance disappeared.

Standing where the Ghost Rider had been was an ordinary-looking sixteen-year-old teenager.

Black hair.

Hazel-green eyes.

A lean athletic build.

The only thing remaining from before was the unusual calmness in his gaze.

Bruce and Betty both stared.

“…”

“…”

“…You’re…”

Bruce looked utterly stunned.

“Very Young?”

The teenager rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

“…Yeah.”

“I get that reaction a lot.”

He offered a small smile before extending his hand.

“My name’s Raja.”

“But…Everyone calls me Raj.”

Bruce instinctively shook his hand.

“…Bruce Banner.”

Betty smiled warmly.

“I’m Betty Ross.”

Raj nodded hearing their introductions.

“Nice to finally meet you.”

Bruce couldn’t stop looking at him.

“So…

The Ghost Rider…

is actually a sixteen-year-old high school student?”

Raj gave an embarrassed laugh.

“When you say it out loud…”

“It sounds even crazier.”

Even Betty couldn’t help laughing softly seeing he was easy to speak.

The overwhelming tension that had followed them from Harlem finally eased, if only for a few precious moments.
