Seeing Hulk’s breathing gradually return to normal, the Ghost Rider gave a small nod.
The infernal flames around his body dimmed ever so slightly.
“Good.”
His burning gaze shifted away from Hulk and toward the distant office buildings.
Several enormous holes pierced straight through them.
Each one marked the path where Abomination had been driven through by the infernal Camaro.
The Ghost Rider raised one flaming finger toward the struggling monster pinned inside the ruined structure.
“Hulk.”
The green giant looked at him.
“We’ll deal with him first.”
Hulk followed the direction of the Ghost Rider’s finger.
His expression immediately darkened.
“Hulk…
SMASH.”
The Ghost Rider released the burning chain wrapped around Hulk.
The infernal links retracted into his hand.
Instead of attacking wildly…
Hulk simply cracked his knuckles.
Then both of them began walking toward Abomination.
“….”
“….”
“….”
Several hundred meters away…
The infernal Camaro remained pressed firmly against Abomination’s chest.
Its engine continued growling like a caged beast.
The moment it sensed the Ghost Rider’s intention…
It obediently reversed.
VROOOOM!
The flaming vehicle rolled backward several meters before parking itself nearby.
Freed from the crushing force, Abomination stumbled forward.
He pounded his chest furiously.
His eyes burned with humiliation.
“A CAR!”
“I was pushed around…
BY A DAMN CAR!”
His furious roar echoed through the shattered streets.
“I’LL RIP YOU APART!”
Before he could finish…
A gigantic green fist filled his vision.
BOOOOOOM!!
Hulk’s punch landed squarely across Abomination’s face.
The impact snapped his head violently to the side.
Several teeth flew from his mouth.
Before Abomination could recover…
The Ghost Rider moved.
His burning chain shot forward.
WHOOSH!
The infernal links wrapped around Abomination’s right arm just as he attempted to punch Hulk.
The Ghost Rider planted both feet firmly against the ground.
Then pulled.
The chain tightened.
Abomination’s arm was forcibly dragged backward.
“What?!”
The Ghost Rider continued moving.
The burning chain circled behind Abomination.
One loop.
Two.
Three.
Finally…
It wrapped tightly around his neck.
The Ghost Rider crossed both ends before pulling with supernatural strength.
Abomination suddenly found himself completely restrained.
Every attempt to move only caused the infernal chain to tighten further.
“HULK!!”
Seeing his opponent helplessly restrained, Hulk’s anger erupted once more.
His enormous fists began raining down.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Every punch cratered Abomination deeper into the broken asphalt.
His face became swollen.
Several ribs collapsed inward.
His healing factor desperately repaired the damage.
Only for another punch to shatter everything again.
Abomination struggled desperately.
He tried tearing the chain apart.
It didn’t move.
He tried overpowering the Ghost Rider.
Nothing happened.
“HULK ROAR!!”
Hulk suddenly grabbed Abomination’s left arm.
His massive hand closed around the jagged bone blade protruding from the elbow.
With a savage roar…
CRAAACK!!
The sharpened bone tore free.
Abomination screamed.
“AAAAAAAHHHH!!”
Green blood sprayed across the street.
Hulk stared at the bone spike in his hand the very one Abomination used to hurt him.
Then looked back at Abomination.
His expression became frighteningly calm.
Without hesitation…
He drove the broken bone directly into Abomination’s chest.
STAB!
Another scream.
Before the wound could heal…
Hulk stabbed again.
STAB!
Again.
STAB!
Again….
Again….
Again….
Each stab pierced deep into Abomination’s torso.
His accelerated regeneration desperately repaired one wound only for another to replace it immediately.
The Ghost Rider remained behind him, holding the infernal chain taut.
Preventing even the slightest escape.
General Ross watched in horror from the helicopter.
“My God…”
Betty covered her mouth.
“…Stop…”
Abomination’s healing factor continued working.
But his body was no longer the problem.
His mind was.
Pain.
Fear.
Exhaustion.
Everything hit him due to the current way things were unfolding.
His consciousness reached its limit long before his regenerative abilities did.
His struggles gradually weakened.
His roaring became groans.
Then…
His massive body began shrinking.
The grotesque muscles receded.
The monstrous proportions disappeared.
The scales faded.
Within moments…
The towering Abomination had reverted into an unconscious Emil Blonsky.
His battered human body collapsed limply against the infernal chain.
The Ghost Rider let out a slow breath.
“So…
It was the cinematic version.”
He immediately raised his voice.
“Hulk.
Stop.”
Everyone expected Hulk to ignore him.
Instead…
The green giant paused.
The sharpened bone remained raised in his hand.
He looked back toward the Ghost Rider.
After several tense seconds…
“….”
Hulk slowly lowered the weapon.
The Ghost Rider walked forward and loosened the burning chain.
The infernal links unwound themselves from Emil Blonsky’s unconscious body before returning to the Ghost Rider’s hand.
Emil collapsed face-first onto the broken pavement.
Unmoving.
Alive.
The Ghost Rider looked down at the unconscious soldier.
“Justice…
is not always execution.”
Behind him, Hulk remained standing silently.
The battlefield, moments ago consumed by violence, had fallen into an uneasy calm.
For the first time since the battle began…
Both monsters had stopped fighting.
And every person watching realized that the mysterious flaming rider had accomplished something no army, no general, and no weapon had managed to do.
He had subdued the Abomination…
And calmed the Hulk.
For the first time since the battle began…
Silence lingered over Harlem.
Then…
A little girl slowly stepped out from behind an overturned bus.
She looked at Hulk.
Then at the Ghost Rider.
Seeing that neither of them attacked…
She smiled.
“It’s…
over.”
Her soft voice seemed to break the spell.
One by one…
The civilians hiding throughout the ruined streets cautiously emerged.
An elderly man.
A mother carrying her daughter.
Firefighters.
Police officers.
Shopkeepers.
Construction workers.
Everyone slowly realized…
The battle had ended.
Then someone began clapping.
Another joined.
Soon…
The entire street erupted into thunderous applause.
“He stopped them!”
“We’re alive!”
“No…
It was the flaming guy!”
“Whoever he is…
He saved everyone!”
Cheers echoed throughout Harlem.
Meanwhile…
Far above…
A WHiH World News helicopter hovered over the devastated battlefield.
Inside, every camera remained fixed on the two supernatural figures standing among the rubble.
Millions of viewers around the world watched the live broadcast.
Living rooms.
Restaurants.
Shopping malls.
Airports.
Hospitals.
Every television displayed the same scene.
The scrolling headline read:
BREAKING NEWS
HARLEM BATTLE ENDS AFTER MYSTERIOUS FLAMING FIGURE INTERVENES
People across America cheered.
Many were relieved.
Some cried.
Others simply stared in disbelief.
Yet despite the celebration…
Many viewers still looked toward Hulk with uncertainty.
His reputation had never truly recovered.
To the public…
The Hulk was still a terrifying green monster capable of flattening entire city blocks.
Today’s battle hadn’t erased that fear overnight.
While…
The Ghost Rider quietly exhaled.
A green notification suddenly appeared before his eyes.
Apparently, the System had delayed displaying rewards until combat had completely concluded.
“Important Character Contact Confirmed”
Bruce Banner
Reward: +750 XP”
“Important Character Contact Confirmed”
“Hulk (Initial Form)
Reward: +750 XP
Total Reward
+1500 XP”
“Current System Level: 2”
“Current XP: 35 / 1000
Applying Experience…”
Level Up!”
“Current System Level: 3
Remaining XP: 535 / 10000
Next Level Requirement: 10000 XP”
Another notification appeared immediately.
Template Synchronization
“Zarathos
Previous Synchronization: 42%
Current Synchronization: 45%”
Finally…
One last panel appeared.
Template Draw Rewards
“Unclaimed Character Template Draws: 2”
The Ghost Rider stared silently at the final notification.
‘…
Ten thousand?’
His flaming skull tilted slightly.
‘So…
Every level adds another zero now?’
He suddenly had a bad feeling about the future.
‘Level four…
One hundred thousand?
Please tell me that’s not how this works…’
The System, as always, remained annoyingly silent.
“…”
‘Of course.’
Back in reality…
The cheering crowds continued celebrating.
Suddenly…
A young boy, no older than eight, gathered all his courage and stepped forward.
“Jason!”
His father immediately grabbed for him.
“Come back!”
The boy slipped free before stopping several meters away from the Ghost Rider.
Despite clearly being frightened…
His curiosity proved stronger.
“Mister…”
The battlefield grew quiet.
Everyone looked toward the child.
“…Who are you?”
The Ghost Rider looked down at him.
For a brief moment…
Only the sound of burning hellfire could be heard.
Then the Spirit of Vengeance answered.
“My name…
is Ghost Rider.”
The simple declaration echoed across the ruined streets.
Immediately, the reporters repeated it.
“Ghost Rider…
Did he just call himself Ghost Rider?”
The name spread like wildfire.
Within minutes…
Every television station would be broadcasting it.
Unfortunately…
Not everyone welcomed his arrival.
Several military squads cautiously surrounded both Hulk and the Ghost Rider.
Rifles were raised.
Rocket launchers locked into position.
The soldiers’ hands visibly trembled.
No one wanted to fire first.
Yet no one dared lower their weapons either.
Hulk noticed.
His muscles tensed again feeling the hostility.
A low growl escaped his throat.
The Ghost Rider merely glanced sideways.
“Easy.”
Surprisingly…
Hulk remained where he was.
The command helicopter landed nearby.
Its rotors gradually slowed.
Before the blades had completely stopped…
Betty Ross jumped out in a hurry.
“Bruce!”
She ran straight toward Hulk.
“Bruce!”
The giant green monster slowly turned.
He looked at Betty with unusually complicated eyes.
Hulk could feel it.
The overwhelming emotions Bruce Banner held for this woman.
Love.
Concern.
Fear.
A desire to protect her.
Hulk didn’t fully understand those feelings.
But…
He understood one thing.
Bruce cared about Betty.
And somehow…
That made Hulk unwilling to frighten her.
“Hulk…”
He quietly muttered.
“Betty…”
General Ross stepped out moments later.
His expression remained serious.
Yet beneath that military composure…
Lurked genuine apprehension.
His eyes never left the Ghost Rider.
‘What exactly is this creature…?
Human?
Mutant?
Experiment?’
‘Something else entirely?’
After taking a steadying breath, Ross approached cautiously.
“I’m General Thaddeus Ross.”
He extended his hand out of habit before realizing the absurdity of trying to shake hands with a flaming skeleton.
Slowly lowering it again, he continued.
“I appreciate your assistance today.”
“However…
I’ll need you to accompany us.”
“There are…
questions that require answers.”
“We’ll also require your cooperation during our investigation.”
The Ghost Rider slowly turned toward him.
For one second…
Ross genuinely believed he might respond.
Instead…
The Ghost Rider simply snorted.
Then looked away.
As though the general no longer existed.
Ross’s eyebrow twitched.
Being ignored wasn’t something he was accustomed to.
Meanwhile…
A familiar engine echoed across the battlefield.
The infernal Camaro rolled forward on its own before stopping beside its master.
The driver’s door slowly opened.
Waiting.
Patiently.
Like a loyal warhorse.
At that same moment…
Another helicopter landed nearby.
Large letters on its side read:
WHiH WORLD NEWS
The door slid open.
Reporter Chess Roberts stepped out, microphone already in hand.
Behind her, an experienced cameraman immediately focused the lens on the Ghost Rider.
Millions continued watching live.
Chess took a steadying breath before walking forward.
“This is Chess Roberts…
reporting live from Harlem.”
She stopped a respectful distance away.
Despite her professional composure…
Even she couldn’t ignore the intimidating aura radiating from the flaming skeleton before her.
Still…
She had a job to do.
“Ghost Rider…”
She began to ask.
“You’ve just prevented what could have become an even greater tragedy.”
“People across the country are watching right now.”
“So I have to ask…
Who are you?”
The Ghost Rider paused.
Drive away.
Disappear.
But…
He knew better.
If he remained silent…
The military would tell their version of today’s events.
The government would create another.
Rumors would fill whatever gaps remained.
The truth would be buried beneath politics and fear.
If that happened…
He would forever be defined by someone else’s narrative.
No.
If the world was going to know the Ghost Rider…
Then the world would hear about him…
From the Ghost Rider himself.
The Ghost Rider remained silent for several seconds.
Millions of people around the world watched through their televisions, waiting for him to answer.
Not because the one before him looked exactly like Megan Fox.
Definitely not.
Inside his mind…
Zarathos suddenly spoke.
“Boy.”
The Ghost Rider answered mentally.
“What?”
The ancient Spirit sounded genuinely confused.
“That female…
I can tell you were attracted.”
“Why do humans find flesh attractive?”
“Bones are clearly superior.”
The Ghost Rider almost stumbled.
“…”
“You know…”
“In all my life…”
“I never imagined I’d meet someone who openly admitted they preferred skeletons over humans.”
Zarathos sounded offended.
“Not skeletons.”
“Bones.”
“There is elegance in them.”
The Ghost Rider pinched the bridge where his nose used to be.
“You really are impossible.”
Back in reality…
The Ghost Rider stepped forward.
The heat radiating from his body intensified.
Chess Roberts instinctively took one step backward.
Her heartbeat quickened.
Everything in her survival instincts screamed at her to run.
Yet…
She stopped herself.
She had chosen to become a journalist.
If she fled now…
She would never forgive herself.
Taking a slow breath, she tightened her grip on the microphone and stood her ground.
The Ghost Rider looked directly at her.
His burning eyes reflected in the camera lens.
Then…
He spoke.
His voice echoed not only through Harlem…
But across every television broadcasting the live feed.
“You want an interview.
You want answers.
You shall have them.”
He slowly swept his burning gaze across every news helicopter hovering overhead.
Every reporter.
Every camera.
Every broadcasting network.
“But first…”
“You will make me one promise.”
The reporters remained silent.
“Transparency.”
“The truth…
must reach the people.”
His gaze hardened.
“Not only you.”
“Every news organization.
Every editor.
Every executive.
Every board member.”
“If any one of you knowingly twists the truth…”
The infernal flames surrounding him flared violently.
“I will come for those responsible.”
“I will not punish the messenger…
but those who command the messenger.”
A chilling silence followed.
Even the experienced reporters felt an involuntary shiver.
The Ghost Rider slowly turned toward the military.
General Ross instinctively stiffened.
Then the Ghost Rider looked directly into the camera.
Addressing not the reporters…
But every person watching.
“Ask yourselves one question.”
“If today’s battle had continued…
If both monsters had eventually been subdued…
Do you truly believe the military would tell you the complete truth?”
No one answered.
The Ghost Rider continued.
“The destruction you witnessed today…
The deaths…
The suffering…”
He slowly pointed toward the soldiers.
“…began because of military experiments.”
A wave of murmurs spread among the civilians.
General Ross’s expression darkened.
“….”
The Ghost Rider’s voice remained calm.
“And yet…
Would they admit that?”
“Or would another convenient story be written?”
His burning eyes swept across the cameras.
“A story that redirects your anger.
A story that teaches ordinary people to fear one another.”
His voice became colder.
“The innocent have been blamed before.”
“Mutants know this better than most.”
“They are feared for what they are…
while those truly responsible often hide behind uniforms, titles, or authority.”
Several reporters exchanged uneasy glances.
The Ghost Rider had said exactly what many would hesitate to report.
Without waiting for another question…
He turned away.
The infernal chain in his hand began spinning.
Faster.
Faster.
Each rotation tore glowing cracks through empty space itself.
The air distorted.
Reality groaned.
Finally…
The burning chain completed one final arc.
CRAAACK!!
A circular dimensional gateway burst open.
Beyond it…
There was no city.
No buildings.
Only an endless expanse beneath a crimson sky.
The realm itself radiated supernatural energy.
It was Zarathos’ personal domain.
Now inherited by the Ghost Rider.
At present, the dimension was limited.
Roughly one hundred acres.
More than enough for its current purpose.
The Ghost Rider looked toward Hulk.
“Hulk.”
The green giant looked back.
“Come with me.”
Without another word, the Ghost Rider climbed into the infernal Camaro.
The engine roared.
The burning vehicle drove straight through the dimensional gateway.
Disappearing into the crimson world beyond.
Hulk stood silently.
“…”
Then he looked toward Betty.
Their eyes met.
Betty slowly nodded.
“I trust you.”
Hulk hesitated for only a moment.
Then…
With one enormous leap…
He disappeared into the portal after the Ghost Rider.
“Banners!”
General Ross shouted.
“No!”
Before anyone could react…
Betty broke into a run.
“Dad…
I’m sorry!”
“Betty!”
Ignoring every warning behind her, she jumped through the gateway.
The moment she crossed the threshold…
The portal began collapsing.
The ring of hellfire shrank.
The cracks in space sealed themselves.
Then…
With a final burst of crimson flame…
The dimensional gateway vanished completely.
Leaving behind only stunned silence.
“….”
“….”
“….”
General Ross stared at the empty space where his daughter had disappeared.
His fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
“…Betty.”
Above them, the WHiH World News cameras continued broadcasting live.
Millions of viewers had just witnessed three impossible events.
A supernatural being had openly challenged both the military and the media.
The Hulk had willingly followed someone without resistance.
And General Ross’s own daughter had chosen to step into an unknown dimension with them.
By the time the broadcast ended, one name dominated every television screen, radio station, and social media feed across the country.
Ghost Rider.
