The moment General Ross gave the order, Blonsky—who had been itching to redeem himself—immediately threw aside the rifle in his hands and took a grenade launcher from a nearby soldier.

The last time he’d tried to capture Banner at the factory in Brazil had been the first time in all his years of military service that he’d experienced the helplessness of facing an enemy he simply couldn’t overcome.

Blonsky was thirty-nine years old.Full novel: Marvel: Starting as the One-Tail Jinchūriki — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He had served in the military for twenty years.

During those two decades, he’d carried out countless missions and accumulated an impressive record of combat achievements.

With the merits he’d earned, he could have been promoted to colonel long ago.

But he hadn’t.

Instead, he’d chosen to remain in the special forces as a frontline operative.

In his own words— He was a fighter.

Always had been.

“Cover me!” Blonsky shouted to the soldiers beside him after taking the grenade launcher.

Then he walked toward Hulk alone.

BOOM!

The first grenade struck Hulk directly.

The blast successfully rocked Hulk’s massive body and drew his attention.

Blonsky didn’t stop advancing.

He kept walking toward Hulk while firing grenade after grenade.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Explosions erupted one after another.

Hulk might have been far less intelligent than Banner, but he wasn’t mindless.

After tanking several grenades head-on, Hulk picked up a broken piece of the metal sculpture with his left hand and used it as a shield.

Realizing that a single “shield” wasn’t large enough to cover his body, he walked over to the sculpture and tore off another massive section with his right hand.

Now he had two.

BOOM!

Hulk raised both slabs of metal in front of himself and blocked another grenade aimed directly at his face.

“Do you remember me?” Blonsky shouted at Hulk.

Hulk said nothing.

He simply glared at him furiously.

BOOM!

After firing his final grenade, Blonsky tossed aside the launcher and charged toward Hulk.

He didn’t try to confront Hulk head-on.

Instead, he used the giant as a stepping stone.

Blonsky leaped with all his strength, parkouring up Hulk’s thigh and shoulder before vaulting high into the air.

He sailed over Hulk, landed behind him on the metal sculpture, and drew the handgun at his waist.

Then he began firing repeatedly at Hulk’s head.

Blonsky knew perfectly well that a handgun couldn’t possibly penetrate Hulk’s skull.

Hulk had already demonstrated that neither rifles, light machine guns, nor even the heavy machine guns mounted on the Humvees could pierce his skin.

But Blonsky fired anyway.

Partly because he wanted to vent the humiliation of having been chased around helplessly by Hulk during their last encounter.

And partly because he wanted to make Hulk even angrier.

Unsurprisingly— The already furious Hulk became even more enraged.

He wildly swung the chunks of metal in his hands, smashing them toward Blonsky on the sculpture.

Blonsky jumped hard.

With a clean aerial side flip, he vaulted over Hulk’s head, avoided the attack, and landed behind him once again.

At the same time, he kept pulling the trigger and firing at Hulk’s head.

Not long after landing, his magazine ran dry.

During that brief moment, Hulk had already turned around and resumed swinging the metal fragments at him.

Faced with Hulk’s wild, instinct-driven attacks, Blonsky displayed agility and reflexes far beyond those of an ordinary human.

He shifted left and right.

Leaped high and dropped low.

Again and again, he narrowly avoided Hulk’s attacks.

“Lead him toward the sonic cannons!” Seeing that Blonsky had successfully drawn Hulk’s aggression, General Ross shouted into the radio.

Blonsky didn’t hesitate.

He turned and sprinted at full speed toward two Humvees equipped with sonic cannons.

Hulk naturally had no intention of letting him escape.

He chased after him immediately.

Both Blonsky and Hulk displayed running speeds far beyond normal human limits.

But from Roy’s perspective— Neither of them was particularly fast.

Even without using the Body Flicker Jutsu, Roy could easily leave both of them far behind simply by channeling chakra while running.

“Now!” “Fire!” As Hulk was about to catch up to him, Blonsky shouted toward the soldiers operating the sonic cannons.

The high-frequency sound waves fired by the weapons were invisible to the naked eye.

However, as they passed through the air, they created visible rings of compressed atmosphere.

The moment the sonic cannons fired, Blonsky leaped away from the main attack zone.

Although he wasn’t struck directly, the high-frequency sound still forced him to cover his ears.

The two sonic cannons mounted on the Humvees struck Hulk from both sides.

The high-frequency waves surrounded him like a cage.

Hulk possessed astonishing physical durability.

Yet the continuous sonic assault still caused him intense pain.

Under everyone’s gaze, Hulk involuntarily released the metal fragments in his hands.

He clutched his head with an agonized expression, dropped to his knees, and let out a tortured roar.

Seeing this, both General Ross and Blonsky smiled in satisfaction.

These two sonic cannons had been specially prepared for Hulk after the military learned from its previous failure.

And the results proved that even Hulk’s monstrous body couldn’t withstand sustained high-frequency sonic attacks.

“Please!” “Tell them to stop!” “You’re going to kill him!” Betty rushed toward General Ross and pleaded with him.

Ross said nothing.

He pushed her aside.

Nearby soldiers immediately stepped forward and forcibly dragged Betty away.

“Stop!” “Let me go!” “Bruce!” Betty struggled while shouting toward Hulk.

Hearing her voice, Hulk—still kneeling on the ground—forced himself to crawl toward one of the metal fragments he’d discarded earlier.

He grabbed it and raised it in front of himself.

After stabilizing himself, Hulk hurled the metal slab in his left hand.

BOOM!

The chunk of metal sliced through the Humvee on the left like a giant blade.

Both the vehicle and the sonic cannon mounted on it were completely destroyed.

With only one sonic cannon remaining, the pressure on Hulk immediately decreased.

He finally broke free from the suppression.

Hulk planted both feet against the ground and launched himself forward like a meteor.

He crashed directly into the second Humvee— Destroying the remaining sonic cannon.

“Your turn!” General Ross turned toward Roy with a serious expression.

“Wait a little longer.” Roy replied.

“What are we waiting for?” Ross asked in confusion.

“For them to finish.” Roy raised his right hand and pointed toward Blonsky.

Following his gesture, Ross finally noticed that Blonsky still hadn’t given up.

Blonsky picked up an M16 rifle.

RATATAT…

RATAT…

RATATATAT…

He fired while steadily walking toward Hulk.

Before long, the magazine ran empty.

Blonsky casually tossed the M16 aside and stood directly in front of Hulk without the slightest trace of fear on his face.

“Blonsky, retreat!” “Come back!

That’s an order!” General Ross immediately raised the radio and shouted.

Blonsky clearly had no intention of obeying.

He pulled out his earpiece and looked straight at Hulk.

“Is that all you’ve got?” Hulk responded immediately.

He raised his right foot— And kicked Blonsky squarely in the chest.

BANG!

The kick sent Blonsky flying dozens of meters.

He slammed violently into a large tree.

General Ross sighed helplessly.

Then he turned toward Roy.

“The rest is up to you.” Roy said nothing.

He mobilized his chakra.

Body Flicker Jutsu!

In the blink of an eye, he crossed more than a hundred meters.

His figure seemed to flash through space before appearing directly in front of Hulk.

Rasengan!

Before Hulk could react, Roy formed a Rasengan and slammed it directly into Hulk’s chest.
