After realizing that he could no longer properly control his limbs, panic appeared on Hulk’s huge green face.

He had no idea what Roy had done to him.

But there was one thing he knew for certain— The feeling of being unable to control his own limbs was extremely unpleasant.Full novel: Marvel: Starting as the One-Tail Jinchūriki — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

For the first time, Hulk instinctively felt panic.

Watching Hulk thrash wildly on the ground as he desperately tried to regain control of his body, Roy took Gaara’s large gourd out of his system storage and dispelled the Tailed Beast Cloak around himself.

Unlike Gaara, Roy didn’t strap the large gourd to his back.

He simply placed it beside him.

Under Roy’s control, the stopper sealing the gourd transformed into sand and floated into the air.

Immediately afterward, the sand inside the gourd streamed out as well.

It swirled around Roy as though it were alive.

The moment Hulk saw the sand, he struggled even more violently.

But no matter how hard he tried— He still couldn’t stand up.

If Hulk possessed Banner’s intelligence, he would quickly have been able to identify the pattern behind the electrical signals created by Body Pathway Derangement.

Recognizing the pattern wouldn’t necessarily allow him to break the technique, but at least he wouldn’t be panicking as badly as he was now.

Roy ignored Hulk’s frantic struggling and directed the sand toward him.

Before long, the sand reached Hulk.

Roy had no intention of using techniques like Sand Coffin or Sand Burial.

Instead— He intended to use the sand to make Hulk completely lose consciousness.

More precisely— He was going to make Hulk pass out from suffocation.

As for how to make Hulk suffocate until he lost consciousness, the method was simple.

Either fill Hulk’s lungs with sand— Or completely block his mouth and nose with it.

Hulk’s strength and physical durability were indeed monstrous.

But Hulk still needed to breathe.

The swirling sand moved like yellow smoke, entering around Hulk’s mouth and nose before sealing both of them completely shut.

Considering that Hulk would eventually return control of the body to Banner, Roy didn’t allow the sand to travel down Hulk’s airway and into his lungs.

Hulk might not have to worry about pneumoconiosis.

Banner certainly did.

Roy could remove every grain of sand that entered Hulk’s lungs.

But he couldn’t control every particle of dust carried along with the sand.

Once Hulk returned the body to Banner, Banner could very well end up suffering from a lung disease caused by inhaling all that dust.

With both Hulk’s mouth and nose sealed airtight by sand, his struggling became even more violent.

Before, Hulk had been struggling because he wanted to regain control of his limbs and stand back up.

Now— His struggle came from the biological instinct triggered by severe oxygen deprivation.

Watching Roy manipulate sand into Hulk’s mouth and nose, General Ross and the surrounding soldiers unconsciously swallowed.

Complicated expressions appeared on their faces.

When Roy had been brutally beating Hulk down earlier, they had already understood that defeating Hulk was only a matter of time.

But they hadn’t expected Roy to end the battle by suffocating Hulk with sand.

They weren’t the only ones surprised.

Betty hadn’t expected it either.

When the soldiers beside her became distracted by Hulk’s painful struggling, she immediately ran toward Roy as fast as she could.

General Ross didn’t order anyone to drag her back.

He simply allowed her to approach.

“Please!” “Please let Bruce go!” “He’s not a bad person!” “He’s a victim too!” Betty looked at Roy pleadingly.

“My commission is to capture him alive.” “Not kill him.” “Once he loses consciousness, I’ll hand him over to General Ross.” Roy replied calmly.

Hearing that Roy’s goal was to capture Banner alive rather than kill him, Betty immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Then she turned toward Hulk, whose face was twisted in pain.

Just as she considered approaching to try to calm him down, Roy spoke again.

“I’d advise you to stay here.” “Right now, he’s acting entirely on survival instinct.” “He won’t recognize you.” “Even if he only hits you by accident, with your physique, there’s a very high chance you’ll be seriously injured.” Betty bit her lip and stared at Hulk with obvious distress.

She said nothing.

Time slowly passed.

Hulk’s struggling gradually weakened.

His consciousness also began to fade.

Eventually— He lay completely still on the ground.

He had finally lost consciousness.

Once Hulk passed out, his enormous body began to shrink.

The green color of his skin slowly faded away as well.

Seeing this, Roy knew Hulk had returned control of the body to Banner.

Without hesitation, he manipulated the sand again.

Every grain flew back into the gourd.

Then Roy stored the gourd inside the system storage.

Once Banner returned to his normal form, Betty immediately removed her white coat and covered his exposed body with it.

General Ross quickly approached with several soldiers.

He glanced at the unconscious Banner.

“Take him back to the base.” “Yes, sir!” One of the soldiers pulled out a pair of handcuffs and walked toward Banner.

Roy raised a hand and stopped him.

Then he looked toward General Ross.

“You haven’t paid me yet.” “I won’t refuse to pay.” “If you want to take him away, pay me first.” Roy pulled a card from his pocket and handed it to Ross.

General Ross accepted it and took a look.

There were only two lines printed on the card.

The name of a bank.

And an account number.

It was one of Roy’s many offshore accounts.

Ross said nothing.

He took out his phone and sent the bank name and account number to his female secretary.

Less than a minute later— Roy’s phone received a deposit notification from the bank.

After confirming that the amount was correct, Roy looked at General Ross.

“He’s yours.” The moment those words left his mouth— Roy vanished.

He disappeared completely from the sight of Ross, Betty, and everyone else, instantly returning from Culver University to his villa on the Upper East Side.

The moment he arrived home, the system notification confirming the completed commission appeared before him.

[Commission: Assist General Ross in Capturing Bruce Banner] [Commission Status: Completed] [Commission Reward: Three-Tomoe Sharingan — Reward Issued] Finally, I have the Sharingan!

A satisfied smile appeared on Roy’s face.

After closing the system panel, he stored the white ANBU-style animal mask inside the system storage and walked into the bathroom.

Standing before the mirror, Roy took a deep breath and circulated the chakra within his body.

Sharingan!

Activate!

The next second— His originally black eyes turned crimson.

Three black tomoe appeared around each pupil, forming a circle.

Roy admired his newly acquired Three-Tomoe Sharingan in the mirror with obvious satisfaction.

After a moment, he deactivated it and allowed his eyes to return to normal.

Just as he’d expected— Because this wasn’t the Naruto world but the Marvel Universe, the system had made several adjustments to the Sharingan so that it would better suit this world.

The first adjustment involved its ability to copy ninjutsu.

Since Roy was the only person in this world who could use ninjutsu, the ability to copy non-Kekkei Genkai ninjutsu had been altered into the ability to copy extraordinary abilities that did not originate from genetic mutation or a special bloodline.

Similarly— The ability to observe chakra flow had been changed into the ability to observe energy flow.

As for everything else— The Sharingan functioned the same way it did in the Naruto world.

After calming himself down, Roy opened his status panel and looked toward the Kekkei Genkai section.

[Kekkei Genkai: Byakugan, Sharingan (Three-Tomoe)] Can I activate the Byakugan and Sharingan at the same time?

The thought naturally appeared in his mind.

Roy didn’t waste time thinking about it.

He closed the status panel.

Practice was the best way to find out!

If he wanted an answer, all he had to do was test it.

As it turned out— He had been a little too optimistic.

Even though he had two eyes, he couldn’t activate the Byakugan in one eye and the Sharingan in the other.

Still— It wasn’t much of a problem.

After all, he could switch between whichever pair of eyes he needed at any time.
