Suddenly, Tony said to Ethan,
“Let’s form an alliance.”
Ethan froze for a moment at Tony’s sudden invitation.
Seeing that Ethan wasn’t answering, Tony thought he was hesitating.
“What is it, little bear?”
“You don’t want to?”
“It’s not that I don’t want to.”
“I’m just wondering why you suddenly want to form an alliance with me.”
“Weren’t we already business partners?”
Ethan finally recovered and asked curiously.
Tony immediately relaxed after hearing that Ethan wasn’t refusing.
“Business partners are business partners.”
“An alliance is an alliance.”
“If we form an alliance, it means that you and I become friends and help each other.”
“With my current strength, I should be qualified to become your friend, right?”
Tony paused.
Seeing that Ethan still hadn’t answered, he added,
“Besides, I like you.”
“You’re young, but you’re reliable and mature.”
Ethan slowly walked over to the basement window.
He opened it and looked back at Tony.
“You need a battle to prove yourself.”
“After you’ve fought one, I’ll become your ally.”
With those words, Ethan disappeared.
Tony stood there blankly for several seconds before finally recovering.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
“What an unlikable little bear.”
Tony understood what Ethan was trying to do.
Ethan didn’t want Tony to feel inferior to him in their alliance.
That’s why he had deliberately said those words.
After returning home, Ethan washed up and climbed into bed.
He pulled the sleeping Hannah into his arms and closed his eyes.
Hannah sniffed sleepily.
Then she unconsciously grabbed Ethan’s arm and hugged it against herself.
After rubbing against it a few times, she quickly fell asleep again.
Ethan, however, couldn’t fall asleep immediately.
He kept screaming internally.
I really wanted to agree immediately!
Damn it, I really did!
In fact, Ethan had wanted to accept Tony’s offer on the spot.
But when he saw the unusually enthusiastic look in Tony’s eyes, he felt that something was wrong.
That wasn’t the Tony Stark he knew.
After thinking about it, Ethan understood.
Tony had never shown his usual mocking personality around him.
The reason was simple.
Tony had already witnessed Ethan’s strength.
Although Tony now had the Iron Armor, he hadn’t actually tested it in real combat yet.
He wasn’t completely sure how powerful it really was.
Ethan, however, knew exactly how powerful the Iron Armor would become.
That’s why he had said those words.
He wanted Tony to genuinely treat him as a friend.
Besides, Tony would eventually discover just how powerful the Iron Armor was.
Wouldn’t he?
As for increasing his own offensive power, Ethan had already come up with some ideas.
He planned to start preparing tomorrow.
The next morning, Ethan woke up and immediately called Tony.
He asked Tony to help him prepare several things.
Afterward, he woke Hannah up and took her out to have fun.
Around noon, Pepper called him.
She told him that the house was ready.
“Already?”
Ethan was completely stunned.
Buying a house!
Seriously?
Back in China, wouldn’t buying a house require running around for weeks or even months to deal with all the paperwork?
Yet Pepper had only learned about this last night.
She had started working on it that morning.
And by noon, everything was ready.
“You’re surprised?”
Pepper sounded rather pleased with herself.
“I contacted a villa owner this morning who was already preparing to sell.”
“Then I had people handle the paperwork.”
“Meanwhile, I arranged for movers to bring in furniture and clean the place.”
“Everything is ready now.”
“You can move in immediately.”
“Come over.
I’ll wait for you.”
She gave Ethan the address.
“Alright.”
“I’ll be there soon.”
“Pepper, you’re amazing.”
“When I arrive, I’ll introduce my girlfriend to you.”
After hanging up, Ethan took Hannah and caught a taxi to the new house.
When they arrived, Ethan discovered that the villa was in a residential neighborhood about twenty minutes on foot from Midtown High.
After entering the neighborhood, he immediately saw Pepper waiting outside a white villa.
Ethan quickly walked over with Hannah and thanked her.
He also introduced Hannah to Pepper.
Before long, Pepper and Hannah were chatting happily.
As they toured the house, Hannah even started asking Pepper about how she handled various matters.
Ethan watched from the side.
His heart began to tremble.
No.
Please don’t.
Don’t turn Hannah into a career woman.
I want my sweet, gentle Hannah.
I want the shy girl who doesn’t like socializing.
After touring the entire house, both Ethan and Hannah were extremely satisfied.
They decided to move in immediately.
“Alright.”
“After I leave, I’ll have the movers stay here.”
“They’ll help you move everything.”
Pepper clearly liked Hannah very much.
She smiled as she spoke.
After finishing the house tour, Pepper had to leave.
She handed Ethan the house documents and keys before getting into her car.
However, after starting the engine, she rolled down the window.
“Hannah is such a sweet and lovely girl.”
“Don’t you dare bully her.”
“You’re really lucky to have found someone like her.”
With that, Pepper drove away.
But Pepper also understood something.
For a girl like Hannah, meeting a devoted man like Ethan was also a stroke of luck.
After Pepper left, Ethan and Hannah split up with the movers.
They each returned to their respective homes to start moving their belongings.
When Ethan arrived home and his parents learned that he was already moving out, Daniel and Emily Chen were both surprised.
Once they learned that Tony Stark had helped arrange everything, however, they immediately understood.
America was simply like this.
If you had money, everything moved quickly.
If you didn’t, everything took forever.
