Venom faced more than a hundred symbiotes alone.

He was not nervous.

If anything, he was excited.

“Venom,” one of them snarled, “traitor.

You murdered and devoured your own kind.

Today we tear you apart.”

The room erupted in threats.

Venom only dragged his tongue over his teeth.

“Tear me apart?” he said.

“Come try.”

Dozens of tendrils burst from his back.

Each one reshaped into a blade, hook, spear, ax, or serrated edge.

The weapons flashed under the club lights.

Then Venom moved.

For a few seconds, he was a meat grinder.

Anything within thirty feet died.

Three dozen symbiotes were shredded in the first rush.

After that, the battle became uglier.

Venom outclassed them completely.

In less than ten minutes, the club stopped being a fight and became a feeding ground.

“You got stronger,” Evan said, genuinely surprised.

One against a hundred should not have looked this easy.

“Your evolution helps me too,” Venom said, already eating.

“The better your body becomes, the better I become.

We’re fused, remember?

I can feel myself changing.”

He kept devouring.

With this many symbiotes, even Venom needed time.

Half an hour later, he patted his stomach and belched.

“That was beautiful.”

“Don’t forget the four outside.”

“I didn’t.”

Venom licked his teeth and walked out of the club at an almost lazy pace.

Inside, the floor was blood, broken furniture, and remains.

Outside, the four bouncers still stood by the door, unaware of what had happened behind them.

Four tendrils snapped out.

The bodies lifted, tore apart, and vanished.

After that, Venom headed back to Fisherman’s Wharf.

The last time Evan devoured twenty-four symbiotes, he evolved.

This time, he had taken more than two hundred.

Another evolution was almost guaranteed.

He needed somewhere no one could interrupt.

The forest had failed.

Too visible.

Too much collateral.

This time, Venom chose the ocean.

He slipped through the harbor, stole a small yacht, and took it far from shore.

Open water surrounded them in every direction.

On the deck, Evan’s evolution began.

Green buds rose from his skin.

They lengthened into threads, wrapped around him, and formed another glowing cocoon.

Inside it, Evan fell asleep.

Night passed over the ocean in silence.

When the dark thinned and the first red light of dawn touched the water, Evan woke.

Then he looked down.

“Damn it.

I got smaller again.”

His sleeves hung past his hands.

His pants bunched around his ankles.

“So every evolution makes me younger.

Am I actually going to end up as a baby?”

The thought was horrifying.

If that happened, would he need milk?

No.

Absolutely not.

He refused to think about that any longer.

His body had shrunk, but the power inside it had grown.

Strength hummed under his skin, dense and explosive.

The more refined his body became, the stronger it felt.

The cocoon dissolved, and the green light sank back into him.

“That,” Evan said, stretching, “felt good.”

The sun rose over the ocean, red-gold and brilliant.

He walked to the edge of the yacht.

Then he did something reckless.

He lifted one foot and stepped off the deck.

His foot met empty air.

He did not fall.

Evan stood beside the yacht, floating over the sea.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
