Watching the two test subjects inside the lab slowly turn green and bulk up, Russell couldn’t help but marvel at the sight.

Compared to Russell’s calm demeanor, Dr.

Dr.

Wilson cheered wildly, waving his hands about, practically on the verge of running laps around the observation room.

The process of growing larger and turning green didn’t last very long—it ceased completely after barely half a minute.

Although they didn’t remain in the green, enhanced state continuously, it was enough to prove the experiment’s success.

Judging from their current vital signs, they had clearly integrated the Abomination Serum completely.

“Come with me to greet them in their newborn state!”

Without waiting for Russell’s reply, Wilson grabbed his arm and led him straight back into Lab 3.

“Vital signs normal, fusion reaction normal, no adverse rejection symptoms—everything is normal!”

After confirming their condition, Wilson turned to an assistant in the observation booth.

“Disengage the restraints!”

After Russell had effortlessly broken free from his bindings a month ago, Wilson had reinforced the restraint systems on the operating tables.

In Wilson’s own words, unless a subject could drag ten main battle tanks, there was no way they could break through the upgraded restraints.

He had even let Russell test the reinforced restraints himself, which ultimately ended in Russell’s failure.

“We haven’t determined whether the subjects are aggressive yet.

Isn’t it a bit too early to release the restraints?” an assistant standing near Wilson asked quietly, casting a quick glance toward Russell as he spoke.

Russell’s violent resistance a month ago had left a deep impression on these assistants, so they were hesitant to witness another subject rampage.

“It doesn’t matter.

With Russell here, even if they go wild, he can handle it.” You are reading on novelping.com, the official source.

Russell hadn’t spent much time with Wilson and didn’t know him well, but he always felt that Wilson possessed an inexplicable level of trust in him.

Wilson treated him almost like a core member of Hydra, displaying zero vigilance or guard against him.

It was precisely thanks to this strange trust that Russell had been able to gather a considerable amount of intelligence over the past month while enjoying surface-level freedom.

Though the assistant didn’t entirely agree with Wilson’s reasoning, he was just an assistant and had no choice but to obey.

As the restraints on the operating tables slowly unlocked, the two subjects sat up bit by bit, scanning Wilson and Russell before them with bewildered eyes.

Russell sensed a subtle, peculiar familiarity from the two—perhaps because they had been injected with his blood.

When Wilson stepped forward toward the male subject to inspect him up close, the male subject suddenly lashed out, thrusting his right hand toward Wilson’s throat.

The male subject’s movement wasn’t blazing fast, but it wasn’t slow either.

To Wilson and his assistant, the attack was sudden and far too fast for them to dodge.

To Russell, however, the attack was sluggish.

He had more than enough time to intercept it.

Just before the male subject’s right hand reached Wilson’s neck, Russell snatched his wrist and gave it a light twist, effortlessly deflecting the strike.

The male subject hadn’t expected Russell to catch his wrist.

Having just undergone enhancement, his consciousness was still hazy, so his instincts took over.

He tried to yank his right arm back, but realizing his strength couldn’t match Russell’s, he instinctively entered his enhanced form.

His skin turned green, his frame expanded, and his height—originally around 190 centimeters—surged by over twenty centimeters as he transformed.

Not only that, but his muscles bulged and swelled, bulking up at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Relying on his enhanced strength, the male subject finally pulled his right arm free. Find the original chapter at g.com.

But before he could do anything else, Russell’s right fist had already arrived in front of his face.

*BOOM!*

Taking Russell’s punch squarely in the face, the male subject was sent flying backward, slamming heavily into the lab wall and leaving a deep, glaring crater in the concrete.

“Do you want to try your luck too?”

After knocking the male subject away, Russell turned his head toward the female subject and spoke in a flat voice.

For reasons she couldn’t explain, despite his calm tone, an irrepressible surge of terror washed over the female subject on the operating table.

She instinctively shook her head and shrank back, trying to put distance between herself and Russell.

Russell saw her subtle movements clearly, but said nothing, walking straight over to the male subject he had just blasted.

Russell hoisted the 2.1-meter-tall, heavily muscled, green-skinned male subject up like a helpless chick, then said slowly, “Don’t do anything stupid if you want to stay alive.”

With that, he set the male subject back down and gestured for him to lie back on the operating table.

Under Russell’s overwhelming pressure, the male subject abandoned any foolish thoughts and quietly lay back down, letting Wilson and the others inspect him.

By the time Wilson finished the examination, half an hour had passed.

After fitting explosive shock collars onto the subjects’ necks—identical to the one Russell wore—Wilson arranged for them to be taken to their designated rooms.

“Based purely on the data, their level of enhancement is higher than yours and much closer to the original Abomination,” Wilson remarked, looking at the test report with a puzzled expression.

“So why were you able to suppress him so easily?

From a physical power standpoint, your body strength should be weaker than his!”

Though Wilson was a top-tier biologist, he was no combatant, so he didn’t understand that fights weren’t decided purely by raw stats.

“I’m a trained warrior; he’s just an ordinary person with brute force,” Russell answered simply.

While his answer was part of the reason, it wasn’t the full story.

During the clash with the male subject, Russell had indeed realized his physical strength was inferior to the man’s—and he had also noticed another strange anomaly.
